Factcheck0001: so if u are alive u can't make more money n build better house?
So u haven't seen people that rose from sickness then went to attain greatness?
If only u know d full name of MKO Abiola, u won't say this
He survived n I believed u know his story, K in his name means kashimawo meaning let's wait n watch if he will die
Omo see mediocrity that people support so as to defend their candidate
I know. But you could also not recover again. It's not a matter of mediocrity, there s no guarantee you will even have strength to do anything again or that you will ever recover.
Factcheck0001: so u are saying it's reasonable to die even when u have money in your account?
At least your family will have something to fall back on when you're gone. It's like you have a house that can be sold to cure an ilness but that will mean homelessness for your family, you will want to think things through
muyico: Save d child first How much is 500k Some family not enough for foodstuffs in a month
And it's a life saver for some families.
We had a similar dilema, to spend upwards of 20 million to cure a relative or take him home and be managing the illness in the hope that he will live long. I was shocked when the man died that they found 12 millions In his account. I guess he reasoned that if he spent all his money, what will his children use to survive?
Putindbutt: He said he would remove subsidy and float the naira too. Obidents were ashamed of him saying that because that's what they have been using to attack the President.
Shame will not allow them post the interview. Very poor outing for PO I dey shame for am
Bestmanfornow: I have visited many ShopRite outlets in different locations in Nigeria I realized that it's no longer what it use to be, what's going on?
Competition got tougher.
Many other big stores are coming up and giving ShopRite a run for their money
helinues: I don't want it to look like I am attacking Peter Obi for no meaningful reason, Nigerians should also watch his interview below and tell us how can this kind person be aspiring to be Nigeria president?
Just have to stop watching after some minutes cos the guy was not making any sense. Wonder how people dey think say this man has anything to offer Even Atiku is more articulate
immortalcrown: Is the good Samaritan willing to give the hospital his identity in case no one else shows up for the accident victim?
Nigerian database is too poor to support hospitals treating accident victims in certain situations. Many of you might claim that I am heartless. But isn't the nurse also a human? What if the victim fails to pay after treatment and the hospital mandates the nurse to pay the bill?
What if police later gets involved and detains the girl when no one else shows up for the victim? In Nigeria, some legal actions have been criminalised and poor people are the victims. For a nurse to boldly refuse to treat the victim, even when she knows she is being recorded, she must have had many bitter experiences in such cases.
What many don't actually realize is that road traffic accident is treated as a crime scene that's why if it results in fatality police investigation is required and to do that arrests will be made . But hospital staff are trained on the Procedure in cases like this, treat to save life first then involve authorities, these clearly ain't professional
Bede2u: silly. Look at the map i attached to you. Unintelligent chaps abound in this country SMH. No wonder the country is a mess. For a country to be truly diverse, no one culture, ethnic groups or religion will form more than 50%. Nigeria is an example of this, Australia, America, China and Canada are not. White Anglo-Saxons and Hans form overwhelming majority in those countries respectively.
Living in Australia doesn't make you intelligent you just confirmed that...... Why not tell us the meaning of diversity and stop grandstanding..... You can't force your opinion as the fact when it's proven otherwise. Diversity doesn't make use of %, every group matters , no matter their size
nairalanda1: As usual, I will vote for a third party that is not APC or PDP , or that has nothing to do with anyone from APC or PDP, and I won't go for APGA, SDP, either.
If Nigerians can vote for people not in PDPAPC, or is it APCPDP, I guarantee there may be some change eventually.
I never liked tinubu since 2005, when Gani was looking into his matter, and he was doing cunny man all over the place.
Much as this your stance is a noble one , I'm afraid you will just waste your vote. This was what I did when Gani contested for Presidency ,but I knew in my mind that he wasn't going to win but I satisfied my conscience.
The Coalition that will displace APC will have to be formed by former members of PDAPLPC for it to be effective, just like the Apc coalition in 2015.
phorget: Do they have bandits and bokoharam in those other diverse nations?
Worse They have terrorists, White supremacists, Nazis Pedophiles War criminals Human traffickers Colonialists And any crime you can think of exist there
Bede2u: lol, normally i no dey get strength comment for here again but this one off me lmao I live in Australia. Did you just say Australia is diverse? Even the mumu you quoted was even believing this thrash. Chai Australia is one of the least diverse countries in the world. Minorities here no reach 20% And by the way, China is nearly 90% same ethnic group (Han). You just don't have an idea what you are talking about. SMH spreading false information to reinforce a false notion
Oga you don't know the meaning of diversity even though you live in Australia, so look for the meaning first before making an argument that makes you look stupid. Your problem like the Op is the %of diversity. Even if it's 1%, it's diverse
Zeebuy: Aside India and china, all these other countries are mostly monotonous. They mostly speak same languages, have same religions and same mentality.
Besides, why do you guys seem to afraid of Nigeria dividing? Left to me, I would prefer if Nigeria was structured like the UK; different countries inside one federating unit
UK is United kingdom, it's united. Yes Nigeria can adopt the UK structure but the Country remain One
Kingdavid579: Hello everyone, hope you’re all doing well.
