Guys, I initially booked for appointments without AL ... Category A for masters. Now, yesterday I got AL for B.Sc starting August 31st.
If at last, I don't get AL for masters, Can I still go for interview with my B.Sc AL considering the fact i registered for mastershuh
I have not gotten a date yet though

Please answer me....
Hmmm... This is a bit tricky.
Have you gotten an interview date for category A masters?
If you haven't gotten a date AND you are not expecting any other masters AL, I'll advise you cancel the booking and book for bachelors accordingly.

thanks for your kind responses guys, how long could it take to learn up to B1, i am also now considering picking a course related to nursing because of language barrier, please any suggestion in that regard? as im eyeing sept enrollment intake.
@bolded 1, at Goethe Institut, you'll spend 3 months per level. So, from A1, A2 to end of B1 will take you 9 months.

@bolded 2, for bachelors admission, you'll need either HND, completed 100L transcripts of a university program or a completed Bachelors degree to apply. You said you have a nursing diploma. I'll strongly advise you mail the course coordinator of any course you desire to apply to.
Find courses at DAAD.de, you can also Google out the list of universities in Germany and open their website one after the other to check for their available bachelors courses. On those links, you'll see the mail address of the course coordinator. So you can send them a mail to confirm your eligibility.

@bolded3, other guys on the thread will give more input

Thanks a lot..will open block account right away..

I have seen many people here opting out of BA for SL and my question is, do you need to fund your block account before booking appointment for block account? like you mentioned Fintiba and Coracle, do I still need to book appointment with german embassy after creating the account/funded?
Bro, forget about funding until you have your AL and appointment date.
If you don't have money for BA, then you can opt for the SL.

This your question funny small grin how will you fund blocked account before booking appointment for opening blocked account?

I said it in my previous response, you don't need to go to embassy for fintiba or coracle. Just download the fintiba app from playstore and complete everything online

Good evening GREAT GURUS in the room.

I did my certification today at the German Embassy and will sending my certified copies to Uni Assist and to University of Duisburg-Essen.

I also saw block account fee and appointment as well, Am I suppose to open block account and also book appointment for block account now or wait till AL drops? The fee is #8400.

My Uni Assist application is showing incomplete application because of certified hard copies that I am yet to send them although I got a mail from them requesting that I should forward it to them. I hope they will continue processing my application once they have my hard copies?

Finally if anyone is in Lagos sending his application to Uni Assist lets share the cost using DHL and I want to know other cheap courier that will take 3 working days to get to Uni Assist.

Thanks for your assist so far family!
@bolded 1, what course are you applying to at University of duisburg-essen?

@bolded 2, don't stress yourself with opening blocked account with deutsche Bank. There are more convenient options like Fintiba and Coracle. Go to playstore and download fintiba app. Register for a blocked account with fintiba basic. Upload all required information and documents. It's not compulsory to wait till AL comes before you open the account, but you should wait till your interview is assured, maybe 2-3 weeks before the interview, then you fund the account. The basic amount is €8640, with other charges, just prepare for about €8900 on the max.

@bolded 3 uni-assist will start your processing when they receive both payment and documents. So if you've paid before, immediately your documents get there, processing starts. Its possible you don't see a reflection on your portal, but just chill, they'll work on it.

@bolded 4 FedEx, Ups, aramex(not sure of the spelling now) offer lower prices and same time of delivery with DHL. Look out for the nearest shop to you.

Good day guys, im a newbie, and am quite confused with this whole german admission and visa, Please what is AL? and must one have it in other to gain admission and visa grant? i am also looking to apply for a bachelor of nursing as i already have a diploma of nursing, please can anyone help with a nursing sch/uni where English is the medium of communication.
your responses are well appreciated
That's like searching for a white rhinoceros.

Advices have been given
1. Learn German up to B2 level. Then apply for studienkolleg, and read read cos they say its kinda hard. Their medical courses there are solely taught in German. You'd be interacting with patients who don't speak English at all.. So how are you gonna treat them if you don't understand what they say?
2. If you insist on English taught nursing program, look towards USA and Canada. I think I've mentioned that to you before.

