Nice story OP but one or two f**king scenes suppose don enter by now na
....U made some errors about the Glock pistol. All Glocks are Semi automatics which averages around 50 rounds per minute. Anything giving off up to 1200 rounds per minute is a machine gun and Glock doesn't make rifles.

Bro, sorry this is coming late... I'm really NOT an expert in Glocks or guns in particular, but I have a friend who is a soldier and he's my kinda consultant all things weapons. I was made to understand that Glock 18 comes with semi-automatic and fully automatic 'mode'. So my description earlier was actually correct. Maybe this article would help...

'What exactly are these guys up to?!', Col. Coker asked angrily as he sat on the chair in Mr Daniel's office. 'Have we been able to identify any of the perpetrators?' 'No sir', Mr Daniel replied. 'And where exactly are we on in the investigation?', Col. Coker asked again.

'We traced the call of the kidnappers', Mr Daniel said, 'after which we invaded their hideout, but they had already closed shop before we got there'.

'Any whereabouts about their present location?', Col. Coker asked.

'Not exactly, but the forensic analysts were able to decipher that a cargo trailer was among the vehicles that left the farm. It might be one of their operational vehicles, so I think that narrows it down for us', Mr Daniel replied.

"So what are you doing about it?"

"I called the IG of police and gave him some details of the operation and requested that he instructed his boys to carry out a thorough search of all trailers moving through the states."

"That's good... But have anyone claimed responsibility for the blast?
"

"There was no need for them to do that sir, because they already said they would do that till their request was met..."

"And what request is that? To speak with the President?"

"Yes sir..."

"But that's ludicrous! What could they possibly hope to achieve?!"

"I have no idea sir..."

"And what could my niece possibly have to do with their request?"

"I don't know that either sir..."

Col. Coker was about asking another question when Mr Daniel's secretary came into the office and quickly said, 'They need you in the situation room urgently sir, they've called again'. They all crowded out of the office and quickly went to the situation room.

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
Over 450kilometers away, a cargo trailer was cruising steady on a newly tarred road. The driver and two other men sat at the front. Suddenly one of them saw a police roadblock far ahead. The driver seemed to fret, but one of the men scolded him and told him to act normally.

They got to the roadblock and they stopped behind the vehicles before them. They noticed that the vehicles were being thoroughly searched and even the trailers ahead of them were properly searched which was very unusual.

Sweat was already dripping down the driver's face. He was getting worried and scared. 'Keep calm and act normal!', the man screamed at him. The driver nodded his head and wiped off his face with the sleeves of his shirt.

After crawling through traffic, they finally got to the check point. They saw stern looking police officers armed to the teeth, and they were directed to park at the side of the road.

'What do you have there?!', one of the policemen screamed up at them. 'Ha officer, it's just foodstuff. Take this and use for drinks', one of the men said while stretching his hand down towards the officer, offering him some notes of cash.

'Shut up and come down here!', the officer screamed back at him while pointing a gun at him. 'Officer, it hasn't gotten to that na', he said to the officer as he added more money and stretched it to the officer.

'I said shut up and come down here!!', the officer screamed up at him again. The attention of other policemen were drawn to the screaming officer and the occupants of the uncooperative vehicle. Some of them quickly gathered around the trailer. The man didn't have a choice than to come down from the vehicle.

'Go and open the back!', the man screamed again at him. He just looked at the officer pleadingly and said, 'Officer, abeg let's resolve this quietly'. 'Shut up and open the back!', the officer barked at him. Two officers came around. The man dipped his hand into his pocket and the three officers quickly leveled their guns against him. He noticed the guns pointed at him and slowly brought out a key.

He went to the back of the trailer and reluctantly unlocked it. One of the police officers threw open the two doors and looked inside. He saw some hungry looking eyes staring at him and he screamed, 'Holy shiiit!!!'....

