A Nigerian lady has confronted the management and staff of a hotel for not preventing the arrest of some guests lodged there.

She alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) barged into the hotel and arrested and detained a few lodgers.

In a video making the rounds online, she can be heard yelling at the hotel staff for not stepping in when the EFCC operatives showed up at the premises.

She claimed the customers that were arrested were patrons and have been staying at the hotel for three years.

However, as she was speaking in the lounge, the hotel staff could be seen engaging in other activities ignoring her rants as some guests walked around the premises.

Following the confirmation of the completion of the deal for Ukranian winger Mykhailo Mudryk Chelsea has announced the jersey number of the 100 million euros record signing of the blues.

Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined the blues from Shakhtar Donetsk, was unveiled today, Sunday, January 15, 2023, in front of thousands of fans at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea's premier league fixture against Crystal Palace.

It was revealed that Mykhailo Mudryk would wear the number 15 jersey at Chelsea till the end of the season, hinting that the 21-year-old might make his debut against Liverpool in the premier league. Popular comic relief actor, Abiodun Ayoyinka alias Papa Ajasco, debunks the rumour of his death after being mistaken for Femi Ogunrombi who passed on.

Femi Ogunrombi was reported to have passed on in the early hours of January 15th by Dr Husseini Shaibu on Twitter.

The late Femi joined Papa Ajasco & Company, created and produced by Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP), to temporarily portray the role of the supposed character between 2005 and 2006 as a stand-in for Abiodun, who presently plays the role.

Following the announcement of his death, many fans of the show mistook Abiodun for Femi, hence a debunk video about his death.

The verdict was announced by the Chester Crown Court on Friday, January 13th, 2023 after five months since the case made its first appearance in court. The jury did not reach a verdict on a further rape charge and a separate charge of attempted rape, meaning he will return to the same court on June 26th, 2023.

Mendy was on trial along with co-accused, Louis Saha Matturie, and between them the pair had been accused by 13 women of sexual offences. Both men have denied all the offenses.

However, the jury were not able to reach an agreement on a count of rape and attempted rape. This means that the prosecutor has seven days to take a decision on the situation.

The incidents happened at Mendy’s mansion between October 2018 and August 2021.

Actress, Mercy Johnson has, for the first time, opened up about her health struggles.

The mother of four, while speaking on the latest episode of her YouTube cooking show, revealed she had a cancer scare just six months after the birth of her fourth child.

Mercy, who had veteran actress Joke Silva on the show, had asked about her husband, Olu Jacobs’, health, and that led to the conversation about Mercy’s own health struggles.

She narrated how she was put on medication for life and had her thyroid removed.

“… Odi [her husband] and I have actually been here and I have never discussed it where we had, like uhm, a scare. I had a cancer scare in quote and I had like my thyroid removed. And it was like a journey for us because we had kids.

My last was six months at that time and then we kept on saying “okay, we have to understand that this is the new us, let’s go get the surgery done”. And then we got there, they said I was going to be on medication for the rest of my life and it was a reality that we had to sit down.

You know, them giving me a timing and telling me you can’t miss your medication. Once you wake up that day, that’s the first thing. Telling me all of the side effects. So I’m reconciling with this you’re saying, it’s the truth. At the point you realize this is where we are, let’s grow from here, let’s live in this comfort zone.” She said.
