Who visited PMB? Members of the King family.

Who presented the award? Members of the King family?

So, the rubbish about the King center came from where?

How did the King center get into the conversation?

I must agree, we have serious unemployment issues, especially the way Nigerians peddle silly, pointless and fake nonsense all over the place.

Some people's understanding of issues is directly related to their wages.

As someone put it

"I can't make you understand what you're paid NOT to understand"
Sadly for you, your own wages are for ignorance, fake news peddling and inability to read and comprehend.

You CANNOT be this conscientious in ignoring stated facts. It's simply disgraceful.

The King Centre in responding specifically stated that the award WAS NOT given with permission from the King Centre, MLK family or Coretta Scott King.

Your post invalidates you.
Was any claim made by the Presidency that any award was given by the King Center?

The King center have every right to say they did not give out any award because they did not and fact remains that no claim was made that any award was given on their behalf so of what relevance is the silly noise and fake stories you people are peddling all over the place like jobless market women?

Ekweremadu has blazed the trail in repositioning his constituents and beyond. He has turned Enugu-west Senatorial district and beyond into one huge construction site. He has provided succour to the needy through his foundation, which he established long before he became a senator. He is the pride of Nigerian youths; a man of integrity, whose towering standing cannot be tarnished by the smears of hatred and political diatribes. Ekweremadu has brought energy, verve and intellectual depth to lawmaking in Nigeria. He is indeed the beacon of the Senate. He is a global statesman, respected for his robust commitment to and application of the dictates of democracy.

We cannot destroy our very best in the name of politics. People like Ekweremadu are generational thinkers. They do not come very often. If for any reason you destroy such people, you destroy the destiny of a nation

Politics › PMB To Flag-off The Lekki Deep Sea Port Project, Ibeju Lekki. Lagos by deomelllo(op): 2:45am On Mar 29, 2018
https://i2.wp.com/www.von.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/buhari.jpg

According to Bamigbetan, the President, will during the course of his visit carry out some groundbreaking ceremonies and inspect some ongoing projects in the State.

He said the President, on arrival, will attend the Colloquium organised to mark the 66th Birthday of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu scheduled to hold at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday. He said the President would perform the official flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port project, Ibeju Lekki. Bamigbetan said on completion, the multi-purpose Lekki Deep Sea Port, located at the heart of the Lekki Free Trade Zone, would be one of the most modern ports in West Africa, offering enormous support to the growing commercial operation across Nigeria and the entire West African region.

He said the President would also inspect the ongoing construction works at the Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island. He said the Eko Atlantic City Project, a planned city being constructed on land reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean, is projected to accommodate at least 250,000 residents and a daily flow of 150,000 commuters, adding that the development will also have a positive environmental impact, as it will help in stopping the erosion of the State’s coastline.

The Commissioner said the President would also commission the Ikeja Bus Terminal, expected to commute over a 100,000 residents across 23 bus routes in the State. According to him, the Ikeja Bus Terminal is part of the comprehensive plan to redefine public transportation which the present administration is implementing across the State. Aside the Ikeja Terminal, the Tafawa Balewa Square Bus Terminal has been commissioned, while work is ongoing in Yaba, Oyingbo, Ojota, Agege and other areas.

It would be recalled that the State’s Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal had on Tuesday announced traffic diversions and alternative routes ahead of the President’s visit assuring that adequate preparations have been made to mitigate the impact of the road diversions on residents, while access would be given to any emergency situation. The State Government had also declared Thursday, March 29 as work free day to ease movement in and around the State as well as enable Lagosians come out enmasse to welcome the President.

Seriously Nigeria is headed to total doom and destruction! The open injustice, tribalism, wickedness, one-sided judgment and heartless nepotism of the Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani is the major reason Nigeria will never progress till eternity.

God is not man, you can fool man but you cannot fool or deceive God or nature.

