afroniger:
Kai. This your blind hatred for Ambode is clearly affecting your thinking and you are now even misrepresenting his accomplishment. I am sure even Fashola that you claim to be fighting for does not hate the man this much. You keep saying he has only built one flyover, which is an indication that you are either ignorant or just a shameless liar. Everybody knows that Ambode has built two flyovers so far, one in Abule Egba, another one in Ajah, and a third is already being built at Agege and will be completed by the end of this year. He has also eased traffic in the Lekki-Ajah axis by taking off those needless roundabouts. Equipped Lasema/LRU emergency response to be the envy of all. Under him the state police have better vehicles that befit a mega city and better equipment. We can all see whatbhe is doing in Oshodi as well, including the terminals he's building all over the state. These are just a few of the infrastructural projects he has executed even before rounding up his first term.

Ambode cannot repeat exactly the same things that Fashola did. He has his own style and focus, so i dont get this your obsession with the man. He's not perfect, and neither was Fashola. Stop behaving like a bitter woman who just hates for the sake of it.
People make comments like yours when they don't know anything about Lagos or what Lagos is capable of achieving with available resources and capacity.

There is a problem when Lagos under your predecessor with half the funds that you have was better and moving forward than under you with x2 more money than your predecessor.

Under his predecessor, Lagos was cleaner and his predecessor at the same point ambode is in right now built many schools, hospitals, waterworks, skills centers, jetties, roads, bridges including Lekki Ikoyi bridge (Still the best in Nigeria), housing estates, Lagos Metro and 10 lane badagry expressway, power plants, markets, new courts, and government institutions and so on, but what are we getting under ambode?

Just minuscule here and there projects.

No major or futuristic projects, nothing groundbreaking or something to look forward to.

...but what is ambode doing with N833 billion, the largest in the history on Nigeria? Dirty, stinking Lagos and backward Lagos is what we are getting.

What you don't get about my obsession with Lagos and Ambode is the fact that I'm a Lagosian and I know where my state was before ambode and where it is right now. Flyover here and there doesn't bother me because I know what the men before him delivered.

Btw, funds for the police cars and LASEMA tools came from the Security trust fund Fashola created and Fashola himself put all that in place before ambde assumed office.

Fashola built that institution from scratch.

Even though the useless ambode is sitting on the Largest state budget in the history of Nigeria N830 billion (Twice what Lagosians gave Fashola), Lagos is massively dirty, nothing is working and there's almost no project apart from 1 flyover, painting streets here and there and decorating motor park.

His predecessors from Jakande to Tinubu and Fashola moved Lagos state forward, but Lagos is moving backward instead forward under ambode

Who is hating on another man's success? So, in your myopic brain, other South West states, apart from LAGOS, does not deserve progress cos that was my point hence why I said what is good for Lagos is good for Ogun, Osun, Ekiti and others.

I can't be screaming Eko Oni Ba Je when I am from Ogun state and we can't boast tangible development...as is experienced in Lagos. that is my point.
All the states in the SW and in Nigeria in general deserve progress and development, but common sense should tell clearly and intelligently that whatever progress and development can not be the same and at the same level, based on their economic realities, geographical location and available resources and even based on leadership drive and qualities.

We all should be clamouring for even development, at least to an extent, not lopsided developments. What is good for Lagos, is good for Ogun, Ekiti, Osun and all South Western state...

I can't be claiming Imo state's success when I am from Anambra... that is stupidity.
Shows how misguided, illogical and mentally flawed some of you are.

I'm a Lagosians, but I still want, love, praise and welcome progress and development n every Yoruba state, even across Nigeria.

I'm not from the SE or Imo state, but I've celebrated progress and development in Imo state, in Kano state, in Jigawa, in Adamawa, in Kaduna, in Osun state, in Ogun state, in Oyo state and so on.

Advocating and prescribing togetherness while at the same time refusing to recognize and acknowledge progress and development within your own SE community sound contradictory and hypocritical.

You are either confused or just mentally docile.

About even development, that sounds illogical and impractical since all the states in Nigeria are not blessed with the same geographic, resources and leadership advantages.

Every state in Nigeria can not be like Lagos, not even with all the money in the world.

For many years, Akwa Ibom and even Rivers state with 5 million people each passed larger budgets than Lagos with 20
million people, but Lagos still achieved and delivered more projects than both states combined.

