13th Governor of Lagos State

29 May 2007 – 29 May 2015

Stand by your computer because it's going to be a long day. grin grin grin

you have to check google or previous nairaland thread on the list of projects Ambode has built. you will always hide from truth here. Akinwumi Ambode has performed tremendously more than any governor in Africa.
lmao... I was expecting you to surrender and you just did.

Look here, I'm a native Lagosian and I follow government activities in Lagos more than any NLer dead or alive, hence asking you to ask around about me.

I post pictures of projects from Lagos to Ogun, Oyo and Osun state, the only places I don't bother with in the SW are Ekiti and Ondo states because they have nothing to show.

Now, while many of you just make noise about Ambode and his little roadside decorations and painted curbs, I look at his budget and what he's spending money on, what projects he's awarding and building, this is how you know and can list the projects any governor is working on.

There's a reason why you can not list any significant Ambode projects, the only significant project is the Oshodi terminal project. that's all.

Fashola is still the most accomplished governor in the history of Nigeria and ambode cannot even catch up.

You can not say Ambode is the best when other governors are delivering better and world-class projects, it makes no sense.

Ok, number 3.

Only 3?

1 Flyover.

1 Health center.

Ok, we have just 2 small projects so far..

Where are the rest?

Why is it so hard to list uncountable projects by the best governor in the whole of Africa?

I asked you to list Ambode's achievements, I did not ask you for a silly link of flyover commissioning.

Any other significant project beyond flyover? No.

Other states have moved beyond flyover, they are building world-class bridges and interchange.

This is the problem with you people, you make silly claims that you can not back up with facts.

It's even funny how states like Kano and even Ousn state are delivering multiple world-class projects while Ambode with the largest state budget in Nigeria is yet to deliver anything significant beyond ordinary flyover..

I did not ask you to spew more rubbish, I asked you to list Ambode's projects.

Fashola's work is enough to fill more than 10 pages on NL, but Ambode's work can not fill 1 single page.

Fashola's work goes beyond overhead bridge and basic roads which so far is Ambode's preoccupation which is very basic and non ground breaking per Lagos standard, but no governor in Nigeria past or present can overtake Fashola's achievements because his body of work was very comprehensive and across the board.

You have been a spokesman of Ogbeni aregbe on this forum. up till this moment, Akinwumi Ambode didn't owed any of his workers salaries in Lagos State. I repeat again, in terms of infrastructural development, entrepreneurship programmes and public health institutions, Ambode has surpassed any governor in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. you are so clueless to say the truth. check the Google on the bridges Ambode has constructed in Lagos State. check out on flyover and pedestrian bridges he has constructed in Lagos State. you will always be deceiving yourselves here by not saying the truth here. Ambode has achieved more than any governor in Africa.
[/s]

Roundabout arguments bore me for real, if you are going to make wild and ignorant comments per who is the best, common sense dictates that you list his achievements.

Instead of blabbing rubbish and making silly claims, list the so-called bridges and achievements.

I know your kind, you make bogus claims, but will never back up your claims with facts.

lol @ Ambode has surpassed any governor in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. grin grin grin

The joker is even talking about bridge, the best bridge in Lagos and Nigeria today was built by his predecessor. grin grin

Common pedestrian bridge that even poor states are building left and right grin

Anyway, just list your wonderful ambode infrastructures and projects or keep quiet...

Apc apologist, Ambode has achieved more than any governor in Nigeria and in Africa continent. what has your clueless osun state governor do. in 2 years, Ambode increase revenue of Lagos State. revenue of Lagos State in a day is total 1b naira. and you are here saying trash. Ambode has achieved more than all is predecessor. Your Ogbeni aregbe governor should first go and solve the sukuk loans he got from Islamic bank, he's even using workers salaries to offload the debt of the state. in all ramifications, Ambode has achieved more than your mentor Ogbeni aregbe.
What is this one blabbing about? grin grin

lol @ Ambode has achieved more than any governor in Nigeria and in Africa continent. grin grin

To start with, stop with the Ogbeni mentor rubbish because you obviously don't know me so I suggest you ask around about me. grin grin

Stop making wild claims that you can not support with facts because I fit shame you grin grin

Apart from the substandard roads ambode is littering all over Lagos state and 1 flyover, he's yet to commission any significant project.

You sound like ipob sef... grin grin

I have not see a governor that's workaholic and honest in his assignments. he has supersede his predecessor. no governor since 1999 has break Ambode record. well-done sir.
Slow down, Ambode is yet to attain 1/4 of Fashola's first 3 years achievements or even Argebsola's achievements.

Even Ganduje in Kano is performing better than Ambode in terms of infrastructures and service delivery.