IBB, Abacha, Abdulsalami, OBJ, Buhari looted Nigeria dry and shared Nigeria's crude oil blocs to their girlfriends, family members and loyal friends but just ordinary 5 years, Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani said Goodluck destroyed Nigeria and they keep attacking him at every slightest opportunity they get, in fact to them, Goodluck was the reason Nigeria fought civil war, and the reason Nigeria is undeveloped and corrupt after 50something years of independence, but God of the powerless watching over the affairs of humans looked at their wicked gathering and put total disorganisation and allowed economic and security failure to befall this Buhari/APC government as a way of warning them but yet they have refused to listen.

God will shock them in the most deadliest way if they do not repent, only time will tell.

Yorubas, continue your unjust judgment and maltreatment of other tribes okayhuh Just a matter of time...1966 happened, humans forgot but God and nature never forgets, continue
One of my favorite pastimes is reading, enjoying and laughing at ipob sorry and pathetic rants.

We are having a 32-ton per hour rice mill in Imota and we are going to require 32,000 hectares of paddy cultivation which even the whole of the south west cannot even provide
The SW can not provide 32,000 acres to form rice? With all the land in the SW?

I like what LASG is doing, but every SW state cannot be like Lagos, they should go back to the old Awolowo regional formula. Industries, finance and commercial for Lagos, Ogun Agric and now industries, Ibadan for political and cultural capital, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo Agric and Cash crops.

Today, Cocoa is Nigeria's second largest source of foreign exchange after oil and the largest cocoa states in Nigeria are Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states. They should go back to that formula, it worked back then and it's still a very potent formula.

Osun revived the cocoa industries in Osun state and cocoa farmer are getting needed attention, but Ekiti and Ondo are not doing much, even though Cocoa is their strength and natural resources, just like some states have oil as their natural resources. Aric is their wealth, it was back then and it still can be.

The forum, which is being coordinated through the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, also signified interest in the concession of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Reading the communiqué to journalists, Director General of DAWN Commission, Mr Oluseye Oyeleye said: “The States of the Region as a bloc will be monitoring the process for the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Concession into a world class infrastructure
Took them forever to arrive at the conclusion that as the custodians and host of this vital infrastructure that they must be active and even proactive by taking total control of MMA and turn it into a world-class service airport.

Well, better late than never.

toxblue2411:
ambode was opportune to be in Lagos assuming he was in ekiti...he will b one of d worst governor...if a gov like fayose handled Lagos it will be far more developed than it was now
Going by your analogy, Akwa Ibom with just 5 million people as the richest state in Nigeria and for so many years poted larger budget than Lagos state, but Lagos state with 20 million people buried and can still bury the whole of Akwa Ibom with projects. Lagos state commissioned more projects and created more social programs than the whole of the SS and SE combined.

Delta state is the second largest debtor state in Nigeria, they collect more IGR, allocations, and derivations than many states in Nigeria and Delta state owe over N350 billion and budgets more money than Kano, Osun and many other states in Nigeria, but there's absolutely nothing on the ground to show for that huge debt, IGR, allocations, and derivations.

You can not buy credible, capable, visionary and competent leadership with money.

Fashola built the stone paving factory at the LASG works ministry, Ambode bought the machine to lay the stones.

This is what I love about Lagos state, the predecessor lays the foundation, the next governor takes it to the next level.

Lagos is truly working.

omohayek:
While I have to give Fayose some credit this time for acknowledging the obvious, namely that Tinubu has promoted the political careers of many talented and ambitious people like Fashola and Ambode, I also have to side with those who are asking what exactly Fayose himself has done to lift up the state he governs.

The excuse about Lagos having more money to work with is pure b.s., as Ekiti under Fayose currently employs more public sector workers than the whole of the old Western Region under Awolowo, who never had Lagos revenues or a federal allocation to work with. Besides, how does budgetary constraint stop Fayose from taking the kinds of measures Fayemi tried in order to improve the quality of primary and secondary education? After all, as Bill Gates pointed out recently, human capital is even more important than the physical kind being built in Lagos.

The sad truth is that the biggest obstacle to Fayose doing anything worthwhile in Ekiti is Fayose himself; the man is clearly content with the mediocre status quo under which he doles out the odd bit of spare change in publicity stunts but leaves the state's bloated public sector untouched, even as he steadily siphons off parts of the state budget to pay for his children to live flashy lifestyles abroad.
Sad, but very true.
