Barcelona were embarassed 4-1 by Celta de Vigo in the Spanish La Liga.

Luis Enrique's men were down with three goals in the first half. The first time Barcelona trailed by 3 goals in La Liga since May 7, 2008 vs Real Madrid (L, 4-1).

Former Liverpool forward Iago Aspas scored a brace while former Barca player Nolito and John Guidetti found the back of the net to end the Catalans 100% winning start.

Nolito scored the first goal of the game in the 26th minute made him La Liga's second top scorer with four goals, one goal behind Cristiano Ronaldo.

Iago Aspas grabbed his brace 10 minutes after half time, as the Barcelona defence failed to learn from their mistakes as they let the 28-year-old run from his own half to slot past Ter Stegen in net.

Neymar's 80 minute strike was not enough to stop John Guidetti from making it four as he smashed home from close-range to complete the embarassing moment for Barca.

Chelsea striker Diego Cost has been handed a three-game ban for violent conduct following an incident in Saturday's match against Arsenal.

While Diego Costa was banned, Gabriel Paulista's red card was revoked by the Football Association.

According to ESPN, Chelsea have appealed against the charge, with the game against Walsall in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.

An FA statement read:
"An FA charge against Diego Costa for violent conduct not seen by the match officials but caught on video has been found proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.

"The Chelsea forward will, therefore, serve the standard penalty of a three-match suspension with immediate effect.

"The charge, which the player denied, was in relation to an incident involving Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny in the 43rd minute of the game on Saturday [19 September 2015]."

Chelsea Doctor Eva Carneiro has left the the London club after criticism from manager Jose Mourinho six weeks ago.

According to reports, Carneiro had not appeared at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground ever since the public fallout from the events of the opening game of the season, in which she was publicly criticized by Jose Mourinho for simply doing her job.

Jose Mourinho was angry with Eva Carneiro and head physiotherapist Jon Fearn for entering the field of play during the 2-2 draw against Swansea City to treat Eden Hazard, which left the Blues with nine-men.

Football Association board member Heather Rabbatts has expressed her sadness at the news.

"News of Dr. Eva Carneiro's departure from Chelsea FC makes me feel sadness and anger,'' said Rabbatts, who is chair of the FA's inclusion advisory board.

"Eva was one of the few very senior women in the game, a highly respected doctor who has acted with professional integrity in difficult circumstances and whose skills have been highly praised by her colleagues, the club and governing bodies.''

Carneiro is a 42-year-old sports medicine specialist and was born in Gibraltar
She studied medicine at Nottingham University and and completed her MSc in Sport and Exercise at Queen Mary University of London.

She previously worked at the British Olympic Medical Institute, with England Women's Football and UK Athletics, before joining Chelsea in 2009.

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke will have an MRI scan on his injured hamstring on Tuesday.

Benteke was substituted at half-time during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Norwich and will miss tomorrow’s Capital One Cup tie with League Two Carlisle United.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers played down injury claims, insisting the decision was precautionary.

"His hamstring felt a little bit tight, so we didn't want to take a risk," Rodgers said.

Liverpool assistant manager Gary McAllister latter confirmed in a press conference on Tuesday that Benteke will undergo a scan on his thigh.

"Christian is going to have an MRI scan today and hopefully we'll find the problem. He's got a little problem in his hamstring," McAllister said.

McAllister who was part of the Liverpool squad that won the League cup in 2001 stressed the players have to cope under pressure after series of poor results.

“A couple of poor results and the heat is on and you are under the microscope, but the players have to thrive on that and cope with that pressure.

“Carlisle are not going to come and roll over. There is going to be a battle that needs to be won.

“They had a really good result at QPR (in the previous round) and are scoring goals in their division, too. It will be tough. The attitude has to be spot on.”

The Belgium international has scored two Premier League goals in six starts for Liverpool since his summer move from Aston Villa.

Arsenal defender Gabriel and Chelsea's Diego Costa have been charged by the Football Association.

The FA have charged Chelsea striker Diego Costa with violent conduct and Arsenal's Gabriel with improper conduct, it has been confirmed.

Both clubs have also been charged with failing to control their players during Saturday's Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal have confirmed they will appeal against the red card shown to Gabriel during the game.

An FA statement said:
"Diego Costa has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

Gallagher: Costa lucky to void red Dermot Gallagher was on Sky Sports News to reflect on events at Stamford Bridge.

"The Chelsea forward was involved in an incident with Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny in the 43rd minute of the game. He has until 6pm tomorrow [September 22] to reply.

"Off the ball incidents which are not seen at the time by the match officials are referred to a panel of three former elite referees.

"Each referee panel member will review the video footage independently of one another to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence. For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision by the panel must be unanimous.

Saturday wasn't the first clash between the pair who clashed in Spain.

"Arsenal defender Gabriel has been charged with improper conduct for his behaviour following his dismissal, whilst team-mate Santi Cazorla has been warned for his behaviour following his sending off.

"Finally, both clubs have been charged for failing to control their players under FA Rule E20.

"Both clubs and Gabriel have until 6pm on Thursday [September 24] to reply."

AC Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic admits his side needs balance.

The Rossoneri are currently in a defence problem with Juraj Kucka and Andrea Bertolacci injured.

Ahead of tommorow's game againts Udinese, the manager started that the team are in a bit of emergency.

“We’re in a bit of an emergency,” Mihajlovic said in an interview with Milan Channel.