Ambode's record per Lagos standard is very weak and disappointing, looks like he's performing wonders because many governors in Nigeria are useless.

Fashola is the most accomplished Governor in the history of Nigeria and Ambode is not even anywhere close.

Efewestern:
I clearly understand your point, but my issue with the law is that it was too one sided, stuffs like that should be limited to Primary and secondary, not that students even pass Yoruba without expo anyway.

I believe when making judgement we should at all time reason from different angles. I might be wrong on this, but I don't support the lagos state government on this.

What the law means, before you can school in any of our state institution, you must be able to speak and understand Yoruba, this doesn't sound well for me.
Efewestern:
Another example is Lagos state, forget all those rubish you read online, Lagos is a big slum, even with all her potentials what have they done with it?, instead we have the likes of tinubu ruling the state indirectly.
Efewestern:
hmmm..

Do not moved by what you see online, Ogun is no better than any other state in Nigeria, all na parkaging .

Even Lagos na still overhype, like the way I they hype waffi most times
.
Fact is, you have zero credibility here and your misguided argument is based on your hate, dislike and anti Lagos sentiments.

You think Lagos is a slum, Lagos is over-hyped and even though the topic of discussion in this thread is the new Yoruba Language law, but your first post in this thread was irrelevant and off topic rubbish about dirty Lagos.

Besides, of what relevance is your meaningless argument? The people of Lagos via their elected representatives charged to make decisions for the people of Lagos state made the right call, it doesn't have to be right in the eyes of Lagos hating people like you, but it's the right call in the eyes of the people of Lagos and the Lagos electorates.

You dey make my belle sweet with all these good, good information.

I know wailers will rather celebrate and rejoice over herdsmen / farmers clash and killing news instead of a good news like this. I wonder what they will be left with after the Govt succeed in quelling the herdsmen clashes.
That the project would save the country about $7.5 billion annually in foreign exchange being used to import petroleum products and also generate $5 billion foreign exchange earnings annually.

https://www.cbn.co.za/component/k2/dangote-refinery-africa-s-biggest-refinery-takes-shape
Even if we invest all our $42 billion savings, it won't guarantee or earn us $7.5 billion/per year. Whatever we helped Dangote with was money well spent and the best investment ever.

The $7.5 billion is more than enough to build many roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, universities and so on or even reinvested in similar ventures like Dangote refinery by other Nigerian industrialists.

These low intellect ipobs are sadists and miserable people.

What's god for Nigeria makes them sad and unhappy.

Where are you getting this fake information from?
Assuming CBN assisted Dangote refinery in any way, do you know when last Nigeria was self sufficient in Petroleum products, without importation?

Bad belle no go kill you.
Not only petroleum products, we are also getting the largest fertilizer plant in Africa, largest petrochemical plant in Africa, largest Gas plant in Africa. we are basically going to be self sufficient in so many products, products that our manufacturers, farmers and the Nigerian government won't be spending our foreign exchange on.

The poster you quoted and his kind are the typical ignorant and unintelligent jokers you see running up and down on NL posting rubbish..

Politics › Re: All Yoruba States Must Enact Law To Preserve Our Language by deomelllo: 6:44pm On Feb 14, 2018
Habakus:
All these Yoruba subgroups you mentioned migrated to Lagos just like the Ijaws and binis about the same period, with some other ethnic groups migrating to Lagos even earlier than some of the Yoruba subgroups you mentioned.
How you then insist Lagos is owned solely by the Yorubas is still a mystery and proper history revisionism that is keenly contested by others including the Oba of Lagos himself.
I really don't want to drawn into this argument again as it has been rehearsed on this forum severally.
Lagos as the former FC was confined to Lagos Island and doubting Yoruba ownership of Lagos is a reflection of your own ignorance, unless you have a different reason why they are and have been ruling Lagos Island and the rest of Lagos administratively and traditionally.

When the white man landed in Lagos Island, they met and dealt with Yoruba people, they signed treaties with Yoruba Oba and Yoruba people.

The whole of Lagos mainland from Apapa to Ikeja, Ikorodu, Epe and beyond were all part of the Western Region, core Yoruba states.

Ikeja the seat of Government today was part of the western region and Lagos as the industrial capital of Nigeria was created by the Awolowo, the premiere of the western region with the establishment of industrial estates all over the western region from Apapa industrial estate to Ikeja, Matori, Mushin and Ilupeju industrial estates, not by any FG or ibo people.

When Awolowo was doing this in Lagos state as the premiere of the western region, ZIK as the premiere of your village eastern region was incompetent and sitting on his lazy hands doing nothing. This is why your region have zero meaningful industries, this is why you have no jobs and must leave your unproductive towns and villages to look for work and survival in the SW.

Your problem is self-inflicted ignorance and inability to read your history books.
