The connection between SA and Palestine is 1948. The years Israel was created was the years Apatheid started in SA......and Israel wholly supported the apatheid regime in SA.
SO DON'T BE SURPRISED AT WHAT SA IS DOING. IN FACT MANDELA TOLD THEM THE FREEDOM OF SA IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE FREEDOM OF PALESTINIANS.

I'm so proud of SA right now

No problem
Israel too should

1. End the Gaza blockade
2. Free all Palestinians in Israeli jails
3. Allow Palestinians be in control of their own future
4. Stop settlement expansion
And promise never again to reoccupy gaza

Mehn! Life is becoming more interesting.

A boy can become a girl if he so desires.
A girl can become a boy if that's what he wants.
A human can choose to become an animal if that's what he wants.
Daughters can now inherit properties from their parents
Couples can now select the gender of their children
Couples can have twins if they want
People can choose not to marry but can have children either through adoption or surrogacy.

But one thing is constant in life: enemies of change.

When women started wearing trousers, they shouted "abomination " how can a woman wear trousers.

When men started wearing ear rings, they shouted "abomination " how can a man wear ear rings.

They're always there to talk but don't worry about them just live the way you want.

I wonder what life would be like 30 years from now.

It was Niccolo Machiavelli that's said
"There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. For he has for enemies those who have done well under the old order and lukewarm defenders in those who will do well under the new order"

Even though change is inevitable man is always afraid of change but that has never stopped things from changing

An average of 5k is spent on subscription/utilities per month with 12months in a year depending on individual in this sinking government; data sub, tv sub, electricity sub, airtime sub, gas bill et al...

Data sub: 5k or more depending on individual. There are some users spending heavily on this..
Airtime sub: 5k or more depending on individual
DStv yanga (with reasonable channels) is 4,200
Prepaid Meter recharge: 5k or more depending on individual
Refilling of gas for 6kg is 6k+ depending on individual. There are those with 12kg cylinder...
===> An average of 300,000 is spent on subscription per year..

What about;
Feeding
Transport
Rent
Groceries and Cloth
Lawma

What about those with family...??!!!

MAY GOD HELP THE SON OF MAN in this trying time!!!..

Money spent on subscription is the first to axe
All others are necessities.
Besides the 247 internet connection for a year shouldn't be that expensive and will even give me access to more content

The success of these elites is the stupidity of the youths who fight among themselves along ethnic line.

So
Is it new.
That's why I laugh when some of you try to intimidate supporters of APC....you think by calling them names will deter them but it clearly didn't.
If not for the grand coalition that brought APC.... Nigeria would have been a one party state already. Instead of Nigeirans vilifying APC they should rather be grateful for it saving Nigeria from becoming a one party state

Yes that's understandable, the situation in gaza is pathetic and the current government in Israel makes things worse ...
The purpose of the thread is to analyze if there would have been any alternative to the high intensity warfare wager by Israel...
Personally i do not see any alternative, that's why i asked on here if someone can educate me on another strategy....

Honestly Israel has very few options especially when enraged. But look at what it's doing in Lebanon...... Precision targeting of Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists ..... It could do that in Gaza too (some of the strikes of Gaza are actually targeted ) no the blanket bombing of everybody everywhere...... That's wrong and Israel risk getting strategically defeated by Hamas if it continues like this because support is drying up and everyone knows that if not for airpower Israel can't face Hamas in street battles on its own home front and succeed ....if not this war would have been long over

Propaganda has its limitations.

Peter Obi jas never been I ducted and has never been convicted. The guy is the cleanest politician in Africa.

In Law ignorance is not an escuse.

1. Putting state money in family business even though good investment is a moral liability.

2. Hiding money in tax heaven's even though legal I'm some places is actually illegal in Nigeria and unpatriotic and should be condemned if done by someone who claims he want do things differently. His only escuse was that he didn't know he was required by law to declare his joint investments.

Yes no one expect Obi to be a saint except his deluded followers but of you want to come to equity come with clean hands.
These allegations ....(You may say he was not indicted)... are a moral burden and a man that claims to want to do things differently shouldn't have such burden on his neck.

My question to geo-political experts on NL, could there have been an alternative strategy by Israel?

How about avoiding the war in the first place by ending the Gaza blockade that has been on for 17 years...this is the root cause of the problem.

The fact is Israel only acted in RAGE and was not strategic. Who wouldn't react with what Hamas did but the mad rage and collective punishment rubbished any claim Israel has to right to self defence.

I know they fight every now and then but of recent there have been genuine moves towards peace on both sides spearheaded by US. But since last year when Bibi and his right wing coalition came to power...there have been fears a war is imminent.
Why?
The far right are for annihilation of Gaza, they want Gaza reoccupied, they want increases in settlement expansion, in short if they have their way Gaza will be a beach resort....and they have not disappointed..

Abeg help me ask am oo.

He is clearly ignorant of the fact that Hezbollah forces have been engaged in warfare in Syria for the last decade, while the IDF was pre-occupied with posting dance videos on TikTok.

Hezbollah battle-hardened experience and ever expanding arsenal of modern weapons can inflict a catastrophic defeat on Israel thereby posing an existential threat to the settler colony. It was this reality that prompted US to swiftly dispatch an aircraft carrier group to the Mediterranean - for the first time in history - to save Israel from a potential annihilation.

The Only thing that's restraining Hezbollah is the Lebanese economy which clearly can't withstand a war now.....and they don't want a repeat of its 2006 war with Israel that caused so much destruction and devastation that Hezbollah had to apologize to the Lebanese people.
Even at this Hezbollah has made it clear if Israel brings the war to them they are ready to face and defeat Israel

Botragelad:
Nice thread......
I think it is possible that the United States will still be the world power in the next 100 years. Large and diverse economy, which accounts for about a quarter of the global GDP, strong military presence, with hundreds of overseas bases and alliances with many countries, vibrant culture, which influences many aspects of global entertainment, media, education, and innovation, resilient political system, which allows for peaceful transitions of power and checks and balances among different branches of government.

They also have a history of adapting to new international realities, such as the rise of China, the challenges of climate change, and the threats of terrorism.
In reality, the United States faces many challenges and uncertainties in this 21st century, and it cannot take its global leadership for granted. It will have to compete with other emerging powers, such as China, India, Brazil, and maybe Nigeria which will have larger populations and economies by 2050.

Still, I see no one taking that position they hold!

But will eventually be toppled one day by probably China.
It isn't the first to be called world power....where are the Greeks, Romans today
