There are no valid excuses for underperformance. With the right support structure, even someone outside the field can succeed and deliver meaningful results. In fact, achieving success from a non-technical background would be a significant strength and would reflect positively on one’s leadership capacity.

At the end of the day, this is about national development, particularly in a critical sector like power. What is required is not excuses, but intentional leadership, strategic thinking, and measurable results. This is simply a matter of responsibility and common sense.
