I can't narrate my experiences, but I'll share some pieces of advice which will indirectly give a narrative of my experiences.

1. If you are a loner, especially with self esteem issues, completely get rid of the thought of going into a relationship.

Why?

You're at your most vulnerable in your low state, and when you find someone who comes to show you love, you have the tendency of developing obsession for that person.

When their love energy reduces at some point, you will know what frustration really is. The other person will get sick of you, until what they have is gone. It seems impossible until it becomes a reality.

2. If you're already in a relationship, the moment you notice your partner is still in touch with their ex, or that they're showing signs of interest in their ex, break that relationship.

Confront them, but that should be after breaking it up. Make sure you stand by your decision, because the chances are they'll try to get into your head and make you think that you're over-reacting.

They'll tell you nothing is up, but they'll keep doing the same thing, because they know you'll eventually return to them after much sweet talks and excuses.

3. As a man, never allow a woman know you love her more than she loves you. She'll consider you weak and take you for granted.

Many people think this to be false, but it isn't. I have experienced this, and it hurts a big bunch.

That's your own perspective of life. Well, noted.

Okay think of it this way, if you are totally dependent on someone for your upkeep, needs, bill, and any other amenities you so wish or desire, you will prolly stay glued to that person right?

I mean even if the person offends you, you will almost forgive easily because he/she is your dependant.

But the moment you become independent and you are able to afford everything that has made you stay glued to that person, your thinking mentality changes and you begin to see things from a different angle.

Things that would have been said to you ealier that probably would have been ignored will now that getting into you and you being to take note and act back.

Because you are not relying on that person, you can make your decisions without minding the consequences....


Same way when you are married to an independent wife.

* Poverty - Most girls theses days don't date for love, they would date you as long as you've proven that you can absorb their financial responsibilities. So if you fall in love with such girl and along the line, you can no longer satisfy her huge financial appetite, it would end in tears for you.

* High rate of sexual immorality - Today, everyone wants to have sex. Even girls of 13 nowadays have boyfriends. Now imagine such girl at 26, what kind of love do you want to show to her that would move her? Loving such person would only end in tears cos such girl would be emotionally damaged and would find it difficult reciprocating your love. Same goes for guys as well.

* When you love for the wrong reasons - If you fall in love with a girl because she has big boobs or big àss and overlook her character, it would end in tears. Same goes for guys. If you love a guy because he's financially loaded and overlook his womanizing or abusive nature, it would surely end in tears.

* When you love foolishly - You know that a guy or girl doesn't love you, but you just can't stop loving him/her. You keep sleeping with him even though you know he's just using you. You sacrifice all you have to please her, you even give up your future plans just to make her achieve hers, my brother, it would end in tears.

* When you fall in love with a player - You know this person has a trailer load of exes who are very much in contact with him/her, but you don't care, you're in love and she's your missing rib. Your heart would go missing as well cos it would end it tears for you.

In summary, love isn't painful, we just like loving the wrong people. Don't just fall in love blindly, access the person and be sure that he/she is compatible with you before falling in love, that way you would have reduced the shege you'll see by over 90%

A society of people who pursue enjoyment and authority -no matter the cost on general wellbeing- will only breed narrow minded and selfish citizens. A society ruled by selfish businessmen, power hungry politicians and selfish societal figures will ultimately transmit their selfishness and power-mongering behaviour to the masses.

Poverty is a serious disease on its own, but it can actually be overcome, with serious determination, commitment and unrelenting hard work. Yes, you can pull yourself out of poverty if you want.

Great points there. Relationship and marriage is a serious business for serious people. It's not for people who are not prepared for the challenges ahead.

People are no longer willing to be patient or tolerant of each other, that's why relationships and marriages break up easily.

Many people are now selfish and unforgiving to their partners. People are simply not caring for each other anymore.

And social media plays a very negative role in influencing many people's behavior negatively.

Now the problem I see in Nigerian Politics is that many politicians are not adequately prepared for public office and they have no genuine programs or anything tangible to offer the people.

So that is why we see many politicians go into public office and fail to perform. They perform woefully and disappoint the people.

This problem can be avoided by screening candidates thoroughly to weed out the unprepared ones before they go into office to disappoint Nigerians and cause more hardship for the people.

So why does love hurt so much

... And it's difficult to see any nation where only the rich exist, but in Africa it's a different ball game entirely, because the level of poverty is quite high.

It's the same sex outside marriage that destroys many homes. But people keep engaging in it.

It's true you can't please everybody, but a good leader will definitely perform well no matter how difficult it is to please everyone.
