I was excited initially when I heard that Nigerian security finally caught the unscrupulous element that called himself "Gentle The Yahoo", who held Okigwe and environs under siege for years without much effort by the security to get him arrested.


My joy was caught short when I learnt that Nigerian security only took the arrest of Gentle The Yahoo serious after Gentle kidnapped an Imo state lawmaker.


What this means is that the lives of ordinary Nigerians seems not to really matter to our security operatives, if they could only intensify effort to arrest this criminal after he adopted an Imo state lawmaker.


I say this because there was no way Gentle The Yahoo could have operated for years within Okigwe and evaded arrest if not that the Nigerian security intentionally allowed him to continue to perpetuate evil acts in Okigwe and environs for reasons best known to them.
