I saw the story on Noel abingwas Facebook group, the guy was rejected after ppr, he posted screenshots of the mails they sent ircc told him to disregard the previous ppr mail that it was an error. Maybe it was handled by a novice visa officer makano: And what was the reason for the rejection, you should back up your claims with fact...
Its easy for anyone to just come here and say you can be rejected after PPR..
Final decision
Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application. Check your messages below for details
The above message is what you get when Original Passport request drops in your profile.. Meaning for you to get that, it shows you have met the IRCC requirement to study in Canada..
So getting a refusal after PPR is totally the applicant's fault and not IRCC, probably the applicant submitted a fake or falsified Passport, account statement et.c.
Its not in the operation of IRCC to refuse an application they have taken months to review before granting approval for a study permit...

I made contact they said reapply jayifeanyi1234: You do you want to reapply? Why not contact them with a detailed explanation of what transpired between you and your DLI to know what they will say, because, from what you wrote, it was not your fault. If IRCC say reapply, then you can. My understanding of what they wrote on their site is if YOU WANT to change DLI, then you have to reapply. In this case, nor be you wan change nah.
Cheers! |

Thanks but I paid full tuition and no luck with the school they just replied with a mail on how to request for a refund, because i didn't get visa early and it was first come first served. I'll try and draft an appeal letter asap and send to IRCC viviangogos: Sorey about your situation. First, have you tried all channels to contact the school management and everyone that may be able to help you in the school? Send your approval and plead with them. This kind of rule is yoo stringent plus one seat cannot make the class overly crowded na. There was a lady in this thread that had similar issue but she was eventually accepted. Her own case was even worst cause she did not pay her first semester fee and her seat was cancelled. I read she is in Canada now, cant rember her moniker. If the school part does not work, If I were in your shoes, irrespective of the rules by IRCC, I will go ahead to do a detailed letter of appeal to them. Reason is that you are not willingly changing your DLI but the school condition is making you do this. Your situation may change though. But then if after all, you do not get any headway, then go ahead with your application. The earlier, the better. I believe they have reviewed your situation, so Gods willing, it will not take time for your positive decision to be out. And for the LOE and SOP, you can do both. One to explain the re application, and the other a detailed study plan, cause chances are that a new VO may review this time and you must cross all Ts and dot all Is.
All the best!!! |

I informed the school but no luck with that, and by the next resumption date my visa will expire. I sent IRCC mails last week but no response from them yet makano: Hello Dimeji
Have you informed your school of your PPR? Inform them of your PPR so they can defer you to a nearer resumption date..
If they are still not ready to give you admission despite your PPR, then send a message to IRCC about the situation on ground as this isnt your fault at all.. Send a message to IRCC if your school still refuses...
Wait for a message from IRCC before taking any step.. They can tell you to get another another LOA from another school with same course with your PPR, since the fault wasn't really from you but from them...

Thanks for your reply, I applied April and got ppr by September but my college revoked my offer due to unavailability of seats, I have changed DLI but based on IRCC's rules I have to apply for another study permit. So I'm applying just because I want to change my DLI but same program and duration ,Iguess this should be explained in my LOE and I'm thinking of Editing my initial SOP by replacing the college names . makano: Hello Dimeji
If you are a first time applicant, SOP is enough to convince the Visa Officer that you are a genuine student that wanna study in Canada//
If you are a returning applicant, you will need to write an LOE to tackle the refusal reasons of concerns of the Visa Officer..
So Yes, as a second time applicant, you will need to submit both..

Its a one year program and the letter is not valid till their next intake nairagrounds: Why don't you wait for their next intake if your letter would still be valid till then? Nobody wants to go through the hassle of reapplying again, and I believe you don't too. |

I applied to st Clair college for September 2021, submitted visa app, college didn't hold the program in September they deferred it to January ,i got ppr in September 14, college revoked January admission on September 15 because seats are full and they can't deffer an admission more than once , I've gotten a new admission into Fanshawe college for the same program for May 2022, planning to reapply asap but my issue is how I'll go about explaining all of this , and filling the questionnaire for a new application. Jay316: why did you change DLI? |

I just need advice in this second application from anyone who has applied more than once, do i submit both a SOP and LOE, GodsGabby: Since you changed DLi after approval, that means you will need to apply afresh and no one knows how long it will take.
The reapplication i was talking about was a refusal which was addressed and God helped it scale through with speed. |

The college said they're not offering my program for May 2022, and i was using an agency for the visa application and they advised me to get a new dli with the same program asap and reapply nd that was what ircc Said on their website that if my study visa has been approved and I change dli while outside Canada I should reapply lobinche101: What exactly are they saying. You need an expert idea t this level because I dont want you to loose your PPR knowing fully well that the only condition u can lose it is if u change DLI. let's find a way. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Dimeji0822: 11:12am On Oct 11, 2021 |
The college have not veen very responsive or helpful so far, and i won't be allowed to board a flight to Canada without notifying IRCC of the situation, lobinche101: If i was in your situation.....
I wont think twice than to find a way for my previous school to get my an admission slot for either Jan May or Sept next year. I'm sure all this are still possible. Why risk another PPR when God has bless you already. Or at worst stick to any course in your former DLI updating about any development but pls dont change DLi. When u land in Canada you can change whatever you like and all I saw from here was that you will just need to inform IRCC about your change in DLI. Pls dont change DLI as you will start a new application and your faith you dont know again. |

Good day guys
My study permit for January 2022 has been approved and my passport stamped but my college revoked my admission due to unavailability of seats, I have gotten a new admission to a different college for May 2022 and IRCC website states that I should apply for a new study permit if I want to change DLI from outside Canada and i won't be allowed to board without notifying them of the change.
Will this be like a fresh application or am I just submitting my new admission letter and tuition fee receipt?, I know I'll have to show proof of funds and i even paid full tuition for the former college (I'll attach that receipt), Also do I explain my situation in my study plan or letter of application?
I appreciate your advice thank you. |
