Religion / Liberty To The Captives by Devotionals: 9:44am On Mar 03, 2020

Liberty to the Captives

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me…to proclaim liberty to the captives and…to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
Luke 4:18, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

If we’re not careful to develop a freedom mindset, having a bondage mindset will become normal to us. We’ll accept that it’s normal to be hot-tempered, it’s normal to live depressed and negative, it’s normal to struggle and not get any good breaks, it’s normal to have bad relationships. That’s not normal. That’s a chain that restricts your movement, that limits your ability. You are made in the image of Almighty God. Have seeds of greatness. You were created to be free, to be happy, to accomplish dreams—not to get by in life, but to excel. Don’t let a chain that binds you become normal.

Jesus came announcing freedom, announcing that the chains that are restricting you are being broken. Now it’s up to you to receive it. The chain breaker, the Most High God is working in your life right now. Your day of freedom has come. Get ready for favor in new ways. Start living from a freedom mindset.

READ Sermon: Joel Osteen - "Blessed Indeed"
PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You that You are the Most High God, the chain breaker, who is releasing me into increase, into favor, and into new levels. Thank You that what has hindered me in the past is not going to hinder me anymore. I believe my chains have been broken. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Religion / God Is The Perfect Father by Devotionals: 7:17am On Mar 03, 2020

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:11 NKJV)

Religion portrays God as a harsh judge when, in fact, He is a loving Father who knows how to—and wants to—give good things to His children.

Perhaps you did not have a father when you were growing up, or maybe the one you had behaved in a way that gave you a distorted view of God. When you allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the heart of love God has just for you, then you can enjoy your walk with Him as you fulfill all of the wonderful plans He has for your life. Here’s what you can expect:

Your Father is for you. He will be with you every step of the way.
Your Father’s motive is always love. When you think He is spoiling your fun, He is actually protecting you from something that will harm you.
Your Father wants you to succeed at all you set your hand to do. He will show you how to be successful; He will encourage you to keep going and never quit.
Your Father will pick you up if you fail. He will bind your wounds and set you on your feet again.
Your Father wants the absolute best for you in all you do. He doesn’t want you to settle for less that you can have.
Your Father delights when you come to talk to Him. He loves to share His wisdom and counsel, and to show you the way to go.

Religion / Never Forget His Benefits by Devotionals: 12:18pm On Feb 29, 2020

Never Forget His Benefits

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.
Psalm 103:2–4, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

When you look back over your life, consider some of the things you’ve faced that at the time, you didn’t think you could make it through. The obstacle was so large, the breakup hurt you so badly, the medical report was so negative. You didn’t see a way, but God turned it around. He gave you strength to go on. That wasn’t a coincidence. It was the hand of God.

Those challenges not only prepared you for your future, they’ve also given you a history with God. When you’re in a tough time, remember how God turned your health around or how He brought you out of trouble. When you remember how God has protected you, promoted you, healed you, and restored you, faith will rise in your heart. Instead of thinking, I’ll never get out of this problem, you’ll say with confidence, “God made a way for me in the past. He’s going to make a way in the future.”

BE NOT DECEIVED

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:7

Recommended Reading: Daniel 5:1-9

One doesn’t have to look far in modern media to find examples of God, and especially Jesus Christ, being made light of; in some cases, mocked. While some would say, “It’s all in good fun; no harm, no foul,” is that a risk worth taking? God does not seem to take mocking lightly. As the writer to the Hebrews wrote, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31).

King Belshazzar, the successor to Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon, learned that the hard way. At a drunken feast, he mocked God by having the sacred vessels from the temple in Jerusalem, which Nebuchadnezzar had confiscated decades earlier, brought into the feast to be used in profane ways. But in the midst of their mockery of God, a heavenly hand appeared and wrote words of judgment on the wall. The words prophesied the end of Babylon, a destiny that occurred that very night when Babylon was invaded by the Medes and Belshazzar was slain (Daniel 5:30-31).

There is a universal principle at work in human affairs: “God is not mocked” are words to live by, today and always, for we will reap what we sow.

God is not deceived by externals.

Religion / Commandments Lead To Happiness by Devotionals: 7:00am On Feb 27, 2020

Commandments Lead To Happiness

Matthew 5:32, ‘But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, save for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.’

MATTHEW 5:31-32
God’s commandments are not intended to make us miserable–they’re meant for our own happiness. Satan’s lie in the Garden of Eden caused Eve to question God’s motives behind His command (Genesis 3:5).

