No another reprint wont be sent to you. You going to use the earlier one you printed. Flight delay can be caused by a whole lot of reasons. Cheers Just ensure you arrive at the airport early. Anikkybd: PLEASE HOUSE, IF MY FLIGHT WAS DELAYED FOR 15 MINS, AND I WAS TOLD, WILL ANOTHER REPRINT BE SENT TO ME OR I WILL STILL HOLD THE ONE THAT WAS EARLIER FOR 15 MINS, PLEASE REPLY ME FAST , MY FLIGHT IS TODAY |

Yes walk into the general hospital. There is no big process. If they agreed to sign it for you without going through any test that will be a plus for you. fahila: Please do I just walk into any general hospital with the forms for the medical and radiology report or is there a process. Please it’s urgent. Thanks. |

Yes, it does exempt you from hotel reservation. The letter will relieve you of any issue you might likely encounter at the embassy regarding residence. Drey143: Hello bosses.. Please I have a question concerning hotel reservation..the school I'm gonna be attending sent me an off campus accommodation letter directed to the SA embassy which I have attached below... Does the content exempt me from hotel reservation?? Please your replies will be appreciated.. As well to my previous questions..

Yes this is the type I talked about but most preferably try and use FLYSA https://www.flysaa.com/ and ensure you do the dummy itinerary few days to the time you will go to the embassy. It can also be a day to your submission of visa application. Certainly, it is valid for the embassy. Drey143: Thanks I would do just as you said.. Please checkout the picture I attached which contains a dummy flight itinerary as you said.. I booked through KLM.. Is this the type you talking about? And is it valid for the embassy? |

1. Most people do get visa till when their passport expires. But if you want to play smart you can go and get a new passport from Immigration that you misplace your passport. With that, you will be issued a new passport that will last you for 5 years. 1a. This will further lessen your stress of applying for a new passport in the case where the old one expires as well as an extension of your study visa. 1b. You will also able to get 4 years study visa directly on the new passport you will obtain from immigration office in Nigeria 2. You can do your medical and radiological report in any general, state or federal hospital 3. Don't be bothered booking a verifiable flight is just like booking a dummy flight itinerary prior to the time you will go to the embassy. You don't have to pay for such bookings. You can even do the booking as many time as you like. the detail will be sent to your email and once you don't pay after 24 hours it would automatically cancel. Hope this feedback resolves your enquiries? Keep well. Drey143: Thank you so much I really appreciate the response.. I've done some research and I can see from your perspective. Definitely going with what you said.. About visa process.. I've got a few things.. Admission letter, yellow fever card, proof of finance and the likes.. But I really want some clarifications about some of the requirements 1)its stated that your passport must be valid for at least 30 days after your intended stay.my passport expires 2 years from now and I'm in for a four year program.. How do I go about this? 2)Can I have my medical and radiological report from a private hospital? 3)this one bothers me the most... I'm required to book a verifiable flight..how do I book a flight when I've not been given a visa...or how can I book a flight without paying for it??
Thanks in anticipation of your response... |

I see you are not ready to get yellow fever card if you want to go get it from General hospital. you can go to any airport close to your location I'm sure they will have port health office there. Or better still go to any federal ministry of health office in your state or where you are based. Kindly tell us your location I'm sure someone on this platform will give you the closest office where you can get it. teiluj:

|

To my understanding, I see Bsc(Eng) Mechanical and mechatronics engineering is a two in one discipline which gives you two area of specialisation in one degree, unlike Bsc(Eng) Mechatronics engineering which is just one major. You can start your visa process as soon as possible if you have gotten needed admission letter from UCT. Cheers Drey143: Hello guys, I'm a pretty young lad..i applied to Uni of Capetown and got two admission offers for two different courses in the same school. 1)Bsc(Eng) Mechatronics engineering 2)Bsc(Eng) Mechanical and mechatronics engineering NB:Mechatronics is in the dept of electrical engineering while mech&mechatronics is in dept of mech engineering Please I need your advice as to which I should go for... Furthermore, school resumes next year January, when should I start the visa process? |

@Geenosko I agree with you systems are now changing drastically in SA funding to foreign students. But, there is no doubt about your stance but making an attempt is not a bad thing. I know of Nigerians without PR that are either on full NRF and CSIR bursary as well as on grant holders bursaries. Geenosko: NRF, CSIR gives priority to South Africans and Permanent Residents and even at that not every Supervisor has access to these funds. Not impossible but under the present circumstances, its makes it a whole lot more difficult |

