As reactions to the development continues, this 2016 radio interview with Governor Ajimobi who had just been re-elected for his second term in office re-surfaced online.

In the interview, Governor Ajimo visited the Yinka Ayefele Music House and granted an interview to Fresh FM located inside the building where he revealed that some people within his cabinet were urging him to demolish the radio station because Yinka Ayefele does not support them. He was quoted saying;

A father strangled his two daughters, before stuffing their bodies in an oil tank and killed their pregnant mom, five days before couple’s planned party to reveal their new baby’s gender.

The monster dad strangled his two young children before hiding their bodies along with that of their pregnant mother in oil tanks.

Lawyers for 33 year old Christopher Lee Watts, filed a motion on Friday in Weld County, Colorado, asking for DNA to be taken from the necks of the little girls’ bodies, and it strongly suggested they were strangled.

There has been no official cause of death announced in the case, after the bodies of Shanann Watts, 34, and the couple’s two daughters, four-year-old Bella and three-year-old Celeste, were recovered on Thursday from the oil field where Christopher worked.

Colorado is one of 12 states that does not bring murder charges for the homicide of an unborn child, and Christopher faces only three murder counts.

Christopher is being held without bail and faces three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of evidence tampering.

Max Lomas, the friend who discovered Bobbi Kristina Brown unconscious in her bathtub in 2015, after an overdose, has reportedly died of an apparent drug overdose.

TMZ reports that Lomas was rushed to the hospital after he was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor at a friend’s house in Mississippi on Wednesday, August 15.

Along with Bobbi Kristina’s then-boyfriend Nick Gordon, Lomas found Bobbi Kristina unresponsive in her tub in January 2015.

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was subsequently hospitalized and placed in a medically induced coma. She died six months later in July at the age of 21.

Back in February 2012, Houston was also found dead in her bathtub at the Beverly Hills hotel. She was 48 years old.

There was drama at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (formerly Anambra State University) on Thursday when a male lecturer at the department of Mass Communication stunned Ph.D students by walking into their class looking like a woman.

The lecturer was to teach a topic on “Culture shock and gender issues,” so he decided to demonstrate this by dressing like a transgender (man to woman).

As he walked into the classroom the students were visibly uncomfortable with his appearance and one of them wanted to walk out of the class in apparent discomfort at the sight of the male lecturer suddenly making up to look female.

The lecturer observed initial reactions of the students before going ahead to teach them as a ‘transgender’.

One of the students who was pleased with the lecturers dressing was allowed to take photos of the drama during the lecture and the photos went viral shortly after.

Though the lecturer’s drama in class did not go down well with some other students in the department who felt disgusted by the transgender part of the story while some others hailed the lecturer for his creative teaching techniques.

Big Brother Naija Finalist, Tobi Bakre has been accused of buying fake Instagram followers, and he acknowledged that his follow list was tampered with.

A Twitter user took out time to go through the list of his followers on the social media app, and noticed some strange looking followers. The user sharing supposed screenshots of the fake Instagram accounts following him, with the caption;

"Well done sir!! It’s not a good look on you @tobibakre. For the love of what you stand for, stop buying followers.”

Tobi Bakre then reacted, acknowledging that his Instagram follow was ‘tampered with’, but state that social media following has no correlation to success in life. He wrote:

A 33 year old man has been arrested in South Africa for allegedly raping his neighbours pregnant goat.

The man appeared in the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, August 14, for the offence.

The suspect would remain in custody until his next court appearance at a date still to be determined, according to police spokesperson Captain Samuel Sebola.

He was arrested on charges of bestiality on Friday morning after he allegedly raped the female goat the previous evening.

His neighbour, and owner of the goat, Knowledge Khumalo said he heard the goat making strange noises around 20:00 on the evening in question.

When he woke up the next morning, he went to check in on the kraal and found the goat was missing. Khumalo said;

“I went around the community looking for the goat without any success,”

“Later when I returned home, I found the goat was back. However, it looked unwell.”

As he was examining the goat, a man approached Khumalo and asked whether he was the goat’s owner.

“He then told me that he had been at the suspect’s shack that morning and had found the goat in his bed.”

Community members, including CPF members, later converged at the suspect’s shack where they confronted him.

The man is said to be bricklayer by profession and was reportedly paid R4 500 earlier on the day of the alleged rape for work.

Khumalo said he was shattered to see the raped goat in such a sad state.

The goat has been taken in by the SPCA for medical treatment.

SPCA inspector Mishack Matlou said the incident was the “highest form of animal cruelty he has experienced”.

We have just received news that popular health advocate, Blessing Timidi-Digha has lost her two kids, Itunu and Damilare in a fire outbreak.

According to sources close to the Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) for adolescent girls advocate, Blessing lost two of her kids to fire in a day. A Fire Response team that was to respond to the fire allegedly said there was no water.

At 17, Blessing Timidi-Digha was pregnant, single, and overcome with shame. Because Nigeria remains largely conservative and religious; sex is hardly discussed, and sex education is absent from many homes and schools, she quickly became the subject of finger-pointing.

