Good afternoon all the gurus in the house, I was deny B2 visa at Abuja consulate this morning, I will update the interview when I get home, am still in the bus heading to Ibadan

so I got to the embassy at 8:30am exacta, do all the normal checking and low it was my turn,
Me: good morning ma'am
VO:good morning, your passport please, (I don't actually hear all this but I was watching her lips and I know that's the first thing she will ask for)
Me: pass the passport to her and telling her at the same time that I am an hearing impair person, that I can't hear her but I could read and talk, so I do like her to write. But she didn't write but speak louder on the microphone and I was lucky to hear
VO :where are you going?
Me:Hollywood Florida, and trying to explain that I will touch down first at Pembroke Pines where my aunty stay, that she is d one that will take me to the hospital at Hollywood, I haven't said 3words out of this when I hear
VO : for what purpose?
Me:for medical, I want to do cochlear implant
VO,:typing.... And then look up and ask something which I didn't hear but I calculate she was asking for the support document
Me: hand over the invitation letter from the specialist and my medical records obtain from my local hospital (UCH)
VO,:looking at it and typing, hand it over back
VO:who is paying?
Me: I couldn't hear her, she repeat herself and I still lost it, so she use her hand to gesture like one counting cash, so I quickly transform she was asking who is paying
Me:my aunty, saying her name, I haven't finish but saw her typing and then look up and told me something I couldn't hear, then she handover a white paper and my passport
So I read the first sentence you have been found intelligible....... Blah blah and I went to grab plantain chips and cold water
Please I want to re apply, and from our conversation and the time she made her decision, I think my aunty staying in Miami double as the sponsor is a red flag, please expert what do I need to add or remove?

1. You may call in before and ask ahead for a sign language person
2.You may tell the vo that you need a Yoruba interpreter when u meet face to face.
3. You can also communicate by writing

Yes, thanks my lady, I just wanted to know if I will have to inform anyone before meeting the V O, or its the V O I will tell, I don't sign, I can speak and read, so I think, if the V O write I can talk, I am a graduate, it was the hearing aids I started using when I was going for my nysc that deteriorate everything,.... Good morning all the guru in the house for the job you are doing here, I am the guy that ask some month back that I am an hearing impaired person, my appointment was canceled because I apply early at Abuja embassy and the appointment code was not change which made me loose the first application, I have to pay another 64k,please my question is, is it the V O I will tell I want him/her to write because I can't hear very well, I only watch lips to catch my mother tongues (Yoruba) or I would have met with anyone before meeting the V O, my question in summary who will I inform about my hearing loss for effective communication, am nervous because of my poor communication, please don't mind my long and poor write up, I need my hearing back to get a life of my own, I want to do cochlear implant in Hollywood, hearing aids has turn me deaf... well done everyone for the good work here,please i have an interview on the 21st of this month at lagos consulate,i have hearing loss(mipairment)so i want to go and do cochlear implant in the US,my cousin handling my visa application want to speak for me during the interview but the embassy does not agree,please will there be any help for me in the embassy as i cannot communicate very well because of my hearing loss

dear vo,please my interview is 21st of this month,my cousin is the one handling my application,he is also an agent so my sponsor which is my aunty direct me to him, because i want to go for medical treatment in miami,he propose to speak for me during the interview,because i have hearing loss(impairment)so iwant to go and do cochlear implant,the embassy refuse him to speak for me during the interview,i cannot hear people but am not totally deaf,please will their be any help for me during the interview as i cannot communicate very well because of my hearing defects. thanks in anticipation

Sorry about that. But it's only God who knows if you will get a visa. What you can do is help yourself by being clear, honest and precise.

Hello DIIGZ. The qualifications for visas for medical use are the same as for any tourist, with the added requirement that the applicant be able to fund their treatment in full. Medical care in the US can be very expensive, so you may want to consider treatment options in other countries. We don't discuss chances on this forum.

My sister in the US will fund it,just scared of all this One need tO have some ties back home
