Veteran Nigerian writer, Gboyega Adelaja has reacted rather harshly after he saw four female presenters on TVC wearing 'wigs'.

Augustine Wallies, a Nigerian student has been murdered by his compatriots after he was accused of 'stealing' his roommate’s money in Cyprus.

According to the police, Augustine, a student of the Near East University, was hit on the head till he passed out and his body was dumped in a forest area in Haspolat on Friday, April, 19, 2019.

However, with the help of surveillance cameras, 12 people, including 9 Nigerians, have been arrested in connection with the murder and 3 of them have admitted their roles.

The suspects appeared in court in Lefkosa, today. One of the suspects told the police that the murder took place in the living room of an apartment. He added that the deceased was severely beaten and strangled.

Those arrested include: Eze Christopher, Ambrose Kelechi ONYEUKWU, Afamaefune Hanry UWADIBIE, Clement Ozuman MANUFUR, Christian Chukwuka ALZANI.

Others are: Gabriel Kelechi MUUKWE, Chinonso Chiemelie ONUE, Prince OGUNMANAM, Ifeany?chukwav Valentine EZE, Nana Fosu Awoture NKANSAH (Ghanaian), Wayne Ayanda MOYO (Zimbabwean), Amanda NYAMBAWE (Zimbabwean).

Two security officers beaten to death after their vehicle rammed into an Easter procession in Gombe State killing 8 people

A security official drove into a procession of Christian youth, celebrating Easter, killing at least eight people on Sunday night. The survivors among the youth then chased the security official and his passenger, caught up with them and lynched them.

The incident happened in Alheri junction, Biu road of Gombe State. The driver of the vehicle is said to be an official of the civil defence (NSCDC) while his passenger is said to be a police officer. Both men died from the beating.

Chairman of the Gombe State Battalion Brigade of the Boys Brigade, Isaac Kwadang, told reporters that he received information about the incident around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to him, the civil defence officer, though not on official duty, met the procession, exchanged words with the youth, and drove past them. He allegedly switched off his car’s full lights, reversed the vehicle and rammed into the procession killing eight people on the spot.

Many of the victims are members of the boys brigade. Kwadang said the youth chased the security officers, caught up with them and mobbed them to death. He said the youth are still being prevailed on not to continue with any violent reaction.

The Chief Medical Director of the Gombe State Specialist Hospital, Shuaibu Muazu, confirmed that some dead bodies from the incident have been deposited in the hospital while the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Godwin Omuko, confirmed the incident to journalists. He said his men were among those that brought the dead bodies to the hospital.

I got married to my wife few months back but she stays in another state due to her work and there had been measures for she to join me until now. One thing she had repeatedly complain about is my low sex drive as she has boosted of how other men in her life before are stallion but she doesnt want me to be one but be able to meet her libido demands. A trailer driver on Saturday, crushed a tricycle driver to death at Onuimo market, Obowo in Imo state.

It was learnt that the brake of the trailer failed making the driver unable to control the vehicle.

It then rammed into the tricycle, crushing the driver and destroying so many shops and goods at the market.

Boko Haram fighters attacked a village in Cameroon’s troubled Far North Region overnight and killed 11 civilians in their sleep, security sources told AFP on Friday.



“Boko Haram made an incursion at night in the Tchakamari area. The toll is 11,” a source close to security services in the area said, confirming a report from a member of a local self-defence militia. It was the deadliest Boko Haram raid in recent months in Cameroon.



The bodies were “charred”, the source close to security services said, adding that the attackers had burnt the village.



The dead included both children and the aged and began at around 10 pm and lasted until about 1 am Friday. The Boko Haram conflict began in 2009 in neighbouring Nigeria and has killed more than 27,000 people and left 1.8 million homeless in the country’s northeast.



The violence has spilt into neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
