We saw how he was always at the front door of every news against government and the hardship they cost the people during the M. Buhari administration, be it economic, social or political. Human rights inclusive.

As students across the country continue to protest against the ongoing strike, students on Friday in Imo State took to the streets of Owerri to also lay their grievances.

Led by various students bodies including National Association of Nigerian Students
( NANS) Zone F, Nations Union of Imo State Students (NUISS) and SUG presidents of various institutions in the state.

A facebook User and one of the protesting students HiSexcellency Allison Golden shared photos of the protest, with him holding a placard with the inscription "If ASUU no call off strike I go act porn !!!".

The National Union of Imo State students (NUISS), which is the supreme body of all Imo state students over the weekend conducted her national election of the 8th republic.

The election which many have described as the most free, fair and credible election in the history of elections in Imo state was conducted using the “E-voting Formular” newly introduced by the NUISS Electoral commission headed by Comr. Obiefule Charles; the 5th republic Eze Umuakwokwo Imo dumdum.




In the contest for National President seat of NUISS, Comrade Ahamba Bestman of federal university of Technology, Owerri, an indigene of Ohaji/Egbema local government Area of Imo state scored a total of 306 valid votes to defeat his closest rival; Comrade Godwin Ifeanyichukwu Muonaka of Alvan Ikoku federal college of Education, Owerri, who scored a total of 266 valid votes. Comrade Ujunwa Henry of Imo state University, Owerri came 3rd.

Comrade Precious Nnabugo of Imo state University and Comrade Anosike Oluomachukwu, a student of the faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka defeated their rivals to emerge as National Vice President (internal affairs)-elect and National Vice President (External affairs)-elect respectively.

Comrade Samuel Miracle and Comrade Ndubuisi Brilliant defeated Comrade Obidike Chinaemerem and Comrade Ernest Art Eberechukwu to emerge as National Secretary General-elect and Minister of Information -elect of NUISS respectively.

While majority of Nigerians are against the said move of the FG to sack Twitter from the country's internet space for different reasons bothering on Human Right and Economic Benefits, I'm looking at the Implications of 2023.

Firstly, we would remember how the EndSARS Movement was well broadcasted through the microblogging app Twitter. Up to 60% of publicity of the movement was achieved through the BirdApp.

Secondly, we can't overlook the addition to electoral credibility that social media has given to the country's electoral system.
Twitter and other Social Media platforms has given Political Parties and Individuals the necessary Publicity they have used to reach the teeming youthful population in the country especially in the Southern Part of the Country as opposed to Radio's, an almost outdated means of Mass Communication in this 21st Century.
It has also helped candidates and their sympathizers publish eyewitness account of goods and bads of the electoral process including human right abuses and electoral fraud.
Also, election result collation has been even easier, as most of the Results from Polling Units up to General Results collated are posted online before even televised collation and announcement even takes place.

Thirdly, it is a quicker link to local and international organizations concerning elections in the country including the country's Electoral Umpire INEC.

Think about what we'll be denied in 2023 without Twitter including an alleged mass rigging up North.

Update has it that Chiwueze Kingsley(SARAKI), 300l Law Student of Imo State University that was declared missing early today is dead.
He died as a result of gunshot injuries he sustained on the night of Monday when Unknown Gunmen attacked Douglas Road Owerri.
His body was found around Douglas by MCC and was confirmed dead at FMC Owerri.


SARAKI I ever knew I would say this to you this early.

But please Rest In Peace bro