According to a report on the advocate, it was the lowest ebb of her life, and even led her to two suicide attempts. But with her parents’ support, she gave birth and returned to school.

Her experience made Blessing realize the dearth of available information on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) in Nigeria. So AGCDSI was born.

Nollywood actor Yemi Solade is fed up of Nigeria and has cried out that he may start planning on relocating to another country with his family.

Solade noted that although some of his Nollywood colleagues seem to be doing well for themselves, they may be into other things asides from acting.

“For the first time in a long while, I gave up on Nigeria. I might decide to relocate to another country and this is what I always criticise my colleagues for.

Nigeria is killing me. I have been so patriotic, but I think I have to face the reality now. I have a job that is not putting meals on my table the way it should and I don’t want my children to suffer.

It is terrible if we continue to lose our best minds to other countries. I don’t want to have money like Femi Otedola; I don’t pray for it and I don’t need it at my age. All I need are the basic things in life, which I can use to take care of myself, my wife and my children.

“I struggle to get good jobs; I have done my best. I should have left Nigeria 20 years ago, but I stayed to contribute my quota to its development.

I am getting older; I am older than some of the governors in Nigeria and I cannot be running to them for survival. I cannot steal money like some people do and we all know that stealing is not good. I pay my bills with the pay I get from producers, but it is tiny. I am bleeding inwards right now and it is not good for my age. I have to begin to look elsewhere for survival.

“I am a thoroughbred professional. I don’t know what my colleagues do, though I see most of them running after people in government.

I cannot serve one or two senators who will probably give me a jeep or any other car. Anytime I want to travel, the senator takes care of my ticket also. But that is not my orientation. I don’t need to run to anyone when I have a job.

There is no way anyone will tell me that an actor who drives a luxury car gets the money from acting. Inasmuch as I don’t want to go into details, we all know this. Once our profession is attractive, actors don’t need to struggle to pay their bills.

I have been an actor for over four decades; so, if I ask for N2m for a role, is it too much?

Wizkid and Davido only perform on stage for a few minutes and they attract millions of naira. I am happy for these young men, but it is not the case for actors who spend long hours on set.

The Yoruba arm of the industry is not as lucrative as you think. For me, I just stick to the job and I depend on whatever I earn as an actor from producers. From the look of things, the few of us who started early in the industry are the ones suffering.

I am happy for the likes of Odunlade Adekola, who came afterwards and they feel he is better. Since the younger people share the resources with each other, what do I do?

I am not a producer and I don’t think there is anything wrong about that. Once a producer calls you and you demand a certain amount, they run away and bring in their untrained friends.

The actors who are getting it right should tell us how they have been able to live very comfortable. I have people that I go to for one help or the other, but they trivialise it and I can’t be begging you because I want you to invest in a project.

Once you go to them for assistance, they can ask you to link them up with one actress.”

The Texas-based Nigerian woman, Toyin, whose photos have gone viral as the person that committed suicide in Lagos, has reacted to the rumours.

Toyin Texas, in a post on her Instagram page @tkfashion_dallas_tx, debunked the rumour that she is dead.

She shared the photo below and wrote;

"Am alive, and I will leave long on earth #Emi ki yio ku iku kan biko se yiye #love#yall"

In a second Instagram post, she wrote:

Last Sunday, a woman allegedly dived into the Lagos Lagoon.

It was learnt that the woman had around 5pm plunged into the lagoon after coming down from a cab.

Some motorists had initially said a Ford Explorer SUV left on the Third Mainland Bridge was owned by the victim.

However, investigations by rescue workers showed that the vehicle was owned by a first responder.

A source said:

“The vehicle at the scene of the incident did not belong to the woman who jumped into the lagoon. Actually, the woman boarded a separate cab to the scene before jumping into the lagoon around 5pm on Sunday. The driver of the SUV saw her and tried to rescue her, but he could not.”

The LASEMA General Manager, Adesina Tiyamiyu, said:

“We can state categorically that the owner of the Ford Explorer was not the one who jumped into the Lagoon. We have spoken to the man and his wife and they are both hale and hearty.

However, the man, who drove the vehicle, confirmed that he saw a woman plunge into the Lagoon. So, efforts are ongoing to recover her body. It will be premature to say anything further on the case.”

The next day, however, photos of Texas-based Nigerian lady, Toyin, went viral from a particular social media handle as the lady that committed suicide.

The social media handle even shared alleged private conversations between Toyin and her supposed lover and also their nude photos.

The story was that Toyin who was married with three kids and lived in Dallas Texas, United States of America, allegedly jumped into the Third Mainland bridge following the discovery of her alleged sexual relationship with another man by her husband, said to be a certain Tunde.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has however, called on residents of the state with useful information concerning the alleged suicide that took place on the 3rd Mainland Bridge lagoon in Lagos over the weekend to please come forward with such information.

LASEMA General Manager, Adesina Tiamiyu, says the agency is yet to receive any concrete information regarding the incident making the round on social media.

Tiamiyu said that anybody with useful information of any missing person should report to the nearest police station or any office of the agency.

