Nairaland GeneralShell Nigeria Is Said To Reduce Its Foot Prints In Niger-delta Region Of Nigeria by dintexventures2(op): 3:36pm On Jul 22, 2013
Its no more a joke that shell petroleum Development Company of Nigeria who is the highest employer of Labour Nigeria is about to reduce its foot-prints in the Niger-delta area of the Country. This is a new development as a result of high oil theft in the region. The said company who did same at warri some time ago sent some of its staff to their portharcourt office after the selling-off of some its facilities.Majority of Nigerians lost their jobs while some families were displaced.

Can the Federal government fold their arms and watch this planned moves come in place if at all they are not the people advicing them to do so.The Federal govt is crying for creation of new jobs for the looming youths where the existing companies are been frustrated upto the point of thinking of selling off their companies. If this is actualised, many jobs will go and many families will be displaced just the same way it happened in warri.High level of crime will be experinced in the region as well when we are talking about job creation now and how to better the lives of our people.
Does it mean nothing can be done to avert this intended act?Cant the federal government intervene?

Also, even if selling-off the facilities is the last option what plans do they have for their staff and the contract staff?
How many years of grace did they plan giving before this will happen? They cannot come up one morning and decide to displace some people because of some in-house problems they experience in the region.Bunkering is been carried out by experts and security operatives.Has shell tried to investigate who is involved in the act.No smoke without fire. The same shell that is lamenting of high oil theft in the region if you view it well is still the same people responsible for the bunkering.

I see this as means of enriching themselves because the facilities will still be bought by some managers in the same shell.
All these International oil companies have seen Nigeria as a fertile ground to make their money, dump our people and move unto new side of business. Can this happen in their various countries?

My question is this, where do they want all their staff from warri that are presently in P.h to move to?Is there no way of doing this if not selling?

Its only in Niger-delta that you will see an army officer whose salary is not upto N100,000.00 driving a jeep. This might be an officer whose primary responsibility is to guide and protect the oil lines.Does it mean that nobody else has seen this or are we ignorant of what is happening?

Am calling on all well to do Nigerians to intervene in this matter before it gets out of hand.Continue lamenting untill the Federal government hears us.Thousands of Nigerians are about to loose their jobs if nothing is done from June to December 2014 as they said.We cannot sit down and watch this happen. Its not too late, something can still be done[b]Its no more a joke that shell petroleum Development Company of Nigeria who is the highest employer of Labour Nigeria is about to reduce its foot-prints in the Niger-delta area of the Country. This is a new development as a result of high oil theft in the region. The said company who did same at warri some time ago sent some of its staff to their portharcourt office after the selling-off of some its facilities.Majority of Nigerians lost their jobs while some families were displaced.

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 4 by dintexventures2(m): 4:00pm On Jun 14, 2013
hayek: Being a self-sponsored person, I only provided my 1. Statement of accounts with $34K plus 2. Letter from my employer that I would still be in their payroll during my education, 3. my land allocation by Ogun State government which I have paid for. 4. Accommodation initial deposit receipt of $400. I applied online here in Nigeria and upload the documents after I have reduced the size to amount required per document. Anyone can be refused for whatever reason but the bottomline is to tell the truth that you have been refused before in your application. I told them that I had been refused twice for student permit.
Do they normally look at age?
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by dintexventures2(m): 7:25pm On May 01, 2013
tzetzefly: Sir, it's best not to misquote people on this forum grin, there is no law anyway that states you cannot be issued visa if you intend travelling with your family members. What people clearly said was that your circumstance in Nigeria determines the CO's decision to issue visa or not.

If you have a secured job, your economic situation is strong, your family tie is solid; and you have travelled a couple of times or extensively, with a good showing (not arrogance) during your interview, then you have just put the CO in a helpless situation to issue you entry visa.

See how easy that is.....
Thanks bro,I don't misquito people.I only asked a question.

I have asked some questions about u.s visiting visa.Pls my guys do you think its easier if conference is the reason for the travel or just to visit.I have gone thru the trend and observed that they frown at visiting a close relation.Do you think for person visiting with one of his children out of four need to fear. Will hotel booking serve the purpose if tourism is the reason for the travel?

Kindly advice us plsss
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by dintexventures2(m): 1:36pm On Apr 23, 2013
it does appear you have a good job,and also married. Both are good ties, but the only minus is the fact that you have not travelled before. Some cos consider this a priority ,while others do not. However, the positives appear to outweigh the negative in your case, meaning you ve got a fighting chance.Just attend the interview with an open mind, exhibit supreme confidence, and hope for some luck,as it does play a part. You may also wanna take any property and financial docs you ve got along. The officer may demand to see them or not.Best wishes

pls bro,the company will sponsor the trip and its just for three days. What will i go with to claim my points?

kenniy: actually, wasnt talkin bout ur own tax clearance.. meant ur company's firs tax clearance
@kenniy,pls should we present/submit original company's tax clearance certificate? How do i do about it?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 4 by dintexventures2(m): 2:50pm On Apr 09, 2013
efosa12345: I got confused when I saw the differences, plus UK vocations, I really felt it was not geniune. Now that you have come up with better way to present ur case, i think u should stick to what Kenniy have enlisted. The tax clearance should be ur company tax clearance certificate not yours.
@ Efosa, kenniy. Thanks and may God reward you abundantly. What of the intenary like the return ticket.Sure the company should arrange that for me also as a requirement.Does it matter?I really appreciate and will commend you guys for your swift responses to our querries.I still look upto you guys for more directions if at all there are need for other requirements/documents to present.

odeku55: Guy u r very ryt..i also spend 4 years in ukraine studying telecommunications engineering in knure, kharkov, i was just enough to practice a bit on my field..but still, ukraine is nothing to write home about. I had to come bk to nigeria to apply for my TRV to canada (used an agent) and thank God i got it, i cud link u with a camerounian frnd of mine in vancouver, canada if u wish to meet her, she also used the same agency.
i believe someone can do it on his/her own without going thru an agent. This forum has so many gurus that can help some actualise his/her dream.

pls why there are some variations in my monthly salary is this, the company pay upfront every six months and when you subtract it from 350k you will get 250k.And also my wife earn 155k although 180k in the payslip but when you minus some fractions you will land at 155k.Just realised that.I am as sincere as ever.I really thank you for calling for such observations it shows some sharp and intelligent guys are here ready to help.

please i want canada's conference and not uk.Both the company has two options-canada and uk and both do exactly same conference on electricals.
Apart from the mentioned documents kenny mentioned,is there any other document they will ask.My company deducts my tax directly before lumping the rest into my account.so to be honest they have not given us any tax clearance certificate since i joined the company.

@kenny,justwise and efosa please kindly help me out.
