When the federal government under the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari,in August or so,ordered the partial closure of the Nigerian borders in order to prevent the importation of rice and other agricultural produce,which the country has the comparative advantage to produce in abudance due to the climate.It was the Igbos though do not have any proximity to any of the borders who kicked against this laudable policy of the federal government just because they will not be the major benefit this time.

That whatever the Idi developershave comparative advantage either in producing or as a natural endowment as far as the local economy is concerned,no matter how inferior they maybe compare to foreigh owned,they will never think for once or indulge in importing such products or resources,BECAUSE ITS TO THEIR INTEREST.
Meanwhile,if the endowment or natural resource or know how are located in other regions other than theirs,they would go all out in order to find an import-substitute for such endowment,unless they are forced by the government through import duty,despite this they will still smuggle in contraban into the country.
For instance,Idi developers will never think of importing such items;shoes,belts,hand bags etc from China even though these are far cheaper and more durable compare to what are obtainable in ARARIA market in Aba in Abia state,because of their interest in protecting their local industry but if this has been somewhere in the South West,your guest is good as mine.