Chapter Six

'Where am I?', Damien asked as he opened his eyes and saw Funmi sitting opposite where he laid down, staring at him.

He looked around and realized they were in a kind of room. The four walls, the floor, and the ceiling were made from new plywoods, and smelled strongly of fresh wood. There were no windows, and the only source of illumination was a torch light that was hung unobtrusively on the wall. Some loafs of bread and bottles of water were placed there for their 'enjoyment' and at the end of room was a bucket with a lid.

Damien tried to get up, but he felt a twinge in his head. He got up gently and sat upright for some minutes before pieces of information began coming back to him about the fight he had with Draco, how he killed him, how he sought for an escape route and how he was finally recaptured. Everything finally fell in place for him. They were obviously still kidnapped. And he was not dead, yet.

Some details eluded him, like how much time had passed and where exactly they were, and he knew he had to get answers one way or the other. He tried carrying out feasibility studies of his new environment. He stood up and tapped the wall but there was a dull sound, like there was a cavity behind. He tried the four corners of the room and they sounded the same. The room was built in a bigger room, and it was well built. He felt some vibrations underneath the floor like the room was in motion or there were activities taking place beneath.

He looked towards Funmi and she was looking so forlorn. The ordeal was indeed taking it's toll on her. 'How are you holding up?', he asked her. 'Just there', she replied weakly. 'You have any idea where we are?', he asked her again. She looked towards him and he realized her eyes were filled with dried up tears and her lips were bruised. 'We are in a lorry', she said in a weak voice. 'A lorry?', he asked with a quizzical expression on his face. She nodded.

Damien looked around him and he finally understood the setup. He braced himself and tried ramming the wall with his weight, but it was sturdy and it held. The cavity in between the wooden wall and the wall of the lorry absorbed the sound. It was a no-brainer.

'So what exactly happened after I passed out?', Damien asked looking down at her.

"Things happened so fast. About 10minutes after you left, I expected you back but it was the Leader and the other guy who came in. They found the one you killed lying on the floor and all hell was let loose. They began looking for you all over the place. They hit me and told me to tell them were you went. I told them I didn't know and they hit me some more. They dragged me out and threatened to kill me if I didn't tell them before they heard you coming. That was when they caught you..."

"I'm so sorry about that..."

"Why didn't you leave? You could have gotten help..."

"I was on my way back to get you... I couldn't leave you behind..."

"You shouldn't have done that..."

'I guess I was dumb to have come back for you', Damien said to himself. Various scenarios played out in his head about how he could have escaped and gone for help to rescue Funmi, or how he could have been killed when they eventually caught him. He thought about his mum and his siblings who didn't know where he was or what he was going through. 'She must be worried sick', he thought to himself.

Damien limped back to where he was, laid on the ground and was staring at the wooden ceiling while listening to the rumbling of the tires of the lorry beneath. And for the first time in more than 24hours since they were abducted, he was really afraid.

During forensic analysis of a crime scene, three parameters of evidences are usually examined. The first parameter is the visible print, which is a transfer of material from the shoe or tire of vehicle used, to the surface. The second is the plastic print, which is a three-dimensional impression left on a soft surface, while the third is the latent print which is not readily available to the naked eye. Forensic analysts use chemicals, powders or alternate light sources to find these prints.

When the forensic team arrived at the farm, they quickly set to work obtaining fingerprints, shoe prints and tire tread prints. The shoe prints were quite difficult to obtain because the whole place had been run over by the task force officers that invaded the farm. The piece of evidence that were readily available were the tire tread prints.

There were tire tread prints of about four different vehicles present around the farm, but most of them had partial prints. The most noteworthy of them all was the one with the most impression. It looked like it was the last to leave the farm. After the forensic analysts analyzed the grooves, the tread depth, the tread pattern and the thread width of the tire marks, they inferred that it belonged to a cargo truck.

