The result showed that Orji won, until proven otherwise.

Orji does not have projects that he started. Someone posted a picture of Ochendo International Market that he commissioned on NL, the place was just a thick forest. How more dubious can a leadership be?

Aregbe's problem is stubborness and believing he is wiser than everybody, taht culminaed in bad planning. As well as execution of some stup1d and overblown projects. He has enough projects that he started, but yet to be completed.

Orji and Aregbe are not in the same class. Orji has a First Class in Bad Leadership and Governance, while Aregbe is still a 2nd class lower candidate in ad Leadership and Governance.
We should stop celebrating mediocrity. A bad leader is a bad leader, nothing like first class or second class bad leader. The likes of Orji and Aregbe have nothing to do in governance. I will never support bad leadership. If our country is sane, Orji and Aregbe should be made to account for all their deeds.

You cannot say it is the worst hit. There is no empirical evidence.

Osun State civil servants are the ones making noise most and holding their government accountable and responsible, does not make them the worst hit. It makes other states look like dummies, if they cannot fight for their entitlement.
On the spot report shows that. All the civil servants in osun have not being paid for 7 months unlike in other States where it varies from a month to 10 months. Osun own is mass effect. Moreover the civil servants didn't go on strike until after the general elections.

What is even the life expectancy of Nigeria? Less than 55. That is even for less stressful places.

He might be a failure, but not in the class of Orji that you voted to represent you in the senate after 8years of dancing skelewu in your government house Umuahia.
Orji was not voted for. Abia state indigenes voted massively for APGA. We should forget about sentiments, Orji and Aregbe are of the same class: bad leaders.
PoliticsRe: Abia State Is Owing Civil Servants 10months Salary by Destinyfavour(m): 3:13pm On Jun 13, 2015
It's the truth, Abia state government is owing about 10 months salary to staffs of Abia state university teaching hospital. Osun state own is getting more audience and broadcast because all the civil servants have not being paid. Even osun sister state, Oyo is owing civil servants the worst hit being LAUTECH teaching hospital Ogbomoso( the staffs have not being paid for 5 months).
Tribal and ethnic sentiments apart, Osun state is the worst hit of all the states owing workers.

it was illegal, but no need to make noise over position, there are more important thing
No illegality cos a forum was formed and PMB gave the clerk the written permission to inaugurate the house. APC knows the truth and they can't win the case in a court of law.

His people will not criticize him because they all knew he was doing the right thing unti this unfortunate incident. It also took them so long to embarked on strike because they understand him and he has never hide anything regarding the state budget from them.Take it or leave it Aregbe has done well if not for this unfortunate situation. Mind you my brother, his wife and some of my siblings are civil servant in the state of osun so never think I'm not involved because I know what they are all going through.
Its a lie from pit of hell. NLC didn't embark on strike because the house was divided. The civil servants have been humanized, hypnotize and fed with a lot of lies. Aregbe has no interest of workers at hand. He has being talking of dwindling allocation without mentioning the loan his government is servicing that contributed to it. What has he done with the security vote, the security vote can go along way to help if he has the interest of workers.

Its a pity state governors owe months of workers salary without remorse. The heavy weight right activists from south west are keeping quiet over this development in Osun and Oyo. National assembly should do something about this ugly situatuon. There is God ooo.
PoliticsUnpaid Salaries: NAP Asks Aregbesola To Resign by Destinyfavour(op): 5:22pm On Jun 11, 2015
The Deputy National Chairman of the Nigeria Advance Party in the South West, Mr. Tosin Odeyemi, has asked the Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, to resign for the inability of his administration to pay workers and pensioners for the past seven months.

Odeyemi said this in an interview with journalists  in Osogbo on Thursday in reaction to  the declaration by the governor that his administration had performed creditatably.
He said, ” The governor said he had performed well, but if this is the best he can deliver, then he should resign.

” Is this the change he promised the people?, everybody is suffering now, both Christians and Muslims and the governor is saying he had done well. He is insensitive to the plight of the people of the state.

“The governor, through his profligate spending,  has brought  shame and ridicule to the workers and the entire people of the state.  He has turned almost everybody to beggar in the state.

” Where is Laoye-Tomori (deputy governor) now?, it is so sad that workers have been turned to beggars. The Christian Association of Nigeria has now started soliciting food for workers.

” Is the governor not eating? Are his  children and wife starving like the workers?. Certainly not. The governor still goes with all the vehicles in his convoy, he has failed woefully. ”

But the governor has denied the allegation of wasteful spending levied against him, saying anti-corruption agencies had in the past commended his administration.

The governor reacted to the NAP’s allegation through his media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon.

He said, “If no one could accuse Aregbesola of wasteful spending in his four years of governance why now would anyone say he is wasteful. It is ironic that those making these allegations today applauded the very prudent manner he had managed the affairs of the state even with the very meagre resources at his disposal.

