1, Wike hands over to acting governor who is the current speaker.

2, Wike having lost his immunity against prosecution is immediately arrested by EFCC. The can of worms is opened and Nigerians and Rivers people for the first time have a long real hard look at the highly corrupt and evil character called Wike. His ratings goes downhill very fast.

3,Amaechi as minister of Niger Delta holds a stakeholders meeting with militants and other leaders of Rivers state. Many of them begins to openly and secretly denounce Wike.

4, Members of the Rivers state house of assembly are polarized. Many of them decamps to APC to save their necks.

5, Meanwhile Wike is busy fighting to clear himself of graft allegations.

6, Chief E. K Clark throws his weight behind Dakuku Peterside.

7, Dakuku begins to gain the upper hand.

8, The APC governor of Bayelsa state Chief Timipre Sylva comes to Rivers state to help campaign for Dakuku.

9, Election is held, Dakuku wins by a landslide!

Peterside can't win the Rivers gubernatorial election simply due to the reson that Rivers isn't an APC state. The only reason why APC held Rivers under Ameachi is because he DEFECTED to the party. Ameachi was elected under the PDP platform, and his defection in no way mirrored the general riverian sentiment. With this being said, why can't people understand that Peterside can't win beacause his party influence in Rivers is close to nil. Look at the composition of the state's legislature; it's PDP dominated. Now I'm not saying that the election wasn't rigged, that's a complete different matter. However, if we are going to go on a witch hunt against alleged rigging, then the process should be thourough, and no ome should be speared or overlooked. APC governors should also be scrutinised. I'm sure if the same strict standard was applied nationwide (and not only applied to Wike) Bujari wouldn't have become president of our dear Nation ( Not with the huge amount of underage voters who voted for him in the North). The same argument applies for Jonathan as well, rigging was also down in his favor in the states in which he had a stronghold.
Sha no be as if any of dis be any of my concern, just giving nairaland my take on events.

Amaechi's lack of a political structure is his greatest undoing.
He has been in power for 16 years and has no solid structure of his own.
From his days as a legal government chairman, Wike w h all his thuggish tendencies has had a well oiled machinery.

Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress
(APC) in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, has
received the endorsement of the Ikwerre Supreme
Council of Traditional Rulers in Isiokpo, the spiritual
and traditional headquarters of the Ikwerre ethnic
nationality.


The Council equally declared Dr. Peterside the sole
governorship candidate for the Ikwerre nationality for
the February 28 election. The Council comprises First
Class and all Government-recognised traditional
rulers in the four Ikwerre local government areas in
Rivers State which comprise Obio/Akpor, Port
Harcourt City, Emohua and Ikwerre.


The Council, which declared that its endorsement of
Dr. Peterside, was out of its resolve to uphold equity
and justice by ensuring that the riverine section of the
state produced the next governor, emphasised that by
its action, no other governorship candidate would
receive its endorsement. The paramount rulers
enjoined all Ikwerre sons and daughters to support Dr.
Peterside come February, 28.


While addressing the Council and other Ikwerre
stakeholders, Dr. Peterside, who was received by Eze
Blessing Wagor, JP, Nye Weli Isiokpo, other members
of the Council and a mammoth crowd of APC
supporters, underscored the importance of Rivers
people making the right and necessary decision in
choosing the next governor for the state. “Your
Majesty, we are about to make another decision as to
who will be the governor of Rivers State. Ikwere as an
ethnic nationality has a very critical role to play at
this point in time in the life of Rivers State. As
custodians of Ikwere culture, Ikwerre values, at a time
of national morale crisis, we expect the custodians of
our culture and value system as traditional rulers and
fathers to lend their voices of reason so that the
people can take the right path.

the Ikwerre to maintain their dignity in the face of
politicians ready to buy people’s conscience.


In response, Eze Iriebe, who spoke through the Vice
Chairman and traditional ruler of Akpor kingdom, Eze

Excellency-in-waiting, on behalf of Ikwerre traditional