Malachi 2:15 says God hates divorce. God doesn’t hate the people who divorce. He hates the act of divorce because of the damage it does to people. God loves people.

Today, people see divorce as an easy way out of marital problems. But this is based on the misconception that the mate is the problem–which is rarely the case.

People who blame their mate for their problems give in easily to divorce, thinking that a new partner will solve the situation. Yet second marriages have over twice the failure rate of first marriages. That’s because we take ourselves and all our unresolved problems into the next marriage.

You can’t control other people–not even your mate. But through obeying the Lord, you can control yourself and have fulness of joy. God’s commands tell us what will produce true happiness for us.

Religion / His Extravagant Love by Devotionals: 10:57am On Feb 26, 2020

His Extravagant Love

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

Deuteronomy 28:2

Some people have very low expectations of what God will provide for them materially. They trust Him to feed and clothe them, but they don’t trust Him to feed and clothe them very well!

Somehow they’ve gotten the idea that God’s an old miser who will do little more than put rags on their backs and beans on their tables. But that’s not what Jesus told us. He said in Matthew 6 that God would clothe us better than He clothed Solomon. That one statement alone proves that God wants to do more than just meet our basic needs. He wants to bless us abundantly. I know that from personal experience.

A few years ago I came home and found two expensive automobiles parked in my driveway. They’d been given to me to use by men who’d been blessed by the Lord through my ministry.

I was baffled. “Lord,” I said, “I didn’t need these cars. I hadn’t asked You for them, and I wasn’t believing for them. What are they doing here?”

Then the Lord spoke up on the inside of me. Have you ever read the scripture in Deuteronomy that says blessings shall come on and overtake those who hearken to My voice?

“Yes,” I answered.

Well, son, He said, you’ve just been overtaken.

Am I saying God gave me those expensive cars just so I could enjoy them? Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying.

First Timothy 6:17 says, “[He] giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” God is a loving Father. He gets great pleasure from blessing His children. He’s extravagant where we’re concerned. But don’t let that worry you. He can afford it.

Once you truly believe that and begin to hearken to His voice, it won’t be long before His blessings will be overtaking you.

POWER ADDICTION

How great are his signs, how powerful his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, his rule through all generations.
Daniel 4:3, NLT

Recommended Reading: 2 Thessalonians 1:9-11

Some presidents and politicians—and some of us—suffer a craving addiction for power. King Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful man on earth, dreamed of greater power. He said, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power?” (Daniel 4:30)

But he met his match in the God of Daniel. When the Hebrew youths were thrown into the fiery furnace, “the fire had no power” (Daniel 3:27). When Daniel was tossed into the lion’s den, God delivered him “from the power of the lions” (Daniel 6:27).

Daniel said, “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his” (Daniel 2:20, NIV).

We face many problems as we press onward toward heaven, and we have a powerful enemy who tries to block us at every point. But we have the powerful grace of God around us, the powerful hand of God upon us, the powerful presence of Jesus with us, and the powerful promises of God beneath us. To Him belongs all power, might, glory, and honor!

In and through every outward thing, look only to the power of His Spirit, and the merits of His Son.

Religion / The Best Sinner!! by Devotionals: 7:24am On Feb 25, 2020

The Best Sinner

Matthew 5:20, ‘For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.’

MATTHEW 5:17-22
What did Jesus mean? Since the Pharisees fasted twice each week, does this mean we have to fast three times each week? Since they paid tithes on everything including spices, does this mean that anyone who fails to tithe is doomed to hell?

No! Definitely not. The Pharisees’ righteousness was based on their actions. Jesus is advocating a righteousness that is based on faith in what He did for us.

Trusting in our own actions will never grant us access to God. We may be better than others, but who wants to be the best sinner that ever went to hell? We have all sinned and come short of perfection which is what God requires (Rom. 3:23).

The only one who was ever good enough to earn right standing with God is Jesus. And His righteousness is offered as a gift to anyone who will put their faith in Him as their Savior.

Jesus offers us a righteousness by faith that is so far superior to the self righteousness that the Pharisees had that there is no comparison. This is the righteousness that we need and which is available to us only through faith in Christ.

GET REVELATION

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:15-16 NKJV)

The apostle Paul knew firsthand the importance of revelation knowledge from the Lord, which is why is why he placed such importance on it in his letter to the church at Ephesus. When God reveals to you a truth from His Word, that revelation always causes you to become positive.

