Happy sunday pals. So i noticed the war that has been on NL these past days and it got me thinking. Perhaps true politicians viz buhari,bola,liar,rotimi and others may be on nairaland OR some dudes/gals are really that jobless to the extent of wanting to pull down NL for some bunch of thieves. Now call me a castrated liar if i say that PDP is a party rid of thieves. In the same vein,i will tag you a chronic madman if u term APC as Nigeria's salvation. The truth be told, the so-called 'progressives' still have a voice because 2015 isn't here yet. I am pretty sure they will keep shut come febuary next year cos even the General knows that GEJ isn't leaving Aso rock until 2019. These past months, GEJ have been the best politician as he has mostly been silent even after heavy criticisms. People forget that 'silence is the best answer give to a fool'. Now after the re-election of Mr president, all these antagonists who apparently live for the backwardness of this govt and apparently Nigeria would indeed be useless and irrelevant even to themselves. My advice: don't kill urself over some bunch of losers. They actually get paid for losing but u don't. God bless Nigeria. God bless GEJ! . #runsaway |

Omonoba1: am at Edo scholarship board now and the guy here said the list was sent to them by agbami to confirm if they are actually Benin names and indigenes...he further said they av returned d list to agbami afterwhich agbami wud then get back to them with list of awardees and their passport attached ..and also messages and emails wud be sent during this time..i was asked to check back nextweek...so lets keep our fingers crossed till then..xup. Hw do one get to d office? |

As stepped out of the gigiantic building behind me, i could relate to the story of the princess that was locked away in a tower. The tasted of air felt different; it felt raw and it always meant absolute freedom. I was headed to my friend, Tony's place. As i moved some feets away from my house, i sighted a familiar car. It wasn't just familiar, it was my dad's car. Damn! I ducked behind a parked car. I didn't want him seeing me as i ought to had been in the Legions meeting in church. He was way too early from work today. After several minutes of frustration, i heard our gate open and close. An indication that my oldman had entered the compound. Phew! I straightened my shirt and strolled on, 21st street was my destination. ** Never in the past years had anything caught my eyes as this. Not even Theresa. I sighted this beauty queen from where i stood. She stood at about six houses away from Tony's house. There was no way now i was entering that house without convincingly talking to this girl. Now the problem was what to first say to her. I couldn't read her. She didn't seem like the kind of girl that could easily be smitten by my handsomeness neither did she appear to be the i-am-too-chaste kindof girl. I was face with my challenged as i was now three houses away from her. One wrong first word and i would blow my chances. I fretted. I slowed my steps as i pondered hard. I finally forked out some lines as i recited them over and over. As i approached the beauty queen, she turned towards me and her counternance changed suddenly. Oh God! What now? I panicked and couldn't remember a line i had practised. I couldn't go back now, i was already at arms length away. I had to say something. Anything. I opened my mouth to say God knows what, then i heard her say: 'samson?' what the hell? She knew me? How?....... |

I frowned as i was abrupted awoken by the honking sound coming from somewhere across the street. Who could that fool be? I thought in my mind and quite begged God for forgiveness as i made the sign of the cross. Theresa smile as she caught the movement of my hands from where she stood. 'hmmm, so you now pray for forgiveness after we have........emmm....... You know, prayed...' she turned away shyly, i laughed. I was about to respond to her question but i stopped myself. Sometimes it was better to be seem strange to some persons. Especially the ladies. They think they know you even more than you do. I watched her as she dressed. It was my third most favourite event of the day. She turned back briefly to catch me drooling. I didn't flinch. Again she turned away shyly. Indeed she was a great beauty,i reviewed in my mind as i stared on. She was the longest i had been with over the years. We weren't in a relationship; i don't do relationships. We have been in the affair for over three months. Sometimes i did ask myself how i managed to get most of the best girls around. As it stood, Theresa was the hottest girl in the neighbourhood and yes, my parents owned a little cheese but it wasn't because of the money. 'sam... Sam...' she disturbed my thought. 'am leaving'. 'oh alright babes, i will see you around' i winked at her and she rushed out blushing. I have got that chic for life, my inner voice sounded. Maybe it was time to explore other options...... |