'It's like the one used in transporting cattle or foodstuff from the Northern part of the country', one of the analyst explained to the Team Leader. 'Are you sure about this?', he asked. 'Positive!', the analyst replied.

Mr Daniel was still stunned at the breaking news he was watching on the television when his secretary brought him the phone. It was the Team Leader calling in. He briefed him on all the information they had from the on-site analysis of the evidence found on the farm. He was instructed to continue scouring for evidence and to look for clues as to where they might have moved to.

Mr Daniel was still on the phone when Col. Coker and his aide were ushered into the office by his secretary.....

SSS Lagos State Command (6:00am)

'Let's move it boys!', Mr Daniel screamed as he gave the final instructions for the invasion of the hide-out of the kidnappers. It had been narrowed by the tech guys to an abandoned farm.

Immediately Mr Daniel left Chief Coker's office the previous night, he called his boss, Col. Kolawole Coker and related to him all that happened. Col. Coker said he would be in Lagos first thing in the morning. He told him to invade the hide-out, tear the place down and make sure his niece was brought back alive.

About an hour later, Mr Daniel called up the task force when they got to the farm and gave them their final instructions. They were to use non-lethal force and retrieve the hostage alive. The others were to be brought in dead or alive.

'TL2 to home base. Do you read me?', the Team Leader called out as they got to the farm. 'Loud and Clear!', Mr Daniel replied back at the office. 'Approaching the main gate...', the Team Leader called out again as he began giving live updates of the operation. He gave hand signals as to how each of the team members were to go about the incursion. Standard Operating Procedure.

'Main gate breached...' the Team Leader called out into his headgear as they went into the compound. The task force members swiftly spread into the compound breaking down doors and hitting barricades. Within few minutes, the whole compound was taken over without a single gun shot.

'There's no one here sir!', the Team Leader called out. 'What do you mean there's no one here?', Mr Daniel asked him. 'They've obviously closed shop and moved sir', he replied. 'Scour the whole area for evidence to indicate where they could have gone', Mr Daniel instructed. 'Yes sir!', the Team Leader replied.

Mr Daniel slumped in the chair in his office thinking about all that transpired the previous night up till that very moment. He was very tired as he hasn't slept for more than 24hours. He was drifting into sleep when his eyes caught the news bulletin on the television before him.

'Breaking News: Bomb Blast At Bus Park - Kills 35, injured others... Details coming soon'...

Chapter Five

Mr Daniel Ekanem was the DGSS of the State Security Service in Lagos State. After the reshuffling of the entire agency which was mired with corruption and nepotism by the President of the country, he was promoted and transferred from Calabar to head the Lagos State Command due to his past exceptional achievements. He had a very strong anti-terrorism stance and most persons in the security community attributed the absence of terrorism in the state to his spearheading of several crack-downs on the various cells and sub-cells of the terrorists.

Mr Daniel just got home that night when he got a call from his boss, Col. Kolawole Coker, the DG of the State Security Service in the country.

"Hello sir", he said when he received the call.

"Hello Mr. Daniel. How you doing?"

"I'm fine sir..."

"And your family?"

"They are fine sir... Sir, hope all is well? It's quite late..."

"All is not well..."

"What's the problem sir?"

"My niece has been kidnapped."

"Jeez!! When did this happen?"

"It happened some hours ago..."

"Have the kidnappers made contact?"

"Yes, they have..."

"And have they made any demands yet?"

"They've not made any demands..."

"Could this be political or just for ransom?"

"I have no idea..."

"Have the police been involved?"

"About that, they've not been involved and I want it to remain that way..."

"What do you want me to do sir?"

"Mr Daniel, I would appreciate it if this issue can be resolved quickly and covertly by you and some of your trusted boys. I would be flying to Lagos myself tomorrow but I want you to look into the matter immediately and if possible, resolve it before I arrive..."

"That's no problem sir, we would get her back. But I would need some background information about her. How do I get it?"

"I'll send my brother's address to you right now. He would be expecting you..."