Incase you want more details on studying in Germany as you said you're a newbie, start reading the thread from page 1. You'll find a plethora of answered questions.

hello guys, my BP don rise since i received appointment date from embassy oo. i booked without getting AL and now they have given me date in june while am expecting AL in end of june or early july. though there is a cancellation link but my fear is, will i be able to book again? pls what do i do.
You can still cancel and book again. So far u do it at least 1 week to the appointment
If you cancel on any date that is not at least 1 week from your interview date, then the 6-month no date statement will apply to you.
The same statement was on the appointment letter of the old booking system
I had initially booked for May 20, but I had to cancel on may 13, when there was no AL yet.

HSHL sent AL on may 21.

And I have a new date for July 17

Good morning ALL
Pls is Beginning of your study visit on the booking same as the enrolment deadline?
How about cases where enrolment is done from Nigeria after given a short time (2 weeks) to enrol without your presence.
Is the Beginning of your study visit your semester (lecture) commencement date or can someone shed more on this

I want to book and still awaiting AL from Leibniz University of Hannover and TU Berlin. Though I have got a conditional AL from Karlsruhe

I need these dates from anyone that have AL or studying in these schools
If you've done your enrolment from Nigeria, then you can fill in as your date of commencement of studies the first day of the month you're to start lectures. But for admissions that you need to enrol in person, check the admission letter, there will be a time range for the enrollment. Put the earliest possible date as the date of commencement of studies.

Ist das klar?

Anyone knows the exact visa application fee in naira and are we paying in cash? dont say its a stupid question pls cos it sounds ridiculous to me
Visa fee ranges between 29,500 to 30,500
Depending on exchange rate that day.
Just hold 35k with you. Ensure you hold some #500 notes. The fee is to be paid in cash with 1000 or 500 naira notes.

Guten Morgen leutes
I got a pic of the document showing the minimum financial requirements for someone who will stand as a sponsor for the German declaration of sponsorship. Though it's written in German but I was able to translate to English with Google translate.

Please note that the document was obtained in Munich probably in 2017 and it is likely there might have been a slight upward review, but it can still guide us to knowing what would be expected from our sponsors.

Find attached.

Thanks for your responses. But did you send any documents to them through email or by post? And did you fill two separate application form for the program?.
Right now, the application has 2 phases : online and offline.
For online, follow the course website to the school portal. Register and start filling in your details on the portal. When you are done with the filling, submit, print out the completed form and sign it.
That's part 1

Next, go back to the course website and download the offline application form. Open it on your system and start filing the details. Print it out directly like that because it's not a document you can save and continue later. So prepare all you need to type.
After printing, staple your passport to the space on the form requesting for it.
That's part 2.
Next, get an empty CD, put it in a system and copy your bachelors project to it. Use a marker to write your name on the CD.

When these are done, send all of them via postmail (including your certified or uncertified copies)

Initially, I missed part 1, so when my documents got there, I was mailed to register online and send the completed application form to them via email.

Guys, please I if any school should offers you admission and it happens that you are no longer interested or you've got a better offer from another school. what you should do is to quickly write to them to decline and ask them to give your slot to another Nigerian applicant.

This is very important please.....

Holding on to a study place which you Don really need while other people who need it are being rejected is evil and wicked.
I quite agree with most of what you've said. A benefit of having multiple admissions is the privilege of checking out for the one that suits one most, based on personal wants. And it is expedient to reject other offers so that people who are also qualified can be admitted, especially for courses that are restricted by numerus clausus (NC)

As regards the bolded, what if the next person qualified for the admission space isn't a Nigerian? We can only advise the admissions committee though, but I'm sure the advise won't count as they will offer the space to the next qualified candidate, Nigerian or not.
So I think the best way to put the message will be to decline the offer and request that the next qualified candidate be offered the space. In that way, we're being fair to all smiley

From their website it states that simple copies are okay for sending rather than certified copies.so please I want to confirm whether doing your discussion with the course coordinator otherwise is needed.
I discussed about certification with the course coordinator and she made me understand that I can choose to certify my documents or not. It will be accepted for application. BUT, If upon resumption, I tender any document that does not align with the uncertified copies I submitted during application, my admission will be withdrawn with immediate effect.
Check the attached pictures. She also talked about proof of English proficiency. I didn't submit any proof, just as she said.

For FAU, I'll highly recommend that you certify at the embassy. To avoid stories that touch. If embassy is too far from you , use Notary