“Tomorrow we won’t even have Kucka. I’m still optimistic though, 11 players will play, and we’ll make changes. Let’s see who will play tomorrow.

“I still have some doubts, I’ll decide tomorrow.

“Kucka? I congratulated him after the game [against Palermo on Saturday]. At the break he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to go back out, but I told him that if we took him off we wouldn’t have won the game and he decided to stay on the pitch.”

The Serbian also praised their tommorow's opponent, saying he have great respect for them.

“I have great respect for them. They’re a team in crisis, but they have players who can change the game at any moment.

“They have quality players like [Duvan] Zapata, [Cyril] Thereau and [Antonio] Di Natale. They have a hardworking midfield. It won’t be easy.

“We have to try and play our game as Milan. We have to try not to concede a goal. It’s right to be attacking, but we can’t sacrifice balance.”

Milan are currently placed 10th with six points in the Serie A standings.

Chelsea striker Diego Cost says he will continue to work hard every day to improve his team.

The former Athletico Madrid man wants to help the Blues win matches.

“It’s always important for a striker to score goals, but my main aim is to help the team win matches, that is what matters most of all,” Costa reportedly said.

“I always try to improve my game as much as possible in order to benefit the team, and I will continue to work hard every day.”

Diego Costa was at the centre of controversy as Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 during the weekend which Gunners defender Gabriel Paulista was sent off during the encounter.

Anthony Martial's dream Premier League start continued as the £36m striker scored twice to lift Manchester United to second with a win at Southampton.

United started poorly and went behind when Graziano Pelle converted a loose ball after David De Gea's fine save.

But Martial equalised with United's first shot on target and then took advantage of a terrible Maya Yoshida backpass to slot in a second.

Juan Mata added a third and while Pelle headed a late second, United held on.
Louis van Gaal's side were given a torrid time by the Saints in the opening half an hour but were once again clinical in front of goal.

United scored with all three of their shots on target against Liverpool last weekend and repeated the trick at St Mary's as Southampton - who have now won just two of their last 12 league games - slipped to defeat.

Lethal Martial gets United out of trouble
Wayne Rooney's poor start to the season as the leading man in United's attack led to a first league start for £36m signing Martial.

Rooney - with no goals or assists in the Premier League - started behind Martial and produced a laboured and largely anonymous display.

He - and Martial - had barely seen the ball in the final third as Southampton started superbly, before the Frenchman put United level.

Mata was offside in the build-up but Martial - who scored on his debut against Liverpool last week- again showed composure to turn Virgil Van Dijk and fire home.

Martial then became the third player to score on his first two Premier League appearances for United, after Louis Saha in 2004 and Federico Macheda in 2009, when he was played clean through on goal by Yoshida's blind backpass.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed Gonzalez Raul to become Real Madrid's La Liga goal-scorer with 230 La Liga goals.

The 30-year-old forward netted a hat-trick within 20 minutes in the first half and later added two in the second half of of Saturday’s match against Espanyol.

Cristiano passed legendary Alfredo Di Stefano’s 227 La Liga goals and also equalled Gonzalez Raul's 238 goals in the first half of the game.

His first goal came from a long ball assist from Luka Modric before his second was fired home from the penalty spot.

The Portuguese latter completed the hat-trick with a poacher’s finish from Gareth Bale's cross.

The former Manchester United forward assisted Karim Benzema in the 28th minute to make it four.

And in the second-half, Ronaldo was again set up by Bale after a great counter attack to tap home and take the record.

An Assist from Lucas Vázquez in the 81st made saw Cristiano Ronaldo notch his fifth goal of the game to hand Madrid a 6-0 victory over Espanyol.

It took Gozalez Raul 550 games to score 228 goals while Ronaldo achieved the feat in just 203 appearances.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard admits that its difficult to play as champion.

The reigning English champions Chelsea are currently placed 13th in the EPL table. They lost 2 games, 1 draw and a win, conceeding nine goals so far.

The Belgian insist every club wants to beat Chelsea.
“It’s difficult to play as a champion because everyone wants to beat you, everyone wants to kill you,” the 24-year-old forward told HypeBeast.

“We wear the gold badge and it’s very good. We had a fantastic season last season. If we could do the same this season we’d be good.”

Eden Hazard who was named as the PFA Player of the Year last season added that he learns everyday and wants to be the champion always.

“Everyday I learn. In training, in the game. It’s good playing big games, if you play against a big player you can learn a lot,” he added.

“Every day I try to reach a better level. This is my job, every day I try to score. Every game I try to score.

“I just want to be champion. I just want to be a champion and win everything like I did last season.”

Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat to rival Arsenal in the Community Shield as the Gunners we crowned champions.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's 24th minute strike made the difference.

The Blues manager Jose Mourinho insist that his side were better than their counterpart despite the loss.

Speaking to BT Sport, Mourinho said:
"We were the best team. We had more initiative, we controlled the game by having ball possession.

"But when a team is behind, the energy and intensity to turn results around is more difficult because people are not sharp.

"Arsenal defended with 10 players, they put everybody in front of their own line and they had good organisation -- congratulations to them.

"They had a couple of chances in counter attacks, but we had ours in organised football."

The 54-year-old Portuguese also admitted that winning the Premier League title again would be very difficult.

“I see the Premier League title as very difficult - for everyone,” Mourinho said.

"The way other teams are spending, they have big power in the hands while we are the same as last season. And with that we are going to try," he concluded.
