Robert Gordon university, Scotland, has stripped presidential candidate Donald Trump of his honorary degree after he called for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S.

Mr Trump, who is currently running for the Republican post, was awarded a Doctorate of Business Administration from Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen in October 2010.

He has since sparked outrage across the world demanding a 'total and complete shutdown' on Muslim immigration to America.

Read Mr Trump's statement;

I'm calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on'.
'Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.
I think that we should definitely disallow any Muslims from coming in. Any of them. The reason is simple: we can't identify what their attitude is.

So this evening, a spokesman for Robert Gordon University confirmed that Mr Trump's honorary degree has now been revoked, saying that his views on Islam are 'wholly incompatible' with their ethos and values.

The university's statement said:

In 2010 Robert Gordon University awarded an honorary DBA to Mr Donald Trump, in recognition of his achievements as an entrepreneur and businessman.
'In the course of the current US election campaign, Mr Trump has made a number of statements that are wholly incompatible with the ethos and values of the university.
The university has therefore decided to revoke its award of the honorary degree.

We all know this ain't gonna bother Mr Trump! A man whose real time worth is about $4.5 Billion. He's got 99 problems, one university certificate is definitely not one of them.
