That said, whether u are or with DSS or not, is no longer anyones's cup of coffee, All d info about dss am giving here is jst cos am not with DSS yet, if i were, i wont say anything regardin dss in any public forum like dis. d thread seems to be taking a different turn now and few think am claiming to be incharge, i am not, please. Initially i had been silent on d thread until at a time i decided to to share d info i hav regarding d recrutment n since den av been answering pple's questions. I made it clear d source from which i do get d info i give to d thread, so dat evryone shud knw dat am not speculating or doin hear-say but obviously some feel uncomfortable and all sweaty. Finally, i am retreating frm d thread, no further comments from mine end... Patience was, but now SILENCE is golden! Are one supposed to posted back to his state command of origin just like during IT or Officers are randomly posted across the commands in th country?

Are they supposed to shave just like other security personnels? Desdee over to u sir!

After POP everybody is posted to various states but not ur state of origin except by luck or chance, and yes sir DSS dont permit bears, u must always shave clean.

Don't just take it the wrong way, is better we know d limit we can go dan to tarnish our image just in d name of trying to feel relevant.
There are ppl here on this thread dat has ppl inside the DSS and they are dishing out info too on dis thread but dey never mention dem on the thread.

What made you think if you as a prospective DSS Officer will know the answer to the question u asked above, Mightyfada won't know the answer let's assume he is a blogger as u claimed not a DSS officer as he claimed to be. Mind you dat most of the real bloggers can easily get their ways to get some infos if they want to.
Besides, a true DSS Officer won't answer this kinda coded question in a public like this forum. So, better chill with yo question and forget about who is a true DSS or NOT.
We are here for a relevant infos and let's free who ever is here to drop infos for us whether he/she is a DSS or not.
And if you a ardent follower of this thread right from day 1, you will see where he mentioned dat he is a Computer Science man by profession and wanted to go for MSc bfr the DSS job clicked for him and he is about to go for MSc in Criminology.
Am not saying all what he has said are true but I av no option dan to take it as he had said. After all, nothing concern me with his personal life for now, am only here for relevant infos.

I only have problem wit him for claiming to be a dss officer whch he is not... D term serial alpha is known to every dss personnel both junior and senior officers, they all learn those code languages when in training school... yes bros DSS has official quarters for personnel, staying there is not compulsory. If u stay in d official house a perticular amount is deducted every month frm ur salary, if u rent a house by urself den no deduction. In DSS u are entitled to what they call STUDY LEAVE, but dats only after u hav worked for 7years and above. D study leave has 3 options: 1. Study leave without pay. 2. Study leave with half pay. 3. Study leave with full pay. Each of d options has its own advantages and disadvantages.

yes my bros d medical screening involves blood test. We were told dat d test is to make sure u are free from any form of sickness or disease.

my chairmen and would-be DSS officers how una dey? D waiting for dis DSS pple their call or text seems like taking forever to come abi? Dats cos our minds right now have all been focused on dat so its jst asif days no dey move and honestly it can be very frustrating, but d sure thing is dat we r getting closer n closer so nothing dey happen! during d vetting u will fill form dat require almost all information about u including refrees and ur neighbours contact.
so I believe wat dey are doing now is verification of those information buy asking ur referees and ur neighbours about u.
I said dey went to somebody house after calling d person father, d person is one of those dat I saw during d vetting so we exchange contact.
Remember Desdee101 said earlier dat everyting is in d hand of d state command so urs may still call u later for d same process. some one also said dat Abuja has not contacted anyone yet.

mind u I dont ave any connection I jst apply, wrote exam and I was invited for interview and later I was call for vetting. dats y I alway drop any info so dat other ppl dat knw better like Desdee101 can help. thanks

baabaa u are good 2go!!! Various state commands are doing their thing d way they consider best, while waiting for HQ DSS to give further instructions... We keep on waiting till they call... NB: Airforce DSSC application started ysterda and will end 13 april, age limit is 35years, application is FREE. We can still apply that one while waiting for DSS, abi? Afterall its free and online.

Amen. bros abeg ppl are talking about list b4 camp, is it for state who have not called after d interview or including those that called after d interview. like in ur state do u tink with all tings being equall there will b another list or wat ur waiting for is camp resumption.

from my observation, some states invited plenty pple for interview so they will pick d final names from there and den call on those ones, some other states jst invited only d number of pple they want to shortlist. But i believe all dat has been done already, what we r all expecting now is a call or text msg frm DSS inviting us to carry our bags n baggages and report at our various states commands for onward journey to lagos...

