Business / Start A Jersey Sales Business With As 15k To 20k by DICON2: 9:21am On Aug 07, 2017
Good day folks, I'm here to introduce to you jersey sales business. It's a easy, lucrative business for students, nysc members, guys with small free time and everybody.
Getting quality jersey: jerseys can be bought in idumota axis and possibly Aba market for around 3200 to 4000 at wholesale. You can check around, these jersey sells for 5k minimum, averagely for 6-7k and 10k is possible. It all boils down to marketing skills.
***Some guys in Lagos can also help with customizing, that's value addition and will still make an extra cash on that
Marketing jersey: This is where your creativity comes in, I will list few methods you can use to market your jersey.
1. Olx and jiji: To get the best out of both you will have to buy their ads package especially jiji cos almost everybody buys ads, that way you get maximum exposure.
2. Market to your friends and family
3. Students can paste posters around campus**this will surely bring in sales, I did this while I was still an undergraduate selling wristwatch**
If you also stay around a tertiary institution you can also paste posters in universities too
4. Nysc members can advertise to fellow corpers, during cds, on corper WhatsApp group. You can also collaborate with other cds group president to help advertise in his/her cds group.
I hope this will help someone out there. Should update the thread with some other marketing strategy though those with require cash.

Note: If you stay far away from Lagos and you need help with getting the jerseys contact me.
If you also need more marketing tricks you can contact me

Agriculture / Re: A Thread For Growing Watermelon In your backyard With Photos by DICON2: 10:19pm On Dec 18, 2016
1. Nutrient deficiencies, so feed them well, prepare your soil well before planting and add the needed manure or Npk

2. I'm sure the shrinking is caused by fruitfly(they became rotten eventually), and I've explained how to manage it.

pragmatistm:
Thanks.

Now let me mention the other challenge a that caused loss on the farm.
1. Many water melon plants became yellow when very young and they didn't do well eventually.

2. many fruits started shrinking up as the one I show on the picture here and eventually got spoiled.

Please what is the remedy for these problems?

Eeyah, don't be discouraged.

The first preventive measure is to get a pheromone block, it attracts the make and kill them thereby reducing reproduction( females won't have eggs to lay)

Make sure weekly spraying is followed religiously

No weed at all

You can also plant corn round your farm, fruitflies stay on tall plants during the day. With that you can kill some with insecticide

If I may ask, how often did you spray?

pragmatistm:
Actually, many of the fruits were lost. And the harvesting season is over. Buti wish to plant come next available season and I don't want to lose them like that.
Agriculture / Re: A Thread For Growing Watermelon In your backyard With Photos by DICON2: 7:13pm On Dec 17, 2016
I guess that's fruitfly, please increase you insecticide procedure.

Check for bad fruit and try to kill the maggots with insecticides, if not they will turn to fly and cause more havoc. Check d young fruits well for a hole, if any, fruitfly has laid egg inside

Please take quick action cos if not checked you might lose a lot.

pragmatistm:
At the time there was much rain in my area.

When some broken water melon were opened, there were maggots inside them.
Agriculture / Re: A Thread For Growing Watermelon In your backyard With Photos by DICON2: 10:26pm On Dec 16, 2016
The breakage is caused by water stress, either 2 much water or too much heat.

Please check your farm if it's not affected by fruitfly, though the picture is not that clear. Are some watermelons getting rotten and you find maggot inside if opened?

Are you irrigating, if not, Is rain still falling in your area, when did you plant?

pragmatistm:

Where are all the water melon farmers? Come and respond to this question oo.