"No problem sir..."

"I trust your discretion with regards to this..."

"There's no problem sir, we would do our best..."

"Thank you very much... And please, get back my girl..."

"We would sir..."

Immediately Mr Daniel ended the call, he was sent the office address of Chief Coker. He called two of his lieutenants, briefed them of the situation and told them to meet him at the office immediately.

Chief Coker could not go back home to his wife with the news that their daughter had been kidnapped. He knew she was struggling with her health as it was, so hearing that kind of news could leave her worse off. He decided to go straight to the office and not to his house.

About an hour later, Mr Daniel was ushered into Chief Coker's office. After briefly exchanging pleasantries, Mr Daniel began requesting various details about Funmi, like her recent photographs, who her friends were, what her daily routine was like and various other important details. Chief Coker was quite close his daughter so he was able to provide most of those details, and her photograph on his desk was what Mr Daniel asked to work with.

As he was still discussing with Chief Coker, a call came through Chief Coker's phone. It was from Funmi's phone. Chief Coker recalled that he was called earlier by the kidnappers with that same phone and he informed Mr Daniel about it.

'Don't pick the call yet', Mr Daniel told him, 'let it ring.' 'Are you sure?', Chief Coker asked him. He nodded. He quickly called in his boys and they set up their GSM/CDMA tracking boxes. It took them roughly 45seconds to do that and by then, the phone had already begun ringing the second time. Mr Daniel gave Chief Coker a nod to take the call.

"Hello", Chief Coker said.

"I see you've brought in the calvary. Exactly what I wanted you to do..."

"What are you talking about? I need to speak with my daughter right now!"

"You know what I need Chief?
"

"What do you want?"

"Not what I want Chief, it's what I need!"

"What do you need?"

"I need to speak with whoever's charge there, 'cos obviously you are not..."

"I'm alone..."

"Bullshiit!!

**Ends call**

Mr Daniel swiftly dropped the headphone he used in listening in on the conversation and called out to his boys, 'Did we get him?'. They both shook their heads. 'He didn't stay long enough on the line. He obviously knew we were tracking the call and he is quite far from our present location', one of them said. 'If you can keep him long enough on the line, I can get his exact location even if he later turns off the phone. I can even hack the phone and set it on room monitoring mode, which in effect makes it a listening bug. Unless of course the battery is taken off', the other said and adjusted his glasses.

'Damn!!', Mr Daniel swore, banging his closed fist on the desk.

Chief Coker was speechless. He just dropped the phone on the desk, placed his elbow on the desk and placed his palms on his face. He felt confused and frustrated. He thought about how he was going to explain to his wife what was going on. He was still having thoughts when his phone began to ring again.

Everyone rustled and the lines were connected. Mr Daniel gave Chief Coker a signal to take the call.

"Hello..."

"Are you ready to do what I asked?"

**Silent**

Mr Daniel who had been listening in on the conversation, spoke up.

"So what is it you want?"

"Who is this?"

"Let's just say, someone who would make sure your demands are met..."

"And what make you feel you can do that?"

"Look, you obviously have demands... Let's hear them..."

"Fine!! I need an audience with the President!"

"What!! President of what?"

"Hahaha... I'm sure you are not that dumb. You'll definitely figure out what I'm talking about. Maybe I should give you a motivation. A bomb would go off tomorrow, another one next tomorrow, and another, till I finally get his attention. You feel my drift?"

"What does kidnapping Chief Coker's daughter have to do with seeking an audience with the President?"

"Don't worry, you'll figure that out too... You have till 8am tomorrow to grant my request, or the first bomb goes off..."

"We are talking about the President of the country. We can't just get him to speak with you just like that..."

"I'm sure you would find a way around it..."

**Ends call**

Mr Daniel was stunned. He looked towards his boys and one of them gave him a nod, indicating that they got the location...