Av read d article, i can still tell u dat those pple sent out of d camp are pple dat got in thru d influence of one BIG MAN, POLITICIAN or friends of d former DG. D new DG jst gave an order for dat 2014 recruitment process to be thoroghly reviewed and remove anyone who got in thru d "back door", back door here doesnt only mean fake certificates or false documents, it also means those who didnt make it to d camp genuinely but thru d help of one influancial person or d other. Definitely once u are in u asume dat u hav scaled thru d hurdles so if they vet u further n discover whatever they dont want u can still be sacked even if u have been working there 5 or 10years ago. I can tell u here dat i knw a man who was sacked after 7years of service, why? During conduit vetting wen dss personnel went to d polytechnic he graduated from, his former lectuere told dem d guy was a cultist n trouble maker in d school wen he was a student. Dat singular report resulted to d sack of dat guy after 7years in DSS. Talkless of those who r jst still in training school...

I went through 2014 recriutment forum on nairaland. in fact after reading most of d commect I almost give up. some ppl said dey scored d highest in their state but dey where not call to camp. some said d 1st and d 2nd where not call but d 3rd person was called. some said d finall list was pasted at their state command dat 5 where selected per state but how come over 300 where present in camp. some their state did not conduct interview. some said dey even did documentation but where not call to camp.
my question is DO PEOPLE GET THIS JOB ON MERIT. bcs is like each state command can do wat ever dey like. some ppl in dis particular thread even said d 5 men list is already in Abuja.

bros dat 2014 recruitment was hijacked by politicians and they used money to force d former DG DSS to dance akpako to their tune. D man also used d opportunity to fix in his state pple cos dat ws his last chance to do dat befor his retirement. D man was extremely used by PDP, dats why about 75 cadets were sent out of d training bfor POP because it ws discovered dat they didnt evn submit applications let alone write aptitude test. Lets hope dis current DG is credible and wont dance azonto to d politicians' music dis time.

eyaaa my bros d form was on sale o but my uncle's cousin's nephew bought d last one yestrday n wrote d test yestrday. now even one single form no remain to buy... Lolzz

bros more seriously now, DSS dont sell forms, u jst submit an application letter wit photocopies of all ur credentials at d DSS office in ur state of origin. For degree holders n ssce cert holders, aptitude tests have been done already about 3 and 2 weeks ago. For Diploma n NCE holders, DSS hasnt startd receiving applications yet. So if u have OND or NCE u can submit wen they start any time soon. Cheers

boss no matter how long they delay it, one thing still remains sure and cant be changed, d cadet officers' basic course 29 must come and go. Bossman remember i once said i dont do speculations abi? I havnt gotten a confirmed info regarding d date trainin will commence dats why i havent told us yet. 1.Do they pay in training? Yes! (allowanc/allawee)
2.How much? Undisclosed amount, but gud enough to sustain u and allow u enter mami.
3.will they feed u or u feed urself? Yes they feed cadets 3times daily, u can still feed urself at d mami if their food no do you. Jst like our nysc camp time.
4. Things dat will make u succeed in training are: maintain a clean record thru out ur stay there, dont get entangled in relationship mess with any female there, be present always wherever u r supposed to be present, pass all d tests and exams with good scores, perform well in physical exercises wch include crosscountry jogging, pressups, shooting practice, karate n taekwondo, etc.
5. Things dat can remove u or keep u longer in training school are: any form of misbehaviour, e.g drunkeness, flirting, impregnate any lady, fail tests or exams, leave d premises without permission, absent urself wher u r supposed to be present, disobey camp rules and regulations, stealing etc. Avoid all these and u will pass out successfully.

hy guys... Life in DSS training school is not as tough and rigid as dat of d army airforce NDA crap where pple even die in d process. Popsman served as instructor there for 5years and hes telling me dis evening dat cadets are only paid allowance and also fed 3times daily. But at d end of d duration u receive complete 10months salary wch is over 1.2m currently for SIO IIs. He said games and sports activities are aven allowed at weekends, no one is allowed out of d premises except with d permision of d director in charge. Thers also what they call un-armed combat training wherby chinese instructors teach cadets karate and taekwondo. He says phones and cameras are allowed even as at 2014, except if d current DG has introduced new rules and policies to d service. All in all, training school period will be fun and lively, me myself and I will buy my car as soon as my 10months pepper enter my hand o, i dont knw abt u guys but if am resuming work as a cadet SIO II, mehn na in a big way o. How i go wear my suit con climb bike or enter bus dey go work? Dat devil is a liar!!! Lolzzzz

boss its 10months, 6months in d training school, 3months I.T in ur state command den final month back in trainin school where u write and submit ur case project. Passing Out Parade and commissioning done at d end for all successful cadets. Dis is a confirmed info, believe me. Cheers