Delta state is the second largest debtor state in Nigeria with over N300 billion debt and Akwa Ibom with more debt than Osun state, but Lagos and Osun state still delivered more projects and services than both states. There's basically nothing on the ground in Delta state.

Money and resources can not buy credible, capable and competent leadership.

To arrive at the best pot of soup, you need more than one ingredient, this is basic common sense.

You are mentally lost and confused.

Call me what you want. Its nothing to me. But all honest honest Nigerian have seen the clannishness of this PMB Govt. The promotion of one ethnic group as well as religion over another and the lies told everyday in the face of the reality.

The one that amuses me the most in all their postulations is when they keep on quoting inflation at 15%. Truth be told inflation is at roughly 50%. If it were 15% Nigerians would not be committing suicide and walking about with stress written all over them. Free your self my brother from your blind followership. Nigeria is dying and PMB alongside APC is the poison afflicting the nation.

I am Afonja as rightly termed by Igbos and I support the need for both Major ethnic group in the South to work together to take our destinies away from these Born to rule Hausa-Fulani. But before any peace pact can be drawn on Nairaland, Igbos most refrain from calling Lagos "a no man's land". We agree all Nigerians have contributed to the Developement of Lagos but it is still our ancestral land that has had huge advantage over any state in Nigeria by virtue of the early Portuguese traders and the British colonialist.

I campaigned in my own little way for Buhari in 2015 as I also campaigned for GEJ in 2011 and now I support the removal of Buhari by the use of our votes.

Igbos must understand that many Yorubas did not vote out GEJ because he favoured Igbos more, we simply voted him out because of how he allowed Corruption to fester in his Govt. So it was never a mistake voting out GEJ and now we must also vote out Buhari in 2019.

The only way we can salvage our destinies away from the Northern Oligarchy is only if these two major tribes to work hand in hand together especially the Yoruba Christians and Liberal Yoruba Muslims.

Even as a Yoruba man I know we have some Extremist Yoruba Muslims who always support the North over their tribes men but these extremist Yorubas are few in Numbers compared to the Yoruba Christians and Liberal Yoruba Muslim.

Yorubas,Igbos,SS minorities and non muslim minorities of the Middle Belt can work together to overturn the core North's dominance.
Unfortunately for you, ibo people are by nature anti-collaboration, anti-unity and cannot peacefully co-exist with other people, not even with their own fellow ibo men and women. Other regions across Nigeria are not oblivious or clueless par these facts about ibo people hence the need to always sidetrack and ignore them.

You can not collaborate with them since all they have to offer or bargain with is hatred, bitterness, tribalism and bigotry.

Their ignorant and unintelligent replies in this thread clarified their odious ways, bigoted, backward and anti-other people mentality.

Be realistic and stop fooling yourself.

A lot of people are missing the point. We all know that the possibility of Buhari losing the election is there. However, the one question that defies answer is if he will behave like Jonathan and concede defeat. They say he is a "reformed democrat" but we have also tasted how much of what APC sold us and how much is actual. Now the North is behaving as if it won a Jihad and as if Buhari is Holy Mohammed. With people like Ango Abdulahi spewing vile and thrash one can expect the North to refuse defeat unlike "weak and democratic" Jonathan.
Sadly for you ipobs and religious bigots, you can remove PMB from office with religious bigotry, hatred, bitterness, tribalism and ignorance.

PMB is definitely not the best we can offer as a country and I don't even think any candidate in the current Nigerian landscape, young or old is capable or can get us to the promise land.

Sure, PMB can be defeated, even any candidate can be defeated, but sadly for PDP, village ipobs, and anti-Nigerian elements, PMB cannot be defeated by the PDP or any variation of the clowns out there.

The way things are in Nigeria at the moment, PMB will win the next election simply because PMB is not a viable or acceptable choice for Nigerians.

As far as Nigerians are concerned, PDP is a grossly corrupt political party full of equally corrupt, crooked and incompetent clowns.

The PDP is nothing but damaged good and Nigerians won't touch the PDP with a million foot pole.

Those new MRAPs (CS/VP3 Bigfoot, REVA, RG-31 Nyalas, Streit Spartan MK1s & 2s)
Those new attack helicopters (Mi-35M hinds, including those delivered under PMB's watch. Yeah, GEJ PAID for those)

And what has the PMB administration purchased for the military and security services? Let's see...
