4llerbuntu: yes that's the idea. u have it right. u could also easily just buy the 2 in 1 lnb......m
but for amos, its not guaranteed that attaching to the handle will work automatically. u have to locate where it is first by manipulating the lnb gently to then be sure which point to attach it .
for me beside the handle has not had any success......... yet. may retry with a new lnb skew ........ but I have made up my mind to try get a fabricated holder..... makes life easier tanx u d boss! Any idea on how to get daarsat encrypted stations (nta, ait news, ait parliament, kennis music, quest and d rest) back? These channels went off air 16th of september. |

4llerbuntu: did u even read the thr3ad at all? I just asked this and someone posted the TPs on this very page.
please try not to be lazy.
Dstv=11900 v 27500
Multi tv=12523 v 19531
Amos 5=11881 v 27500
well u have to be inventive. think outside the box. or get some aluminum maker or welder to fabricate stuff for u.
my example in the picture is actually copper wire cables twisted together and covered with black tape. I'm considering visiting some aluminum guy to make a holder but I need to make up my mind on what it will look like with the measurements.
just be creative. who knows u could show us the way. I tried creating a thread for this purpose but received no response. i'm think i should fabricate a more stable clamp to hold d lnb in place.d koko is d point at which i can attach d lnb.i think i need to adopt ur method first, then improve on it.pls tell me if i'm wrong,i should track multi tv first, then place another lnb 5cm above multi tv for dstv, lastly attack an lnb by the handle for amos.tanx for ur patience. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Newbie In Satellite Installation: Introduce Yourself Here With Your Problems by Dinobenson: 8:04pm On Oct 07, 2013 |
4llerbuntu: Well i can tell you one thing for sure. U need ti have the dish somewhère accessible where u can stand in front and work wìthout hassle.
The only sure one is multi tv and dstv. The space between them is approx 5 cm. And they are on a straight line. Any other one u woùld have tò track first with ur hand to decipher where u will attaçh it.
Look at my pics for idea about dstv and multi tanx so much for the prompt response, but what can i use to attach it? I can track the above satellites individually in matter of minutes but attaching an lnb or lnb's,that is a different ball game! Cos i have never done a thing like that or seen it done.tanx and most grateful once more. |

microgiant: @4llerbuntu
what you have done is great, but you are missing the critical point. So, I will repeat it again:
1. Track MultiTV as the primary LNB, then get a maximum signal of 97% or at least above 90%. How to do it? after getting the signal, adjust you dish little by little, up/down, right/left while watching you screen to see where the signal increased and decreased, i.e. if you have 60% and move the dish up, the signal should increase, but if if decrease, try moving it down, to see if it will increase. If moving up and down the highest signal you can get is 60% leave it at that point, then try moving it left and then right, checking also the point at which you get increased signal. You can still try the up and down movement at this point also to see if the signal increases, then tighten your dish at that point. The next step is to loosen the LNB holder a bit and turn the LNB clockwise and counter clockwise (this is called skewing) signal will increase or decrease, tighten it at maximum signal. 2. Search for the DSTV signal, when you get signal repeat what you did before, i.e. up/down, left/right and finally skewing to get the maximum signal shouldn't be less than 80%. 3. Search for W3C, and repeat the process again, fix and tie at the maximum signal.
NOTE: You shouldn't adjust the dish again after getting MultiTV, for DSTV and W3C you only adjust the LNB (i.e. UP/DOWN, LEFT/RIGHT, turning LNB CLOCKWISE/COUNTERCLOCKWISE(Skewing).
Hope this helps? a fine afternoon to u bro,my question is what is d distance of d two lnb's ( dstv and amos) from the initial lnb (multi tv) and how do i attach them? Tanx and God bless. |

Car Talk › Re: Help Needed On 3rd Generation Nissan Altima by Dinobenson(op): 10:49pm On Aug 28, 2013 |
Ikenna351: As Car-doctor suggested, your car has OBD-II port. Start from there, shikena.
Lesson learnt, i believe. Next time, avoid swimming with your car. It's not a boat. That you see others doing it doesn't mean its safe. If you had done U-turn and tried another route/road when you saw that flood/pool or water, you won't be having this nightmare.
Also, don't listen to "put the head, don't allow him to put head". Also, don't listen to "put head, nothing go happen". Something always dey happen in such situations. I was a victim. Back then while in Unizik, i was travelling with a guy and a chick in my father's Peugeot 504 GL. Sighted a Police check point afar and stopped. I told the guy with me that one of the vehicle papers has expired, i think the insurance. The guy pressed me to move, that "nothing go happen", as long as he was in the car. He even asked me to leave him to do the talking, incase they park us by the road side. Foolishly, i drove on (one of the foolish things i did back in the days i wont forget). We got to the check point and i slowed down. One of the Policemen peeped, saw two youngmen inthe front seats and a hot chick at the rear seat and shouted "Park!", pointing at the road side to park well well. "Am in for it!", i assured myself. The guy that claimed he would do the sweet talking jumped down and started what he claimed he would do to set us free. Before i could say 'jack', they have asked for the vehicle papers. I was looking at the guy wondering why the 'talking' come worsen the situation. By the time the policeman saw the expired Insurance paper, the guy no fit talk again. He quietly entered the car and kept quiet. It was more like "You are on your own". Na so i come start my own 'talking'. My own talking was 'biko' all through. There is no sound of 'biko' i didn't use that day. Eventually, they warned me and gave me back my papers and driver's licence. Since that day, i don't listen to any second opinion on where to drive or how to drive my car from anybody. Because when trouble comes out of, it will be on your head eventually.
Summary of my story, if you see any level of flood that you are not sure of, do U-turn. I no dey 4 "its not too deep". Because no be you go fix am for me if the car kpafuga inside the flood.
Ikenna. na wah for u o! U forget to mention what contribution the 'hot' chick made to get ur car released.abi her own na to enjoy free ride? Lol! Just kidding, thanks for ur help,i think i have learnt my lessons (the hard way though).respect bro. |
