Hello Mr. Scantee. It is indeed rare to see some one do what you do. Well done. You might think maybe cos I need your help. Am not a praise singer. Am speaking from experience.
You remind me of what my grand dad always say: when a man finds his feet, his duty is to help others find theirs. For then will he find people to help him when he is down.

God bless you bro

Here's your link.. http://www.grad.uottawa.ca/Default.aspx?tabid=3798&moncontrol=DisplayEqui&country=Nigeria#display

If you check the admissions page, it gives different countries minimum requirements, check what it says for Nigeria...... A friend of mine with an average of 66% just got admitted into M. Eng Chemical Engineering.

I sent you a mail, can you reply?

Onyeoma3:

I think Demoah is right with regards to university admission using a college certificate. But am pretty sure about PGD @ unisask, just that it might be competitive.

It doesn't hurt to contact any university you are looking foward to attending in the future, and ask them about their admission using college certificate. They might tell you something favourable, which will in turn help you to direct your plans when you arrive in Canada. Have in mind that admission requirements are flexible and prone to change from one academic session to the next.

Thanks for the enlightenment. If one run a PGD program in a particular course can he/she do a masters in another course in the same field?

just check on Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Saskatchewan

P.G.D. -
The program is suspended and applications are not being accepted at this time.

Any other one you are aware of?

What you posted is from the website of FGPS while I got my info from the Departmental website.

Generally, the FGPS is more divergent to accommodate the whole departments (don't rule out the fact that some departments are more competitive than others), while the respective departments are more convergent.

The only condition that can make the Dept go with someone with a 2.2 is if the last 10 courses (30 credit units) or last 2 years of program are above 3.5
(in which case, your friend crossed the pass mark). Most schools in Canada consider the last 2 years of an applicant's undergraduate based on the conception that he /she has specialized a bit at those levels, and can cope in the intended postgraduate program

Thanks Onyeoma3 & luvly3. Quite suprising you both have got the number 3 in ur moniker. I really appreciate your inputs.
My question is if someone don't meet the criteria (boded above) what in your wealth of knowledge can the person do (any solution)?
is the any sort of diploma or something that can be done to qualify the person for a masters admission program?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by deWav: 3:07am On Apr 29, 2015
Greetings, pls pardon me. Am new in this field so forgive me if I ask some questions already asked. I have tried going through the previous parts for the answers to my questions the information seem to much. I got a headache this past few days trying to source the previous chapters.

I graduated with a 3.2 gpa, got someone offering to sponsor my masters to go in Jan 2016. have checked on different schools, the requirement i see is 2nd class upper.

What is the option for a chemical engineering graduate with a 2.2 to run graduate studies?? (is there a program like post-graduate diploma that I can run that will qualify me to be admitted to pursue a masters degree)

Or are there schools with requirements of 2nd class lower?

Pls, I need your input. I might lose this offer from my sponsor if i fail to secure admission this winter

Thanks for your anticipated response

It is becoming clearer by each passing day that the US does not mean well for Nigeria. Nigeria government should be more careful now of any gift from the US especially at this period as such may be coated with hidden motive. Nigeria is a loving country until politics tends to divide us. We shall all overcome by God's grace.

Politics should not be a do or die game. That we don't support one candidate should not make us enemy.
Politics / Letter To Usa by deWav: 12:17am On Feb 09, 2015
Dear United States,
I read today your letter through your secretary of state John Kerry of your disappointment with OUR election postponement and I must say I am shocked that you of all nations could utter such. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate your “sudden concern” over OUR elections but I have a few things to say to you:
Must we accept your laws as our own? You and I know that the relationship between us started collapsing when we outrightly refused to accept your gay rights and legalization offer in exchange for aid and we said and are still saying KEEP YOUR AIDS! We are a cultured and sensible nation with self worth and will NOT degrade ourselves to marrying objects, animals and same sex as is obtainable in some of your states.
When the Boko Haram issue escalated and we realized that we didn’t have sufficient weaponry to combat the menace, we approached you for arms and war equipment what was your response? You labelled our hardworking and dedicated armed forces as human rights violators as if they were the enemy and YOU saw the real enemy as mere victims based on that YOU (U.S) refused to sell us arms and BLOCKED our access to other nations from getting arms.
When EBOLA came into Nigeria, we also approached you for help because as at that time you were in the process of developing an antidote for it but what was your response again? Well you refused to even SELL it to us. But God saw our helpless situation and heard our cries, we defeated the plague ON OUR OWN (though losing some very patriotic and intelligent persons along the way). Then the same EBOLA plague visited you and you came running to us to come and learn how we managed it. But like good people and a great nation which we are, we didn’t pay you in your own coin. Rather we sat you down and taught like kindergarten kids the rudiments of EBOLA fighting.
Boko Haram suddenly upped their game by taking up territories and claiming a caliphate, we saw that we needed desperate measures so we approached Russia and China (your sworn enemies) for arms which they gladly sold to us (God bless the Chinese who stated that they sold us the arms to protect their interests in Nigeria). You came up and said you didn’t intentionally refuse to sell us arms (which means you admit that you actually did refuse) anyway we don’t need your arms anymore as we’re progressing without them and we will win this war without them.
All of a sudden I saw Kerry fly down to Nigeria with an ambulance (was he expecting to die in Nigeria or he brought something in it? I leave that question to your conscience and Nigerian security operatives to answer).
And now you’re suddenly interested in our politics and election. We know your gimmicks how you stylishly encourage anarchy and war so that you can take advantage of the prevailing situation to divide us because obviously we are becoming STRONGER and BIGGER than YOU!
Finally you can now imagine my shock that YOU have the effrontery and audacity to even comment on our election postponement to which you contributed to the excuse that the ruling government has for postponing it in the first place. If you had supplied us weapons when we needed it, Boko Haram would have been a thing of the past and there wouldn’t be an excuse for any election postponement.
In conclusion, I’ve been searching for the most polite words to express my true response to your letter but the most suitable I could get is:
PLEASE SHUT UP!!!
Thank you.