Draco bucked and thrashed, but Damien just planted a giant hand flat on the back of his skull and waited patiently until he died.

When Damien noticed Draco had died, he came back to his senses and he dropped him. Funmi sat down on the floor, staring at Draco's corpse with tears in her eyes while Damien sat beside her panting and feeling frazzled. This was the first time he killed anyone purposely, but he was just numb about it. He had been in fights in the past where he almost killed his attacker, but this was the first time he actually went through with it. He was spent and slack from the fight he just engaged in. He felt like he had used up a lifetime of adrenaline supply in just these few minutes.

Some minutes later, he shook himself and
staggered to his feet. He went towards the iron door and placed his ear close to it, listening for movements outside. Everywhere was as silent as a grave yard.

He then wandered back towards Funmi and squatted in front of her. He looked into her eyes and began buttoning back her shirt, one button after the other, right to the top. She was breathing heavily. Immediately he finished buttoning up her shirt, she flung her arms over his neck and held on tight. Her breathing sucked and blew against his shirt. They held on to each other for a while and he felt the carnage she just experienced gradually drain out of her.

She later let go of him and they sat side by side on the floor, staring at Draco's corpse for a while. Some moments later, she turned to him, stared deep into his eyes and asked in a trembling voice, 'You've killed someone before?' Damien didn't respond. He just looked away. 'Why did you kill him?' she asked again. 'He would have killed us. Besides, I didn't want him running out and calling for back up', Damien replied.

Funmi looked up and seem to be a little bit at ease with the fact that Draco was dead, because if he wasn't, she might have been molested or both of them would have been shot. Either ways, it was an unacceptable situation for her.

She turned towards Damien and when she saw that he was looking directly at her, she quickly turned away and asked, 'Where did you learn to fight like this?' 'Long story', he replied, 'besides, the kick you gave him shows you are not a bad fighter yourself.'

"Yeah, I spent some holidays with my uncle. His boys taught me some self defense moves. I guess it paid off... So, who taught you how to fight?"

"I was in the NDA..."

"The Defense Academy?"

Damien nodded his head.

"Really?? So what happened?"

"It's complicated..."

"Then 'uncomplicate' it for me..."

"Don't worry, I'll tell you all about it, but first we have to do something about this body. We can't let them find it here..."

"Or you don't want to tell me about it?"

"It's not that... I promise to tell you all about it, but right now, we need to get rid of this body..."

"And how do we do that?"

"Don't worry, I'll think of something..."

Damien got up and went towards Draco's corpse. He picked up his gun, clicked off the magazine, realized he had just seven shots left, clicked it back and then placed it at the back of his trouser. He dragged Draco's corpse towards the back of the door and left it there.

Damien went back to Funmi and squatted in front of her, placing his right hand on her shoulder. 'Let me go and have a look around, I'll be right back. Ok?', he said to her. She nodded her head and said, 'please don't stay long.' 'I'll be right back, I promise', he said back to her as he got up.

Damien went to the door, opened it silently and went outside. He pulled out the Glock, pointing it in front of him everywhere he turned to. He looked around and realized everywhere was quiet and serene. He guessed Draco was alone on sentry duty because he couldn't find Striker, the lady, the Leader or any other person roaming around.

He looked towards the sky and guessed the time to be around past four or to five. He realized it's been almost 16hours since they were abducted.

He went towards the uncompleted building close to the storage and realized there was no one there. It was a building with just two rooms. He wondered what they had in mind when they built it. He realized there was no vehicle in front either.

He found a car path beside the uncompleted building leading to the back of the house and he followed it. After walking a few paces, he saw three different bungalows and one of them looked like where the Leader and the others would be. He saw the van and a truck in front of it. He decided against engaging them alone as he might not stand a chance against them.

He went back towards the gate and noticed it was shut but not locked. 'It's either these guys don't know what they are doing or they are completely stupid', he thought.

