I never thought I will do this. But, desperate times call for desperate measures. After a year of sitting at home, I finally found a job in Lagos State (Lekki).

But the bad news is that, I don't know anybody in Lagos. The person I know is staying in Akute (Ogun state) of which, that is where I am presently. From Ojodu Berger to Akute.. I spent 600 on bike on day 1.

Pls, I need someone who is staying somewhere close to Lekki to assist me till I find my legs firm in this strange land of Lagos. Letting the job go is not even an option with the economic situation of this Nation.

The accommodation may not necessarily be free but flexible enough for me to pay in installments as I collect my salary.

I know its a big risk I'm taking... But I have got no choice.

People are not in Lagos because of Afenifere but rather because most people were already established there before the Capital was moved to Abuja.

For the issue of public transport I will rather suggest that govt should provide trains while the public sector is encourage to provide the massive buses. Almost all the state govt and the fed govt had one time engaged in provision of mass transit buses in their respective states but corruption couldn't allow that to survive.

I work outside d city I live, before, u get to work and c different colleaugues' cars. But for about 2/3 months now esp when the scarcity was biting hard,we take turns in taking our cars to work,while others join the person who it's his turn to take his car to work. In dat way we save fuel and money.
The relative availability of fuel in most fuel stations isn't coz the increase in price/subsidy removal is working. It's coz people don't have money to buy fuel,as people are just looking for money to eat first now,den think about fueling cars later.
Example,i get two cars,but I no dey craze to dey fuel the two cars in this period,so I chose the one consuming least fuel,and keep buying 6.9litres(1000naira) from time to time!

My friend be exposed, the use of bicycles is not a sign of backward trend in fact it is a sign of development, any time you have the chance to travel to Europe which is more and far developed than Africa, you will notice that the number of bicycles on the road if not more than the number of cars are almost equal. Though I have not travel to the whole of Europe but at least I have been in Germany the first economy in Europe.

Denmark also and some parts in France. They use bicycles as alternatives.

I have a former colleague who, after being laid off more than two years ago, was unable to secure another job. Funny, I repeatedly asked if her CV was in good shape and she said yes. After the gist, I sha asked for her CV so I can speak to a few people to help out. My dear, when I got the CV in my mailbox, I almost fainted! It was so bad that it took me three hours to edit. I thereafter sent her a copy and she called immediately thanking me for sorting the mess.
The very first organisation I sent her CV to called her for interview and she started working TODAY! We sometimes need to look inwards when things are not going right with us, most of our village people no even get our time...lol!