1. Well from experience, you can renew your study permit RSA without Naija police clearance. They won't request for it at VfS. 2. If you are lucky you can be given a study visa beyond the expiration date of your current passport. Such was my case. 3. Apply with your current passport since it is still valid for 1 years. 4. Also if you think you don't want to you can go for a new passport in Nigeria high commision in Johannesburg. You can instruct them to cancel your current passport they will issue with a new one. Hope this information helps. abdullahi45: I have not spent up to a year in SA, but I have spent more than 6 months, I need to renew my visa, can I get SA police clearance or I have to get Naija own?
Also, What do you advice please, my passport expires Aug 2019, and I need to renew my study visa (for two years program)?
Can I be given 2yrs visa on my passport even though it expires in 1year?
Thanks |

Yes CSIR bursary application was released last week for 2019 Bursary for postgraduate studies. Google for more detail. You could be their choice. abdullahi45: I stand to be corrected but the above info is not totally correct. I will advise you to try to secure a research supervisor for your PhD.. You may then proceed to apply for NRF, CSIR or other bursaries. CSIR alone offers about R130k per year equivalent to #3.9m, just for your living expenses and accommodation.

it will be good for you to enrol directly for PhD PROGRAM instead of doing Masters again. You can apply for PhD in different schools in SA. This will definitely free you from extra cost. There is no too much difference between MSC research and PhD in RSA because both are rigorous. Because they are both time taking, unlike MSC by coursework. Settle for the PhD once and for all. You will thank me latter. tonypapebo:
I will appreciate if someone can furnish me with information on certificates I should submit for SAQA evaluation, I currently have Bsc and Msc but would be applying for another Masters (M Research) or Phd program (Which ever one I get). I am confused because my guy in SA said I should evaluate my Bsc and Msc but another said I must include WAEC which I did in 1998. Please do I need to add my WAEC certificate and how can I would get the scratch card pin.

You can send your transcripts and other academic documents personally to Saqa as long it is certified and genuine. The only thing is SAQA will verify the genuineness of your certificate directly from your University. That is when you need to ensure/follow up that your university sends a confirmation letter back to SAQA. odigiri1983: Please kindly advise me.Do I send my transcripts by myself to SAQA or allow my university send directly by itself. |

Well, I disagree with you on the comment ''that Home affairs will never give a visa that exceeds passport expiring date'' I'm currently using a Visa that spans beyond my passport expiration date with almost a year. geekybabe: Home affairs will never give you a visa that extends your passport expiry. Why would you need two more years? What are you studying? Anyways, your best bet is to apply now and get a visa till your passport expires. I don't know how getting a new passport works if the old one has not expired. |

This should not be an issue, All you have to do is for you to go to any Police station in SA to do a finger print indicating Critical skill Visa. Then inform them that you will be sending it to Nigeria. Once you get that you can send it to someone in Nigeria via courier to do the clearance for you at Alagbon then the person will send the polica clearance cerificate back to you in SA. wine4dguy: hello gurus in the house, please I hold a study permit(2nd year in SA) and will be rounding up my studies(honours) in November, so I want to apply for a work permit(critical skills possibly) I see in the requirement for the application that i need a Nigerian police clearance, please how do i go about getting the Nigerian police clearance? |

Yes, you can use your uncle's bank statement different surname is not an issue as long there is sufficient fund in the account. All he will do is for him to stand as your sponsor. Minimum of 2million naira is okay for the bank statement during your application. lamide718: Hello house, I am an administrative staff of one of the federal university in Nigeria with annual gross of a little bit above 1million. I recently apply for a Master program in a south Africa university waiting for the university to reply anytime from next week. Note: cooperative contribution, and other charges are deducted from the source. Two, how much is advisable to have in my account balance, and lastly can I use my uncle as my sponsor even duo we bear different surname. Thank you in advance house. |

Saqa evaluation is important for you to be able to gain admission. Though some schools do not enforce it, but virtually all schools requires it for you to further your degree in RSA. You will also need to send your certified academic transcripts through your school to Saqa for evaluation with a fee. Visit this link www.saqa.org.za sudo1986: Good morning my people.......I received this message from from the school I applied to but I dont know how to go about SAQA of a thing and how much it will cost me. Meanwhile, I have submitted my University degree certificate during registration and I dont know why they are requesting for it again. Here is the message
Good Morning Mr Ajibode,
Your application for the master’s programme in Computer Science and Information Science refers.
Please forward the following outstanding documents in order to proceed:
Ø Certified copy of your degree certificate, and a Ø SAQA (South African Quality Authority) certificate as requested by the Admissions Committee for foreign qualifications.
With regards to your application for Information Science option you are referred to the attached Guidelines for enrolling for a Master’s where you need to first identify a research topic and then draft an abstract before I can submit your application to the Admissions Committee.
The other option for Computer Science, the department does not require a research proposal/abstract prior to the evaluation process – they will liaise with you directly.
Thank you, regards |
