He talked about a state where he resides and also pays his tax to...When the government was using monies from other states to build federal infrastructure in Lagos, such as third mainland bridge, Apapa sea port, etc...you didn't ask the government the name of the states those monies were coming from... rubbish
Even the federal roads that led to your state, LG and village were built by allocations from the federation. Yet you find it difficult to talk about that. You own is to denigrate Lagos at every post, while your own LG has gone to ruins.

Ofunaofu:
Why did you tactically avoid mentioning the SDP? Last I checked, the SDP still exists as a political party.

AD is still existing as a political party, Tinubu decamped from the AD in his prostituting and party-hopped to the AC

You talk about evolution, what kind of evolution? Tinubu’s prostituting between parties evolution? The kind of evolution to an end where you ‘grab it, snatch it, and run with it’?
Is your own candidate's hands too short or w8ak to "grab it, snatch it and run away with it" too?

As hungry as he is for presidential power, let him enrol in Jagaban's school for political neophyte to learn how to do this. Or he will continue to wail in vain.

I have a lot to say, but looking at this thread, all I see is tinubu and obi supporters trying to make each other look bad. None of them is ready to see the big picture, and as such, discussion on this matter, or my saying anything, will just lead me to get abused and yelled at.

Nigerians, as a whole, don't care about economic reforms. They care about their side winning.

Good luck to all the people on this site. When you are ready to discuss economics without political jokes, call me.
Oga nairalanda1,

Please don't leave our country economically stranded without your wise counsel.

We are now calling you, in fact begging you, to please advise our leaders and us on how this country can prosper once again without us being taxed to the bones. We are tired of tariffs and taxes on every good and service we are buying, they have completely eroded our meagre incomes.

Moreover, this subsidy removal has only enriched our governors, ministers and institutional heads, without impacting we the common masses. What should the government do to make us benefit from it, and to increase our living standards?

We need your erudite opinions on this sir.

Crime › Re: Update On Arrest Of Self-Acclaimed "Obi Of Lagos" - LSPC by dequir: 8:37am On Sep 12, 2025
Tbagwell80:
I am very sure you are either Yoruba or APC. With due respect to my sane Yoruba friends, the exposure that comes with this internet is regrettable and funny at the same time. It has exposed how small minded most of you are. Kemi is aspiring to be a prime minister in UK while attacking Nigeria. No one has called the Yorubas out. Some foreigners win elections in western world simply because the area is dominated by foreigners and we haven't seen whites crying. Why can't you focus on keeping up instead of this self defeat. You bow down to mere men and call it respect and you think those who do not do same lack respect. In my work place, we call our CEO by his first name or at most we add Mr. Igbos form association anywhere they find themselves and they use it to organize cultural shows, help each other during trying times. This is not happening only in Lagos but all over the world. Even in University days, we had local government meetings every Wednesday afternoon to build a community under a tenured president. We have Eze Igbo in Texas and people don't even give a Bleep. Some Hausa/Fulani do this. In major markets like Ama Hausa in Owerri, they have their leader and no Igbo cares about the title they give themselves or who they vote for during elections. If we start arresting people by what name they bear, 1/10th of Nigerians might be in jail. Unless their is a petition by NSE on the use of Engr title or he signs official engineering documents off, then there is no crime under our laws that I know of. No one will arrest you if you start answering doctor but you will be arrested if you start treating patients as a fake doctor. Traditional leaders do not have binding powers in Nigeria but only to safe guard the culture of those that subscribe to such. Same with religious leaders. The self acclaimed Igbo king can't order Yorubas to stop eating in Lagos, they can't even order Igbos in Lagos to do things. Why is the police wasting energy on this if they're not political? Igbos have halls in Lagos and they rent it out for events and also use it for meetings. How does this affect an ordinary Igbo in Lagos, let alone Yorubas? I can invite friends to donate to my house building just as friends form committee for wedding donations. It is not mandatory. This will amount to a crime if they have an organization and mandate members to pay or donate and theirs a lead by the people in the organization that he plans to run with the money. Don't expect everyone to behave like your tribe as you are not the standard. Under Tinubu, Lagos gets 3.5 Trillion from our national treasury for development and you defend it that it's our cosmopolitan state and commercial hub of Nigeria. Then you turn around that the same Lagos developed by our collective cash must bow to a certain man who is not even from Lagos. How low could a people go?
This long turenchi for nothing.

We are saying we do not want this camouflaged display of arrogancy and take over in Yorubaland, in the same way that the Ghanaians rejected it.

So what's your headache with that?

Take your wahala to your own part of the country, and let peace reign in Lagos.