Revelation knowledge of the Word of God determines how you react to the situations you are currently facing. For instance, do you really believe that …

You are special to God?
God’s most prized possession?
Washed by the blood of Jesus from every sin, weakness, and failure?
You are holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight?
Crowned with glory and honor?
Have authority over every circumstance in your life?
God wants to turn every adversity into a victory?
Turn every stumbling block into a steppingstone?
God wants to give you good things?

If you don’t have a revelation of a particular Bible truth, then you can’t walk in it. Mental assent to truth is not enough. Without revelation knowledge, you will always live way below your privileges in Christ.

Jerry Savelle Devotional this February says Knowledge comes with reading the word of God

Revelation knowledge comes through reading and meditating on the Word of God, and then choosing to believe that what God says is true. Once you have revelation of how special you are to God, you will be able to walk in every good thing He has for you.

Confession: As I read and meditate on the promises of God found in His Word, the spirit of wisdom and revelation will open my eyes to receive all of the good things God has in store for me.

Religion / A Flourishing Finish by Devotionals: 9:49am On Feb 24, 2020

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

…There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
Philippians 1:6, MSG

TODAY’S WORD:

How you start is not important. Don’t let what you think is a disadvantage or a bad break cause you to say, “If I’d had a better childhood, if I had more support, if I didn’t have this dysfunction, I could do something great.” That’s where you started, but that’s not where you’re going to finish. The beginning doesn’t determine your destiny.

The apostle Paul did not say that God will bring you “to a defeated finish,” “an unfair finish,” “a lonely finish,” or a “bankrupt finish.” God has a victorious finish, an abundant finish, “a flourishing finish.” When those thoughts tell you, “It’s never going to work out. You have too many disadvantages,” let those lies go in one ear and out the other. God has established the end, and He loves to take people who start with the odds against them and shine down His favor, give them breaks, increase them, and cause them to do extraordinary things.

"God has a unique way of incubating us in cramped spaces to prepare us for greatness in our lives. Like the ark, God places us in cocoons for safety and growth. Although it may feel like a prison now, the cocoon is the promise! We must be careful not to abort our blessings because of our impatience. We must realize what is being birthed will cause movement yet stability in our lives. Religion / Sermon: Walk By Faith – Bishop TD Jakes by Devotionals: 10:06am On Feb 22, 2020

Walk By Faith

Bishop TD Jakes taught about faith in this sermon titled "Walk by faith" which is based on the story of Mary, and Martha alongside the resurrection of their brother, Lazarus. The bible said Lazarus was ill and later died from the illness and while all these was happening, Jesus never came until he was already dead and buried.

According to the book of John chapter 11 of the New International Version (NIV) "Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.) 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”

Verse 17 says: "On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days."

Jesus Raises Lazarus From The Dead (Bishop TD Jakes Sermon Today)

41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

All Things

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

If you’re fighting everything you don’t like, you need to have this new perspective: it’s all good. Whether it’s a grouchy boss, an illness you’re dealing with, or a dream that’s taking forever to be fulfilled, you can say, “I don’t like how this has gone, but God is on the throne. He promised that He would use what has come against me to my advantage.” All things work together for your good. They may not be good at the time we go through them. It’s painful to go through a loss. It hurts when people do us wrong. It’s discouraging when a dream doesn’t work out. By themselves, they may not be good, but the problem is that you’re isolating these single events. God promises He’s going to bring it all together. What looked like a setback was a setup for God to show out in your life. One day you’ll look back and say that it was all good.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for Your unconditional love for me. Thank You for Your promise that You make all things work together for my good, even what doesn’t seem good at the time. I believe that You can even turn what looks like setbacks into setups. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

SICKNESS AND DISEASE IS PART OF THE CURSE

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13).

Sickness and disease were never part of God’s plan for mankind. When He created the garden and placed Adam in it, life was perfect just as God planned it to be; there was no sickness or disease. But because Adam sinned and opened the door to the devil, mankind was subjugated to all that was part of the curse.

Until, that is, Jesus broke the power of the curse when He died on the Cross and rose again, destroying all the power of the devil. This is good news, because sickness and disease no longer have a right to be in your body.

Just as sickness and disease had no right to come on Jesus’ physical body when He walked on the earth, so it has no right to come on your body today. However, the devil will attempt to bring the curse upon your life and he will push you as far as you will allow him to. He will stay as long as you let him.