I have a serious question regarding the NYSC for a 27-year-old Nigerian graduate who’s also a self-employed businessman. This young man actually financed his entire education through his business, which means his livelihood and future depend heavily on its continued growth and stability. Now, the prospect of leaving this business to serve in the NYSC feels like a huge disruption—not only personally but also financially.
With the current state of Nigeria’s economy, where entrepreneurship and small business growth are highly encouraged as vital drivers for development, stepping away from his business at this crucial time could be disastrous for him. It might slow down or even halt the progress he’s made so far.
So here’s the main question: is there a legal and official way for him to obtain an NYSC exemption letter without having to change or modify his age on his NIN? He wants to be fully compliant with the law and avoid any complications, but also wants to protect his business and future.
If anyone has experience with this or knows the official procedure, please share your advice or insights. It would really help clarify the situation.
Thanks a lot in advance!
No He can only be exempted if he's older than 30 years. However he can try 1. Arrange for NYSC to post him to his "business" to serve.... Codedly Sha o 2. Arrange to serve in absentia, only go there when absolutely necessary...na the LO and CLO them e go need to settle...
Khallicopyro: 1. States and LGs should have more powers over their resources. States should extract and process whatever natural resources they have and give a certain percentage to the FG 2. Creation of more states and LGAs if possible
Resource Control for federating units will solve 80% our problems. The only challenge will be that stealing and corruption will increase unless nipped in the bud
MaziObinnaokija: The later will drive around go look for mishaps/accident victims and snap pics His GBAJUE go end in 2027
Dey take style gather Picture materials for campaign in 2027 Him no know say APC guys can see through all those shenanigans. Alia told him pointblank in Benue , don't come and play politics with people in IDP camps the Mugu begin cry and him followers begin wail all over the place
LordBiden: This is not Africa where leaders can do anyhow. There are strong institutions to checkmate.
Musk contributes alot to America,
These people are even more vengeful than africans They made him and can unmake him.... They won't bat an eyelid. Is he the only one contributing to America? All those tech guys are and they know not to mess with people in government
BlackViper: The United States, Canada, Australia and Brazil are not multi ethnic colonial outposts like Nigeria.
They are immigrant countries settled and developed by Europeans.
They're not like Nigeria which has over 400 different ethnic groups that were forced to live together as one country without the consent of the people.
China is dominated by one ethnic group, the Han Ethnic group which makes up 95% of the country's population. The other 6 ethnic groups share the remaining 5% of the population.
India has had a continuous existence either as a country or an empire for thousands of years. India is even mentioned in the Old testament of the Bible. They have a common language which they have spoken hundreds of years called Hindi and they have a common religion they practice which is older than Christianity which is called Hinduism.
So these countries don't meet the criteria for disintegration like Nigeria does.
What's the definition of diversity? Its a mix of different religion, cultures and languages. all my examples qualify, irrespective of the percentage...... Which is one of the reason for their greatness.
China encompasses taiwam, Hong Kong and Macau.
Your issue is whether the diversity is as a result of colonial expansion or natural occurrence.
What I'm concerned about is that they were able to manage their complexities, we too can
tommy589: Tell me the number of ethnic groups in each of the countries if comparable to Nigeria. Also let me know if a dominant group has not hold on to presiding over the countries you listed for period less than 85% after their independence.
You can as well as google Or grok. I don't owe you any explanation, DYOR
jmoore: It's same clown that banned Obi from visiting Benue state, saying he can't guarantee his security.
No be to answer Rev Fr. That governor dey behave like......
Oh, hes anti Obi
Now I understand why most of the comments here are against the governor, one even called him a fake reverend father, well that's what you get for mixing politics and the clergy.
But the Alia that was the firebrand reverend father that witches and wizards used to fear is now so powerless politically, too bad
tommy589: How many of the diverse nations are still standing? You won't believe If you were told in the mid 90s that one,not to talk of two southern presidents would emerged in the next 20 years. Empires always comes to an end. This one too go end, nothing dey hold am pass free oil money
EKONGKING: It's just a matter of time before Nigeria disintegrate, whether it takes 10, 20 or 50 years , it will disintegrate..
Southern tribes should be proactive in defending theirs interest when eventually the time comes
Na lie. Na only when una person no dey government we dey hear all this kind nonsense
Don't you get it? Nigeria isn't going to break up because the things holding it together are more than what wants to divide it. Is Nigeria the most diverse nation on earth? Of course not. For other diverse nations to exist and united means Nigeria can too
tuoyoojo: But you would agree with me at the rate at which they are loosing customers , they may not be able to keep up with payments if this trend continues for a few years....why they are still floating is because of mainly football matches they air
And the Viewing centres that depend on it . The moment the viewing centres get an alternative that really works well, it's bye bye to DSTV unless they crash their prices , which they can do because they control the market.
floss: Leaders come from the citizens, since Nigeria doesn’t have good leadership, it shows the citizens are the problem, you can’t be expecting a saint to come from the den of thieves
Leave Nigerians make them dey play o my brother. They want a saint to just emerge out of a den of thieves , just like that o
We are all stealing , only those who get caught are thieves
Until we acknowledge and begin to take steps to corrects this,na so things go remain. Even in the house of God , them dey steal so religious leaders are not the solution But Societal self awareness and consciousness will change the society But are we ready for that yet?