He opened the gate silently and went out. He felt the cool night air around him, soft and boundless. He was free, but he had no idea where he was. He walked for some minutes, trying to locate the main road. He couldn't because bushes were all around him and he didn't see anyone passing by. He realized it could take several hours before he could locate the road and he knew he couldn't leave Funmi behind. If he was to escape, they were to escape together.

He turned back and began walking back to the compound. After walking for several minutes he got to the gate. He opened the gate silently just as he did when he got out. He took a step inside, pointing a gun in front of him as he did, but the sight he saw in front of him made him freeze.

'Drop the gun!!' the Leader screamed. He was holding Funmi in front of him and pointing a gun directly at her head. Damien was stunned, but he still pointed the gun at the Leader.

'Drop the gun or I'll blow her brains off!!', the Leader barked again. Damien didn't have a choice. He couldn't shoot at the Leader without endangering Funmi. He couldn't see Striker or the lady either. He raised up his hand, slowly bent down and dropped the gun, got back up and raised up his hand. Striker appeared in front of him, pointing a gun at him and quickly kicked the gun away from him.

Some seconds later, Damien heard a sound behind him and he quickly turned his face to look at what it was, but the last thing he saw was the Lady jamming the butt of a gun to the side of his head. After that, he felt nothing...

In that case, Draco and other gang members would have been alerted when they come into the "storage" and discover the meal brought has been eaten, seeing as they never undid the ropes used. Nice plot though

This is the part I was referring to...

Damien tried once again to wriggle out of the rope with which he was tied. He knew he just had to dislocate some bones in his wrists if it was going to be possible. 'Crraccck' 'Crrraccck' and a silent scream from Damien was what Funmi heard that brought her back to her senses.

He went towards Funmi and she tried to move away from him, scared about what she just saw. 'Relax, let me get this for you', he said. He went behind her, and loosened the rope.

Damien quickly went towards Funmi and asked her to sit down. He tied back her hands, but not as tight as it was previously. He sat at a corner and placed the ropes on his hands, giving the impression that it was still tied.

Damien tied Funmi's hand at the front and placed the ropes on his own hand (still in front of him) like it was tied, not behind as the kidnappers did previously. If you noticed, after Damien tied back their hands, the kidnappers didn't come into the room altogether. The leader came with three men, perhaps for inspection. Draco later came in. He obviously ignored any inconsistencies, perhaps due to his lust for Funmi or the fact that the leader should have noticed if anything was amiss. Besides, they didn't know what Damien was capable of, hence their security was a lil bit lax... I believe if someones hands are tied at the front, the person should still be able to do basic things like putting food in the mouth or unbuttoning a shirt like Funmi did (that's if I'm not mistaken).

Thanks bro...

Some hours later, when everyone was asleep, and everywhere quiet, the iron door was opened. Draco walked in and shut the door silently. Damien and Funmi were already fast asleep, but immediately the door opened, Damien woke up. He pretended he was still asleep while he watched what Draco was up to.

Draco walked towards where Damien lay down to check if he was asleep. Damien didn't give any sign that he wasn't, but he realized from his peripheral vision that Draco was holding a gun in his hand. He noticed it was the same Glock he saw with him earlier in the day.

Draco walked towards Funmi and bent down while watching her sleep. After several seconds, he transferred the gun he was holding on his right hand to his left and tried to fonndle Funmi's boobs with his right hand. Damien saw this and was shocked but he couldn't make any move because Draco was still handling the gun. He hoped Funmi wouldn't react, as that might make Draco let down his guard and drop the gun.

Damien calculated the distance between him and Draco and concluded it could take at least six long strides on his feet to get to Draco, which could take him roughly four seconds. He was very angry at the thought that Draco could do such to his hostage and adrenaline was rapidly building up in him.

His hope was dashed because immediately Draco's hand touched Funmi's boobs, she jumped up in shock and shouted, 'What the hell do you think you are doing?!?' 'Shut the fuuvck up biitch!' Draco screamed back at her.