The devil will not leave you voluntarily—you must evict him from your life! It will be necessary that you tenaciously voice your rights as a child of God, enforce God’s Word against him, and use your faith and the authority Jesus has given you to cast the devil out. Then, speak to that sickness and disease and command it in the name of Jesus to leave.

Jesus paid the price for you to live in freedom from sickness and disease. So stand firm, speak God’s Word, and enjoy the fullness of your redemption from the curse.

Confession: Because Jesus Christ has redeemed me from the curse, I have been set free from all sickness and disease. I am full of the life and power of God.

Have a Clean Heart

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

For I acknowledge my transgressions…Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts…
Psalm 51:3, 6, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:

Psalm 51 is a prayer of repentance in which David acknowledged a sin he had covered up. His first step was to accept responsibility. You can’t overcome what you don’t confront—a hidden addiction, a failure, a hurt. When you hide things, it’s going to eat away at you like a poison. David went on to say that God requires truth in our inner parts. You can’t pretend and have God’s blessing at the same time.

If you’re covering things up, it’s not going to magically go away. When you come to God and ask for His forgiveness and mercy, He’ll begin to restore and put you back on the path to your destiny. David says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Restore to me the joy of my salvation.” He got it out in the open and asked for forgiveness—that was the turning point. God forgave and restored him, and David went on to do great things.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and great compassion that blots out the stain of my sins. Thank You that I can come to You for forgiveness and mercy and truth in my heart. I ask for a clean heart and to walk in the joy of my salvation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

“All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.” – Jim Rohn

We’re called to go where God’s mission leads; therefore, let us walk courageously as man is limited by the impossible, but through God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

When we don’t confess what we need, do we realize that we’re withholding our blessings?

How many of you realize that God is our healer, our protector, and our guide?

When we focus only on obstacles within our view, we neglect the awesome glory that lies in front of us! Acknowledge Him in all ways, and the path before you will be set straight (Proverbs 3:6).

To survive, we need to learn how to wield the contradictions that God isn’t working in our lives.

Be humbled by your failures; their lessons will make you stronger!

Lean on patience and have faith in the Lord’s timing. Stand firm before the enemy, convinced and prepared, for the blessings that God promised!

James 3:5–6, TLB

TODAY'S WORD:

We need to realize that God hears what we say every day. He hears us when we bless people, when we compliment and encourage them, and when we push them forward. He hears when we criticize and stir up trouble. The prophet Isaiah said that we will eat the fruit of our words. If you sow disrespect, sarcasm, discord, and judgment, you’re going to reap those things. But when you sow kindness, encouragement, and mercy, that’s what you’re going to reap.

James said that our tongue is like a fire, and one spark can set a whole forest on fire. One word can start a major problem or a major blessing. You can start some good fires. Ignite dreams, ignite hope, ignite passion. Your words can put people on their feet, breathe new life into their dreams. Don’t be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution. Be a lifter, be an encourager, be a healer.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. I want to love them like You do. Help me to use my words to start some good fires. I believe that You are making me into a lifter, an encourager, a healer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

RESPOND WITH LOVE.

MEMORISE:

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

READ: 1 Corinthians 13:2

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

MESSAGE

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matthew 5:44

As Christians we are called to a lifestyle of love- unconditional love even towards enemies and unfriendly people.

Some years ago, I went to see a man in his office and although he knew I had arrived, he kept me waiting. He probably thought I would get angry and leave, but I waited patiently. Finally, after several hours, he came in to attend to me and met me smiling. He found it hard to believe. “You waited?” He asked and I responded “Yes sir.” Immediately, his previously unfriendly countenance towards me changed. Today, that ‘unfriendly’ man has a house in Redemption Camp. Responding with love to those who wrong you will confuse and win them over to your side.

Have people been hurting you with their words and actions? From now on, smile and do good to them. Is anyone persecuting you because you are a Christian? Why not pray for them to have an encounter with Christ, so they can change? When you report with love to those who hate you, some may see you as a fool and try to advise you otherwise. Ignore them and obey the counsel of Jesus because 1 Corinthians 1:25 says “…..the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

Don’t abuse or insult anybody, your words should be seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6). Don’t try to avenge yourself because vengeance is of God and not man (Romans 12:19). Don’t pray for your persecutors to die because God is not interested in the death of a sinner (Ezekiel 18:23, 32). No matter what you are going through in the hands of anyone, always respond in love. By doing so, you will save yourself and the person too and this is the will of God.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, give me the grace to respond in love to all those who hurt me.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 19-21

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 29: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS.

