Rotation of presidency was why two Yoruba men - Obasanjo and Falae - were made to contest for presidency in two apex political parties in 1998, so that a Yoruba would win.

Where is the lie
In PDP, south west has been President and north west as well south south, the only region that PDP hasn't given power is south east. Reason Igbos see Yorubas as betrayals for producing Tinubus in 2023 but it's the calculation in PDP

Meanwhile in APC because of the formation of APC, the south west is supposed to take over from Buhari based on the terms of the merger of parties
It's not a written rule but one politicians believe in and follow to the fullest, reason most northerners were against GEJ in 2015