Damien couldn't pretend he was asleep any longer. He knew he couldn't leave Funmi to face Draco alone.

"Hey you!!", Damien called out at him, "Trust me, you don't want to do what I think you want to do..."

"Of course I freaking want to", Draco said while waving his gun at him.

"You don't want to do that..."

"Or what would happen?! Huh?!? In case you haven't noticed, no one outside this room can hear us. So you just might want to shut the fuuvck up and watch. I might even let you join the party, you know..."

At this point, Damien was already fuming with rage. He wished he could just rush at Draco and give him a punch that would shatter his teeth. He knew he couldn't do that because Draco was still waving the gun at him.

Damien knew that the Glock could fire about 1,200 rounds a minute, dumping a 30 round magazine in about 1.5 seconds and it would take less than two seconds for Draco to take an aim and fire at him. At least that was how long it would have taken him. But he needed at least three seconds to get to him. Even a second is important when someone is pointing a gun at you. Damien knew he had to wait for an opportune moment before he struck.

Draco turned towards Funmi while still keeping an eye on Damien. 'So what do you have underneath those clothes?' he asked her. Funmi didn't respond but looked at him with disgust. Draco pulled the safety of the gun and pointed it at Damien. 'Let me rephrase', he asked again, 'You want to show me what's underneath those clothes?!?'

Funmi was terrified. She was shuttling looks between Damien, the gun and Draco. She didn't respond, so Draco gave her a slap with the back of his palm and that sent her sprawling on the floor. 'Get up biitch!!!' he screamed at her.

She got up slowly and stood before him with tears in her eyes. 'Now take off your clothes!' he commanded her.

Tears were dropping down Funmi's eyes. She looked at Damien and he gave her a nod that meant she should do as she was told. He was so angry that Draco hit her and he didn't want her hurt any further.

She was putting on a sky blue flannel shirt with black skinny jeans. Damien looked on as she unbuttoned the shirt slowly, one after the other. Six buttons in all. As the last button came off, she put her hands down and the inner parts of her boobs, well packed in her lacy bra with her trimmed tummy was on full display. The 60watts bulb directly overhead her did little to conceal any of her delectable features.

'Well, well, well... What do we have here?' Draco said while smirking his lips. He was fully engrossed in feeding his eyes on her. Damien sat there, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce on him.

That moment came sooner than he expected because immediately Draco came close to Funmi and tried to use his free hand to remove the strap of her bra, she hit him hard on his balls with her knee and kicked the gun off his hands.

Damien was stunned that she could pull off that move, but the adrenaline pent-up in his system made him swarm up to his feet, and hurl himself into Draco like a juggernaut. He seized Draco by the arm and threw him against the wall. Draco smashed into it and hung like a broken doll. He staggered forward and Damien gave him a kick in the stomach which made him sprawl on the floor.

Draco staggered up and tried giving Damien a Roundhouse kick, but he dodged and Draco stumbled away. Damien followed him and jammed his face into the wall several times, put his right hand around his neck and leaned on him until he suffocated.

Draco bucked and thrashed, but Damien just planted a giant hand flat on the back of his skull and waited patiently until he died...

Chapter Four

On the flight back to Lagos, Chief Coker didn't utter a word. He was so lost in thought about all that was going on. He wondered who could be behind the kidnapping of his only daughter. It's been almost 10hours since she was kidnapped. He wondered how much they would demand for as a ransom and why they haven't called him back already to make their demands.

'Chief, are you ok?', Bala asked. 'Don't worry about me, I'm fine. I'm just wondering why they haven't called yet', Chief Coker replied.

"Are you sure you wouldn't want me to contact some of my colleagues?"

"I told you what the man on the phone said no police involvement!"

"But Chief, we can't resolve this on our own. We need to involve the police at least..."

"Don't worry I'll make some calls when we land..."

