Politics / Re: Do You Accept Renaming Unilag To Moshood Abiola University (MAU) VOTE by Desert01: 10:26am On May 29, 2012
I don't understand what he is trying to achieve ooh. MKO university + June 12 + Rallies I really do not think MKO is in the league of Awolowo and the likes. He was a presidential candidate who was treated unfairly not a freedom fighter. I guess my beef is not for MKO it is for the change of name. University of Lagos is iconic enough It is just like University of Delhi, University of Washington, University of London. Who does that ? sad
Business / Re: Does N150k Withdrawal Limit Affect Domiciliary Account Holders? by Desert01: 12:18pm On Aug 25, 2011
This guys amazes me !! The ATM machines in front of banks are not even safe from fraudsters yet , now they will want us to carry our cards to shops , What security measures have been put in place so I don't lose my money. All that is needed for a thief to rob you now is an internet connection "Logon and transfer your money or lose your life !!!" grin . Naija style of putting the cart before the horse .
Travel / Re: Motives Behind The Constant Desire To Travel Abroad by Desert01: 12:11pm On Aug 25, 2011
I would say I travelled abroad to study. But secretly in my mind I am constantly hoping for a better future. But as the time goes by and I see "senior" colleagues (imagine an LLM ) doing menial jobs for a living and posing on facebook with primark clothes I ask myself is the Grass actually greener on the outside sad . I wouldn't call it a bad thing though because I haven't seen my own outcome yet grin . But on the positive side the time spent here has really exposed me to cultures and demystified myth about different races not to even talk about the wealth of knowledge I have(thanks to constant fast internet I have , outstanding lecturers with good electricity.). Will I ever use what I am being taught ?? , A question that puzzles me because naija is a consumer society not a producer . When I have my way though I am coming straight to naija where my bills and taxes are not as high and I can get a decent job without looking inferior . grin

I have focused on my book for so long rounding lipsrsealed up my masters now and still nothing yet. I have worked for sometime before my masters and during my "work time" I have had no Gf because I was just too busy 6:00am to 11:00pm (Hold up included) kinda of work. So I am just wondering when should I start looking then.
Romance / Do I Need To Do More by Desert01: 12:19am On Aug 24, 2011
I have been a quite lad probably being on the book side for sometime. I am presently in need of a GF but I find it hard to get one . When I try asking a lady out I get turned down that if I ever try. Just a side question do ladies want to be chased constantly or is a No suppose to be a No ? I get confused with all this signs of their and wouldn't want to be embarrassed by them just because I'd like to go out with her. I have been told on 2 different occassion by some ladies that they were hitting on me but I was acting like I did not care whereas I am actually terrible with signs .

What practical adivce can I get as regards getting a Gf . I would cherish the cherish the contribution of a female nairalander more
