What do you do differently to get invites?
Basically, your job hunting experience.

Yes sir, in ALL levels of government from local to state to federal.
Does that mean that we, the citizens, who elected and/or ALLOWED them to rule over us are even MORE clueless?

The government is a product of the citizens. QED

Wrong, the problem Nigeria has is some selected retarded few chose to be sentimental.

Thanks for ya advice bro... I really appreciate.. I head one could also work and school in the US?? Is that possible
.

Welcome, we help one another.

yes, you can work and school but, no matter your work you are only eligible to 20 hours per week during session and 40 hours per week on holidays.

I intentionally based my calculation on tuition alone. As someone can work and pay for his/her accommodation and living expenses. After that, you would have little on nothing left. So how then do you pay for tuition.

Let me remind you, if americians get loans for their kids in medical school despite, mother father and the the kid working upto 3-4 jobs, how then will someone limited as an F-1 student be able to foot the bills. Well, you might if you are able to write a coding to communicate with aliens. Believe me, the money silicon valley and NASA will pay for the 20 hours per week will be more than what you need for 30 years med school.

Wait, @franknetter, sorry again for the epistle. one love bro

Hello etisoa97,

I would have loved to just read and pass, but i could help but drop this.

Yes, 2 million is too small. Wait , before you come for my head let me brake it.

I heard you wanted medicine in US or Canada. with just 2 million, even 5 million self you will really struggle.

Here is what was posted on the US student forum,

Anywhere in the world, Medicine and cheap don't go in the same sentence. Anywhere you go to in the world to study Medicine, they see you (an Int'l student) as a cash cow. You need all the money you can get. Even native Americans take crazy loans for their kids to study Medicine, with the hope that the money they make later will pay back those loans. A pre-med program is a standard four-year degree, during which you satisfy the requirements to get into a Medical school. In the US, you can study Biochem, Math, even Philosophy; as long as you're able to satisfy the app requirements during those four years, you're good.

So, your options: -

- Apply for the Federal Govt scholarship to study Medicine abroad (if it's still active). OR
- Find someone with a deep cash pocket to pay. In the US, it's 4 years of pre-med, and then 4 years of Med school. Thereafter, you might offset the costs, if you'll be getting a PhD in clinical research, which would then be free. But expect no free money for the first 8 years. In Ukraine or Russia, it's six years of Med school, right after O'level. OR
- Sit down and work really hard on your O'level courses. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, English. Read until you get it. Turn off Facebook. Resist cramming. Take UTME, post-UTME, and get into a top Med school in Nigeria. E.g. UI, UNIBEN, OAU, UNILORIN. They don't have great Int'l standings, but for now, they're the best we've got. Of course, work hard, and complete your med school in any of those

Okay, so as you know 4 years pre-med plus 4 years med school
Cost for pre-med (using Northwestern University as reference): Total tuition only cost for the 4 years is $52,239. Using #300 to $1, amounting to #15,671,700
Cost for med school (using Emory University as reference): Yearly Tuition cost is $25,000. For 4 years, is $100,000. Amounting to #30,000,000
Your Total tuition only is about #45,000,000.

With this, you see that the 2million is a joke, I'm not belittling your effort or looking down on your dreams. I just want you to be realistic with your options.

On your family issue, the greed of many relatives. I would ask, if you the first son was around and they took 70% of the company if you go manage to leave now, don't you think they will make it 100%? I'm giving thinking ooh!!!

Despite all these points i raised, I still believe it is still achievable. Yes, i heard of my mum's colleague son that got a fully funded pre-med school. No joke. about 30million scholarship.

My advice, marry the usa student visa page, start reading from maybe part 7 if you can. Take SAT and TOEFL, smack it with your life, who knows, your story can be another fairytale we would talk about in the coming years.

Please for your good, Never, I repeat Never use any agent. You can do all these your self, just plan early

Frank, sorry for the long post, I won't do it again.

Hello awoyinfa76. Nigeria is a predominantly English-speaking country. You are left to explain why you would be paying very pricey tuition to learn something that is readily available at home for free.
