Pls house, it's getting worse now. A lot of things happened between us today, this morning.

I need anyone who knows the procedure to file divorce proceedings in a Customary Court because I want to file for divorce & serve her papers.

Yesterday morning while I was away she broke into my room which I locked and ransacked everywhere & scattered all my clothes, I don't know what she's looking for.

This morning she rained unprintable words and abuses on me and my family including calling my mum "ashawo". She's provoking me to beat her but I will never beat her.

I told her since she hates me and also hates my mum there's no way it can work out between us. She now said I must marry her & pay her bride price by force by fire.

I understand we can severe the union under customary law since we've lived together for two years.

Anyone who knows the procedure should let me know.

As for my mum, I'm already working on bringing her to my house soonest.

sincerely I am not married, but I live in a house with similar situation. any body that ask you to marry the lady is your ENEMY. I repeat your ENEMY. it is not a happy home. you will all think that you can put your differences aside but guy na lie. the house will be miserable to you and your child too. if you continue you will be a forever sad fellow. you have lost interest and she doesn't want to be broke( which is impossible for an average Nigerian)so let her go. bring your mum and be sending child care fare to her monthly. you will be happy and she will get the chance of looking for a next rich suitor or else she will torment you with the "if not for genotype". i am commenting as a child who suffered from such cases. guy there is no managing in marriage. leave her now!!

I always have my own concept of being a real lady which before entering university I was thinking they were wrong until when I saw what other ladies hold as being " the real lady or will I say ideal lady" concept. it was crappy! I always wonder why on earth would one be this delusional. Yes! delusional ( or maybe selfish)because with everything going on in the society operating such concept can only give you a ride.
You may be wondering what those " ideal concept "are , here are some:
1. " I can't kill myself, a man will surely take care of me" : seriously?! I hear this statement from many ladies. Apart from your parents , the next person to take care of you is yourself not a man. No man is a day care nanny , that will clothe you, feed you and even carry you around for free because you look cute or think it's his responsibilities as the guy around. Guess what? he has needs to be taken care of too. would you be his nanny also? I am sure we all know the answer. so why imposing what you don't like on others . you need to shade off that statement from your mouth and take charge of your life
2 . " I can't marry or date a poor guy" : it's your choice my dear, but do you know that most rich people started from somewhere. so if you can't help with the foundation I don't see how you will manage to get to the top floor. no one is stupid my dear. the rich guy playing around with you have a another lady who was with him "then "around the corner. so dust yourself and be part of the producers group not the consumers because you dare not complain about the end products.
3. " I can do whatever I want besides he loves me" : that is silly. No love should be taken for granted. the same guy you will be maltreating today maybe the only guy you will be happy with forever. so why be with an animal in a human skin because of the properties you foresee than the joy you will have. real ladies love and respect whoever respect them.
4. " he should look for a way to make it work" : because you are his boss right? most ladies would have their boyfriend or husband who are in crisis. The best thing to do is to look for solutions together. even without contributing anything physically, your morale support is more than enough. that shows you care and understand not to pressurize him to make things work.
5 . " how do you expect me to spend my money on him" : no one needs your money so don't accept his too. therefore when going out on a date, movies, shopping or using his car, come along with your cash or card to pay your bills and his personal service for accompanying you.
6. " I have to be in charge. I can't let any one control" : lol. no wonder you are still searching ( oops) . if you want to be in charge, you can apply for nursery and primary school teacher position. in real life , you have to step down .of course no one wants a zombie, your opinions are welcome but don't force them.
7. " how dare he talk to me like that" : you started it. if you don't allow your mouth to run anyhow , you wont receive the same dosage of your words. consider other people's feelings so that yours won't be hurt too.
And to the married ladies, allowing all those skinny things outside to advice you on how to live your married life will only ruin you. if you are desperate for advice, look for an elderly woman who have an insight on what marriage is to help .
I respect hardworking ladies ( not the bossy feeling independent type) they are jewel to any man . so why can you be one ?