“Where has he been wasteful?. Is it in his implementation of the most applauded people oriented programmes such as OMEAL, OYES or care for the elderly and vulnerable, or in the massive provision of infrastructure across the state?.

“The accusation of insensitivity cannot be true, but for the revenue crisis, payments of salaries and allowances were major priorities of this government.

“We are aware that at periods like this, the head of any administration becomes easy target for pillory, but this is just a phase that will pass away. Source: punchnewsonline.

PoliticsKidnappers Of Ekiti Priest Demand 20 Million by Destinyfavour(op): 5:06pm On Jun 11, 2015
Kidnappers of a Catholic priest in Ekiti Diocese, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Akingbade, are demanding N20 million for his release. Akingbade, parish priest of St Benedict’s Catholic Church, Ido-Ekiti, was kidnapped by a three-man armed gang about 7:30pm at Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Tuesday. Catholic Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye, said the abductors also went away with the priest’s laptop computer, undisclosed amount of money and phones. The abducted priest, a lawyer, doubles as the Assistant Director, Justice, Development and Peace Initiative, JDPI, of the church in the diocese. In protest against the incessant kidnappings in the area, youths of Ido Ekiti and Usi Ekiti in Ido/Osi council area yesterday blocked the roads leading to the two communities. The youths, who said they wanted an end to the criminal act, appealed to Governor Ayodele Fayose to urgently ensure the release of the cleric and stamp out kidnapping in the state. The Catholic Bishop, however, said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Etop John James, had been informed about the development. Ajakaye said one of the abductors pointed a gun at the head of one of the occupants at the priest’s residence and ordered him to lead them to Fr. Akingbade’s room, where they abducted and took him to an unknown destination. The bishop, who described the incident as “very sad and devastating,” added: “They told the priest that some amount of money had been paid on his life except he could pay them N20 million. They asked him to put on any clothe he liked and drove him away. Since then, we have not been able to establish contact with him.” Police Public Relations Officer for Ekiti State Command, Mr Alberto Adeyemi, said the command was working hard to get the priest released. PoliticsCleric Advocates Scrapping Of Security Votes by Destinyfavour(op): 4:49pm On Jun 11, 2015
Emeritus Archbishop of Catholic Archdiocese of, Ibadan, Most Rev. Felix Alaba Job, has advocated the scrapping of security votes for governors and blockage of other sources through which states’ resources are being wasted.

The retired archbishop said this just as he blamed mismanagement of resources by state governors for their inability to pay workers in their states for months.
Job spoke in an interview with journalists at Oluponna in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State on Thursday.

He said, “What is security vote?, Security allowance which is not accounted for should be removed. You give money to somebody and the person does not have to give an account of how he spends it. It is absurd. It is a way of institutional icing of corruption.
Source: punch newsonline.
” If they must have security allowance, they should account for it. This is because there are times there are situations they have to respond to. But they must be made to account for the security votes if they must be given.”

The cleric said many governors spent state’s resources lavishly during the campaign for the last general elections adding that this was the reason for the financial crisis in such states.

He said, “I do not believe that there is any state that can’t pay salaries. Mismanagement caused it.

“During campaign they spent so much money, they should bring back the money they stacked abroad or collect the money back from who are holding them. If those with the money are no longer in government, they should be called back to return the money with them.

” I think the National Assembly should enact a law against something like this.
The finance minister made it public how much was given to each state. Any governor who refuses to pay workers after three months should be made to account for this. ”

Job, while congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari, said he believed the president would not let Nigerians down.

The cleric advised Nigerians to be patient with the new administration while calling on the people to also change, saying this was what was required now.

He said, ” It is not only in reducing the salaries of elected officers that can guarantee us good leadership. Clauses which militate against the progress of the people must be removed from our constitution.

“Paying of spouses of elected officials, especially wives of local government chairmen, wives of governors should be stopped. It is the practice in Nigeria that when a local government chairman is elected or even a governor the state’s resources are spent lavishly on their wives.

“Office of the First Lady is not in our constitution, that should be removed.
Also, lawmakers are paid salaries plus sitting allowances but they still collect constituency allowance, this is odd. This is a way of siphoning our resources and should be stopped.

“All these unapproved sources through which resources are being wasted should be blocked.”
PoliticsUnpaid Salaries: Oyo State by Destinyfavour(op): 12:14am On Jun 11, 2015
Staffs of LAUTECH teaching hospitals Ogbomoso Oyo state are passing through hard times because their salaries have not been paid for the past 5 months. The hospital community is on strike for a month now due to the issue. This has resulted to unavoidable deaths of patients in and around the state notably the death of a LAUTECH student two days ago. Hope the state government will do something before the situation deteriorates.
