That isn't a problem your visa will be granted. Also, you have a valid passport. The only thing they will do is to give you a visa that will expire when your passport will expire. OR You can be lucky to have it beyond October 2020. I have a similar situation My passport will expire in 02018 and I got a Visa that will runs up until MAY 2019.

WOOW YOU HAVE ACTUALLY DONE THE RIGHT THING BY DOING SAQA FIRST. The point is admission into SA UNI are done a year before you resume to the school pending your admission into the school. Lately, SA university prefers students to enrol for HoNS before proceeding for MSC/mCOM depending on the course you wanna study. Step one Apply to any university and get the admission letter. Step two: Once you get the admission letter apply for your Medical AIds, Medical report, Radiological report, Police clearance certificate, yellow fever certificate, bank statement. I am a BSc degree holder, I want to study for my MSc in Cape town. I need guidance and assistant. This is the step I have taken. I submitted for SAQA evaluation, received a message it will be out by 13th of March.
If anyone has an idea how much this whole process will cost me, or a list of things I should do or prepare to do, like step one, step 2, especially in getting the admission or what school to apply to. Now I am considering CPUT, because I couldn't understand anything on UCT'S website.

Hi Everyone,

I would like to confirm that the cost of renewing Nigerian Int'l passport in Johannesburg is USD106 (online option) plus additional R50 paid to Nigerian High Commission in Rosebank. After the payment, I went to Rivonia office for data capturing and I collected my international passport the following day. The whole process lasted for just three days. First day for the payment, second day for data capturing and the third day for data capturing.

Go to any Airline website book as if you plan travelling, Once you get to payment section indicate that you will pay later on the airline website automatically the flight itinerary will be sent to your email. That is what you will take to the embassy. You can do that a day prior to your vfs appointment.

I heard SA embassy doesn't accept 3rd party hotel reservation anymore that they only need a direct hotel reservation. I intend to travel to Johannesburg next month and I need a direct hotel to book. Does anyone here has has direct hotels I can make reservation with Payment on Arrival to be precise.

I did not have my BSC certificate when I did my SAQA. The important thing is for you to certify all your document. Also, ensure that your university responds to an email that will be sent from SAQA to verify if your result is genuine.

most times they don't give visa beyond passports expiration. It only takes favour and luck.

I believe there are different ways to secure a resident permit. either through temporary permit ( study or work visa etc) OR Permanent permit.
Options are 1. Obtain an admission letter to study in any institution in South Africa 2. Obtain a critical skill permit 3. A critical permit visa is also a gateway to obtain a permanent resident permit in RSA. 4. Lastly, you can convert your visiting Visa to an Asylum permit if you know you dont wanna go back to Nigeria again. Goodluck in your strive in staying in RSA.

In SA is like 3,000 rand it will take a month plus. Cos they will give I date for capturing again. 9ja 10-21days u can get it the same depending on where u do it. Price like +/- 35k

I'm just thinking that if I renew in Nigeria then later come in with both Passport from Nigeria which of the passport will immigration office in Nigeria Stamps on at the point of exit from Nigeria? And which passport will they stamp at the point of entry in South Africa? OLD OR NEW PASSPORT?

You can renew your passport at least six month before expiration in Nigeria while in SA you can renew also without any implication

Yes u can. I went to Renew my passport y.day sef. Renewing in SA is more expensive and it takes time. No implication

That is food idea but not the bsThis is good idea but not the best because the name of the German school will b on your passport this will compile you to apply again for permit when admission letter is issued for MSc .Inform your dean via supervisor of your intention to enrol for Msc and the need for permit renewal .A letter from dean stating your intention to enrol next year will be accepted at Home affairs.This route has helped many international students .

HONS is a program you register for in RSA UNIVERSITIES before you can do your MSC in some universities. It often last for just one session. 8 to 9months

I have also started processing other institution for MSC next year, Please how can I extend my study visa since there is no admission letter starting I already registered for MSC and also my program will also end this year?
