Just a few days ago,the Lagos state government put a ban on the activities of commercial motorcycle operators,popularly call 'Okada riders'in about six Local government areas and some bridges in the state,due the security threat that they(the operators) constitute in those environment.
However,there was and there is still mix reactions by Lagos residents in support and against this directive by the Lagos government.
Now,my take on this is that,Lagos state government is not the first to toll this line neither will it be the last of baning OKADA,it is even rediculous to know that just a year or two ago,the Anambra state governor,Willy Obiano,took the same measure and there was no any up roar from any quarters.As a matter of fact,No one complain about the plight of the poor Okada riders or appeal to the Anambra governor to provide these people an alternative means of livelihood just because most of them (the Okada riders)are from the North.
So,it will now be hypocritical for people to now be complaining of what

Ore,reminds the Igbos the bitter lesson they learnt from the old Ondo state,which comprises Ekiti and Ondo states.The cowards in Ore,come to think of it,were mainly street urchins who were never trained in the act of conventional warfare,put a stop to a well trained artery brigade that was led by Ojukwu!
This happened after the Mid-West,was easily over ran by the Biafra army.It was the greatest act of cowardise displayed by the Ondo people and by extension the Yorubas.
Each time the people of the South East are travelling and their vehicles pass through ORE!it always bring back sad memory of the defeat of their so called Ogbonigwe Biafra army by a fraction of the Yorubas with a make shift mob,without weapons except local pistles and charms.
Ojukwu was so angry about the humiliation suffered by his CHEST BEATING ARMY,that he took his anger on Victor Banjo and one dude,because of his larger than life ego that beclouded his reasoning andnever mind all the efforts they have put into the war for him.

Now that the dust has some how seems to be settled as regards the legality of the establishment of the South West Security Network,code named,operation Amotekun,the gorvernors should as a matter of urgency send an executive bill to the state houses of assembly in order for the bill to become law and for the governors to sign this into law.
That is the first phase,the second phase is that in order to reassure the Northerners residing and doing business in the region,especially the Hausa-Fulani community that execise is by no way targeted at them,i think some of them who are well known to their host community,especially the HAUSAS,should be recruited into the Amotekun security outfit.This is because there are hardly any security threat by the HAUSAS in the SW.
I want to believe that if this is done,it would go a long way to allay the fear of the Northern political establishment who mist construe the intentions of the conveners of this noble initiative.
