So i was born on the 25th of December 1995 and that made a lot of people call me Jesus. I didn't hate the name; how could i? But i didn't like to be called the name either. It really salted my games unpleasantly. Not that i had that much games. I hate the word 'shy', it seems like another name for a smiling coward so i wouldn't call myself shy. I would say i was a very reserved guy who would prefer being confined to the discomfort of his comfort zone rather than being in the midst of people, especially the female race. Why? I seriously don't know. I was just okay with my passive life and had no need to upgrade until the university happened. I celebrated at the sight of my signed admission letter and would beam with joy each time my dad reminded me that i was closer to an amazing life. Little did i know that it was going to be purgatory for me. |

Dr seuss once said about life ''Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.'' Well my own version of it is ''life is full of crap and crap happens. Don't cry over it, don't even smile over it. Just write about it. Crap!'' My name is Jimmy Abrahams and this is my crappy story..... |

pendy79: I heard the JUSUN strike was called off for this kind of shenanigans.
Lets see who owns sovereignty either the people or PDP. Attorney General bribing COURT WORKERS to go on strike so as to prevent people with grudges against a stupid primary from being heard and all cases against GEJ election are suspended but on seeing the tsunami coming they have decided to open Federal Courts while States Courts are still locked to deflect the anger and lack of any thing to campaign with and playing their last cards of desperation.
The patriotic Secretary General of JUSUN was right then, the Attorney General bribed union heads to call the strike, now they need the court to open so as to file this case they called off strike. Strike called off late sunday 25th January night, Okafor got his court summon Monday 26th january. They don't even have tact and commonsense in their planning.
Who are the thinkers behind the PDP? Why is being daft and and clueless a plague amongst its members and supporters? Acting without adequate plans is failure. APC have the antidote okafor, your sponsors didn't do their homework fine. This is a no case submission.
Never in our National History did an Attorney General bribe judiciary workers union officials to go on strike to forestall intra party crisis being heard in courts but now they need to courts to do them a favour they foolishly think they can get, they have bribed again to open only federal courts meanwhile what JUSUN supposedly went on strike for IS NOT IMPLEMENTED. JONATAN will go down history as the worst president to have ruled Nigeria and his case will be worst than Laurent Gbagbo. The tsunami is coming
Tot their documentary should do the magic, let them continue to make Buhari popular, hope they have money to keep playing the Documentary till the 14th of FeBUHARI for a stupid documentary won't deter this CHANGE.
Watch out for the APC's documentary soon on your TV. get a life man. u see conspiracies where there are none..... cast ur single vote and let us hear word. |

Our house was usually empty on Saturdays as my parents being private workers worked six days a week. My siblings were members of the choir in our church and had their practice every Saturday. Usually i hated Saturdays as it was the only day i was mostly alone but after i discovered my latest hobby, i jumped at the opportunity of being alone as it gave me every space i needed to perform my act in which i had became a pro. From the use of any lubricant whatsoever to my dry palms, i could make my brain explode anywhere and any time. Puberty began to announce its presence in my life the more as my interest in girls became a big deal to me. I became a lot conscious of what i wore to certain places and how i spoke around girls. More than that, i had a crush. Her name was Sophia and she was ahead of me by a class. Sophia was pretty though not beyonce's kind of pretty, she definitely had the body of Nicki Minaj and i thought i was in love. Sophia's status in my mind earned her a regular role in my head while in indulged in my hobby. One Saturday morning, after the customary thirty minutes wait that followed the departure of my parents and siblings, i took out my tools and was ready for pleasure. I was so desperate to get started that i forgot i hadn't shut door. As i excited myself i heard someone walk in, i froze.
"put your pants back on and run inside" i heard an unfamiliar voice say as i scurriedly did so without even seeing who it was. I buried my head in shame as i wondered who the person was. Then i heard my mum's voice from the living room followed by the initial voice. It was a lady's voice. She lived across the street and wasn't really close to my mum. Apparently she saw my mum on the way to work and requested for something. My mum rushed in and out and seconds later i could hear her exchanged pleasantries across the street. I dashed to shut the door this time but was shocked to find the lady still in our sitting room. She smiled at me liked i was a child who peed on his pants. "i waited for you to come lock the door this time" her smile grew wild while i stood mute. I had never felt so embarrassed and didn't know when i said thanks. She scoffed. As she made to leave, she turned and said "you should come to my house to thank me later" she left. |

I was born and brought up in Edo state of Nigeria and had a pretty normal childhood. I was the last amongst the four off-springs of my parents and contrary to what people thought, i didn't see much advantage in it. I was quite close to my twin siblings, Christian and Christiana While the eldest of us got married right after i got into secondary school. I was a bright student, got straight As, was ever ready to learn. All these attributes were responsible for my skipping classes which made me one of the youngest in my class when i got to senior secondary school one. By SS1 i began to notice real change in my body. I had began to grow hair at certain areas, my voice got deeper and i had began developing a strange kind of feeling for the opposite sex. I remember taking a warm bath one harmattan afternoon. As i washed up my manly area, an intoxicating but pleasurable feeling was distributed all over my body followed by the expulsion of an eccentric liquid from my male part. I was petrified at first, few minutes later i wanted to do it again. I did it day after day, learning new ways and trying not to get caught in the process. I frequently practiced my new found hobby until an incident happened. |

Life is like a doctor. It makes an attempt to treat it patients and some get better while the others don't. The ones who get better feel indebted to it; they owe it their life and are oblivious that it was just doing its job. The ones who get worse get mad at it feeling it could have done better if it wanted to. They too forget one thing it's only doing its job. Life is fair when it wants to be but the truth of the matter is: Life isn't fair even when it is. My name is John paul and this is the story of my life. |

whitemosquito: I observed that a lot of us either did not understand the rules or we didnt bother to read them. Very bad. In any contest, one of the most important things you can ever do is to READ THE RULES...and understand them. I even opened a comment thread specifically to respond to questions and clarifications, unfortunately even some of the questions asked were not the right questions..
So while the judges are judging, lemme be dropping little clues...
Now, one of the guidelines reads that contestants may write based on a theme of their choice- comedy, humour, tragedy, romance etc, right?
Okay.
But didnt I go further to state that this edition's Challenge is woven around the PROMISE AND EXCITEMENT OF THE NEW YEAR?
If you think about it carefully, it means only happy stories. Stories that are filled with happiness or excitement. Not tragedies. If you decide to write a tragedy, you must tweak it or twist it with the best of your skill, somehow towards the finish such that it ENDS ON A HAPPY/EXCITING NOTE. That's the Challenge.
A lot of contestants failed here. busted. |

There was tension in the GRA, Benin City Monday following the demolition of the residence of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of University of Benin along with his personal belongings. Although the state government is yet to make a public comment on the development, occupants of the property accused the state government of being the brains behind the demolition in spite of the fact that a case on the property is before an appellate court. http://myunibenmetro..com/2015/01/residence-of-immediate-past-uniben-vc.html |

OMA4U: LarrySun, "All writers are equal, but some writers are more equal than others."
Truly, there are grade A writers like LarrySun, Ishilove, Princesa, Royver, Kamyemjay, Repogirl etc. and we need to learn from them.
I subscribe to this. What are the aims? primarily, getting better and sharing ideas. it's all about making better stories for us writers and establishing a sound network within ourselves would go a long way. |