“We are still carrying out our search and rescue at the lagoon. Both the Marine Police and the Lagos State Waterway Authority are still there to see if there is any floating body,’’ Tiamiyu said.

An Europe-based Nigerian man and his wife have been arrested for allegedly beating his brother’s wife to coma.

Incident happened last weekend in Lagos, at Ajao estate over suspicion that the brother’s wife was having an extra-marital affair.

As at yesterday, the victim, Bela Omeneka, with visible marks of brutality all over her body and bloodshot eyes, was still unable to walk without being aided by her siblings.

Trouble reportedly started for 29-year-old Bela after her husband, Felix Omeneka, based in Amsterdam, instructed her to live in his family’s house at 1, Maduafa street, off Chief Vincent Eze street, Ajao estate, shortly after they got married in 2016.

She stated that her stay in the family’s house became uncomfortable following series of quarrels between her and her in-laws, adding that it came to an unbearable height on Saturday, as she was beaten between 11 pm and 4 am by her brother-in-law, Kelly Omeneka and his wife, Mercy.

Vanguard reports that Bela, narrating her plight in an inaudible voice, said:

“The first attack on me occurred in May 2017, by Kelly’s wife, shortly after I started staying with my in-laws.

But my mother-in-law intervened and said I should forgive her. My in-laws did not hide their dislike for me.

When my husband visited, I complained to him but he pacified me to stay with them, saying he did not want me to live alone. Shortly after he left, I was attacked again.

When I could not bear the attack and continued threat, I went to my elder sister’s place in Lekki.

By December last year, Kelly told me to travel with them to the village but I declined on the ground that my husband was not around and also because I had an interview. He attempted to beat me but I left for my sister’s place out of fear.

When my husband called, he told me to go back to where he left me and I obeyed and returned last Saturday to his family’s house.

On arrival, she stated that she observed that some of her personal belongings had been stolen. She said when she confronted Mercy, Kelly’s wife, a quarrel which degenerated into a fight ensued.

Groaning in pains, she continued:

“During the fight, she called one of my brothers-in-law, Benjamin on phone. Benjamin, in turn, contacted Kelly to come and chase me out of the house. Immediately he arrived, he met his wife fighting me, he did not separate us.



Rather, he went for a horse whip and started flogging me all over my body and at the same time, hitting me in the ribs. He said he would leave an indelible mark on the face I usually pose on Facebook and that he would also kill me.

He accused me of bewitching his brother to the extent that he does not look at the face of another back in Europe.

A member of the family called and instructed them to seize my marriage certificate so that I won’t have any vital document to prove that the union was legal. He also seized my phone and dragged me out of the building.

All I could remember at that point was seeing an oncoming car approaching the direction he dumped me, as I passed out.”

Concerned neighbours were said to have revived Bela but none of them could take the battered woman in, as she was left by the side of her in-law’s gate until 4 am.

Continuing, Bela said that Kelly opened the gate for her, and ordered her to pack her things out of the house, alleging that she was promiscuous. She said:

“He told me that they had a directive from their mother not to allow me in until I went to the village to swear an oath of fidelity. A concerned neighbour put me in a cab that took me to my sister’s place, from where I was rushed to the hospital”, she said in tears.

But when the 43-year-old man at the centre of controversy, Kelly Omeneka, was approached, he denied taking part in the battery, insisting that the marks of brutality was inflicted on Bela by his wife while they were fighting.

He, however, admitted to having pushed her outside, saying he acted based on his family’s decision. He said:

“I am from Uromi, Edo state and it is a taboo for a married woman to have extramarital affairs.

She left the family house for over one month without telling anyone where she went to. As it is, I am not expected to have anything to do with her so as not to fall a victim of the consequences of her action.”

Kelly Omeneka’s wife, Mercy, a 2015 graduate of Criminology from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, admitted to having fought with Bela.

She claimed that the fight was over an allegation by Bela that her fan was stolen from her room, while she was away.

As at the time of writing this report, Vanguard reports that the concerned parties were still being interrogated at the gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command.

Vandora is from Edo state. She is the first of 3 siblings and in a relationship. @vandora_vandora will miss her boyfriend most whilst in the House and also bring heated conversations and charisma into the House. She is on a journey of discovery and loves wearing short outfits.

Nina Chinonso from Owerri, Imo state University, has a boyfriend. Nina speaks four languages and loves to interact with people so #BBNaija3 seems like the perfect place for her to shine. Nina is the last daughter amongst 5. She loves singing and chatting. The 21-year old English and Literary Studies graduate enjoys eating spaghetti and enjoys music by Wizkid. She describes herself as unpretentious and can neither stand proud people or liars.

Kelvin aka K. Brule is 23 years old. K-Brule is an upcoming song writer and artiste, his hobbies are playing football and watching movies. His mum is super excited about him being a Housemate and he intends to bring his dirty sense of humour to the House. His fav colour is metallic red. He is 23 yrs old.

Teddy A is a Recording artiste and graduate of the Univ of Texas, he is also known as Badman Teddy. The 29-year old considers his high points to be when his son was born and getting his recording contract.

For these first four Big Brother Naija housemates, this is their first time ever competing in a reality TV show.