1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

3. Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

4. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

When you're suffering, do you still give God the glory? ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
For whatever you endure, do it in the name of the Lord and continue to give thanks to God the Father (Colossians 3:17). ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Faith Stops At The Question

How can you possibly refuse any unfavorable thoughts that torment you if you don't accept God’s truth?⁣

Even when facing strife, you must embrace triumph as though it’s already in your presence.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s time for you to call prosperity! ⁣⁣

It's crucial to check the alignment of our spiritual faith. Convinced in our faith, we accept God's Word at its face value, leaving our questions and fears at His feet. We take the next step in conceiving our faith, and seeing that all of the Lord's promises will come to fruition. The confession of faith must follow, for nothing will happen in our lives if we do not confess to the world our faith in the One who created it. This is the year to declare “2020 spiritual vision,” as you exercise your faith in God, giving Him the glory every step of the way⁣

Righteous in Christ

Do you feel all wrong about yourself? I know that I did for much of my life, and it made me totally miserable. I frustrated myself trying to do lots of good things in hopes that I might feel better about myself, but it was never a permanent solution.

God offers us a new way of living through faith in Jesus Christ. He offers us righteousness as a gift, to be received through faith. We can feel right about ourselves, not because we do everything right, but because we have been made right by an act of God’s great grace and mercy. The minute you believe this truth, the bur- den you’ve been carrying will lift off of you, and peace and joy will come.

Your sins were all paid for when Jesus took them upon Himself and took the punishment that you deserved when He died on the cross. See yourself the way He sees you: washed clean and completely right with Him. Believe God’s Word more than you believe anything else and start living a brand-new way!

Prayer Starter: Prayer: Father, thank You for making me right with You! Help me to receive your forgiveness by faith, to live without condemnation, and to walk in Your grace today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Theme For Jerry Savelle Devotional 16th February 2020 - PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

First Corinthians 14:15 teaches us that we can pray both with our understanding (our mind) and out of our spirit: “What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding” (NKJV). There are several great reasons why you need to pray in the Spirit:

•   It builds you up spiritually (see 1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 1:20).

•   It enables you to pray the will of God when you don’t know what to pray or how to pray for a particular situation (see Romans 8:26-27).

•   It refreshes and brings rest (see Isaiah 28:11-12).

One of the greatest benefits of praying in the Spirit is that by doing so we can obtain wisdom from God about how to pray even as we’re praying. “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries” (1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV).

First Corinthians 2:6-7 explains this even further: “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery [or in the Spirit], the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory” (NKJV). This “hidden wisdom” translates into God’s perfect will. It may not be known to your understanding when you first began to pray, but the Holy Spirit through you and in you is helping you to pray it to the Father.

As you pray in the Spirit, you may not have immediate understanding of what you are saying; but when you pray in faith in the Spirit, the wisdom will come.

Take advantage of this powerful gift God has given you and spend time daily praying in the Spirit.

Confession: As I pray in the Spirit, I am praying God’s perfect will for my life and I believe I receive wisdom, revelation, and insight.

Religion / Joel Osteen Devotional 15th February 2020 – Dare To Ask Big by Devotionals: 2:24pm On Feb 15, 2020

Theme For Joel Osteen Devotional 15th February 2020 - Dare to Ask Big

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Matthew 21:22, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD:

When God laid out the plan for your life, He didn’t just put into it what you need to get by and endure until the end. He put more than enough in it. He’s a God of abundance. We see this all through the Scripture. David says, “My cup runs over.” He had an abundance, more than he needed. Yes, we should thank God that our needs are supplied, but don’t settle there. He is a more-than-enough God. He wants you to have an abundance so you can be a blessing to those around you.

Are you asking for the abundant, overflowing, more-than-enough life that God has for you? God says you are to reign in life, that whatever you touch will prosper and succeed. Don’t pray to just get by. Dare to ask big. Ask for what God has promised you. Ask Him for new levels. Ask Him for explosive blessings. Ask Him to propel you into your purpose.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for Your grace, favor, and mercy. Thank You for being the God of overflow! I am asking You for the more-than-enough life that You have promised. I believe that You will give me the desires of my heart, and my cup will run over. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
