do we expect good dividend from GTB?
.

As sure as they will not rebrand tomorrow.

NB: Longterm, medium term and Short term are arbitrarily relative financial time-bomb terms deployed by financial architects to create a smokescreen/traps to cover their predictive errors.
Since I believe you are not one, use the georgian calender and define in precise days, weeks, months and years your investment horizon.... grin

Someone shouting somewhere sometime somehow here that we rush into property.
ZENITH/GTB returned 30%+/.....within a week. Even before that lawyer might have decided on where to spend his commission..... grin
Bad advice wrongly received is like bad breath...
Properties market is good and almost the best until you enter OMONILE'S (not sure of the spelling...) hands etc. There are almost limitless loss factors embeded in the warped equation of anything LAND...
I prefer to be scammed on the exchange, our well organized gambling platform than by a group of unlettered........when superior analysis or even insider information creates a pit for me, I still prefer it cos it leaves me exercised intellectually.

Scan through the NSE and compare prices...Some stocks are claiming to be defensive now but will BURN your fingers soon. After the known 'bad' ones selling like insurance stocks now pick up, the FAKE DEFENDERS will start melting...... cheesy.
Ye must be discerning....prices are now deceptive....

FCMB result aka bomb shell, likely to be released today.

Currently, everyone is trying to get out before the bomb is dropped.
.

STOCKS whose bad results are expected usually do wonders when the bad result has been OVER FACTORED into the share price and the stocks are actually doubly cheaper than their worse peers who remain silent on PROFIT WARNING for the directors and other insiders to take several weeks to offload.

if you bought the stock def from the floor they should update your records but some registrars wouldn't.
1)from my dealings veritas, marina, first reg, meristem reg will update without you even informing them.
2)gtl formerly union you'll have to give a call if you have a mandate already and notify them if your new purchases.
3)cardinal will tell you that u must come to their office
You don chop dividend for long.
Some registrars are so skilled in delaying or making it almost unattractive to venture processing dividend with them. CARDINAL STONE is one.
Unfortunately you cant change registrars like you can in case of brokers....Registrars are fixed and some of them are EVIL..... grin

zenith, access, fb and most bank stocks are on full offer.

whts going on in cadbury? its jumping.
Zenith will still pay N1.75 in DIV.
Access will still pay >=N0.35 DIV.

Do not time the market when within safe margins, except you are a broker on the floor.
A time will come when looking back you will realise that entering @ N11 or N14 made no difference.
what difference does it make for someone who JI @ N50 and another who JI @ N55 for FO?

Which is a better choice between GTB and ZENITH in terms of FYE15 dividend expectation/capital appreciation in the light of:

1. Possible Crackdown on errant banks/bankers who soiled their hands in last administration.
2. TSA effect.
3. Impairements especially oil/gas related.

I appreciate your honest views.
We are not competing.... grin

You now see the secret behind the crash in the market....Forget all the oil crash distractions....The cowboys caused a panic to get value stocks at extremely low prices to take position for the dividend and capital appreciation. Like i said some days ago, the low prices we saw in some stocks, we might not see it any time soon for now.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
WHO IS MAKING MONEY NOW?
1. STOCKBROKING FIRMS....YOUR GAIN OR LOSS IS THEIR GAIN, ONCE YOU PRESS 'EXIT'
2.........
3.........

The banks with stockbroking arms are still making something as we are running out, you cant exit without them gaining and cant also re-enter without them gaining.

4. LIST THE LEADING STOCKBROKING FIRMS.

When they decide and start their Abracadabra (FO on my mind) we will be seeing all bids and no offers until they reach the promised land. I DO NOT BELIEVE THINGS ARE SO BAD AS TO WARANT THE PRICES WE ARE SEEING......WATCH IT.....THE ECONOMY WILL STILL BE DRIVEN FORWARD EVENTUALLY BY ALL THESE COYS AND BANKS....IMAGINE IF YOU JUST CONVERT $10, 000 NOW, YOU MAY BUY A GOOD CHUNK OF ZENITH THAT WHEN YOU UNWRAP, MAY FIND JIM OVIA INSIDE..LOL...I REST HERE.