"That's better sir..."

Immediately they deplaned, Chief Coker called his elder brother, Col. Kolawole Coker, who was the DG of the State Security Service in the country.

"Hello...", Col. Coker said immediately he received the call.

"Hello sir..."

"Dare, how are you?"

"I'm ok sir..."

"And how's the family?"

"There's an issue sir..."

"What's happening?!"

"It's Funmi. She has been kidnapped..."

"Wharrrt!!! When?!"

"It was earlier today... I was just called about two hours ago..."

"And why didn't you inform me immediately?!"

"I was confused. I didn't think about it..."

"How much did they demand for?!"

"They've not made any demands..."

"So what do they want?!"

"I have no idea..."

"Have you informed the police?

"They asked me not to, else they'll kill her..."

"That's bullshiit... Where are you now?!"

"I just got to Lagos now... I'm still at the airport."

"Ok, just relax... We would find her. I would put a call through to the DGSS in Lagos state and he would handle it..."

"But shouldn't we just wait for them to make demands for a ransom and pay it?"

"Don't worry, I'll call him and he would be on ground to handle the situation..."

"Ok sir..."

"I'll call you later..."

"Alright sir..."

Several miles away, Damien and Funmi watched as three men with masks walked into the room where they were being held. They looked at them for some seconds and left without uttering a word.

Damien wondered who they were, but from their attire, he felt they could be business men of some sort. One of them was putting a black kaftan, while the other two were putting on blazers.

Damien and Funmi were once again left alone in the room. His stomach was already rumbling like he hadn't eaten for one week. Funmi just lay on the bare ground, obviously very weak.

Some minutes later, Draco opened the door and walked in with a loaf of bread, a tin of sardine and two bottles of water. He divided the loaf of bread into two and gave the smaller part to Damien and threw him a bottle of water. He opened the sardine can halfway and placed it in front of Funmi. 'Please eat', he said while looking at her surreptitiously. Some seconds later, he left for the door and before he opened it, he looked back at her again and blew a kiss at her.

Damien looked on at the scene taking place before him but he pretended he didn't notice him. 'What's wrong with that one?', Funmi asked when she heard the door shut from outside.

"What did he do?", Damien asked her.

"Didn't you see what he was doing?"

"Maybe he likes you...", Damien said with a slight smile on his face.

"Like who?? Please don't let me puke out my intestines... I'm famished already as it is, and this is what they give us??"

"Just manage it... At least you have a tin of sardine..."

"Don't worry, we would share it..."

Funmi took some pieces of fish from the can and pushed the rest to Damien. She couldn't finish her bread, so she gave the rest to him too. Damien ate, and the pangs of hunger he felt was reduced.

Both of them began talking about life and their past experiences till they fell asleep.

Some hours later when everyone was asleep, the iron door was opened and Draco walked in......

'Are you alright?', Damien asked from beneath her. 'I'm fine. Thank you', she replied.

"I shouldn't have allowed you do that... I'm sorry..."

"No it's fine..."

"Hope you are not hurt?"

"No, I'm not... Are you?"

Damien tried getting up. He felt some pain on his back. 'I'll live', he said. Funmi saw the way he contorted his face and realized he was in pains. 'Let me see your back', she said. 'Don't worry, I'll be fine' he replied. 'I insist', she shot back at him.

She went behind him and raised his shirt a little bit. Even in the dim light, the sight she saw was shocking. She saw some scars and she couldn't help but ask him.

"What happened to you?"

"Where?"

"Your back... These scars..."

"Oh, that? Don't worry, it's nothing... In fact, I'm fine... We need to find a way to get out of here..."

"You are kidding, right?"

"Can one fit through that opening?"

"Yeah, I guess..."

"How far is it down?"

"It's almost the same..."

"That's ok..."

Damien stretched his back and the pain he felt subsided. He looked around and wondered how they going to go through that hole.

He formulated three possible scenarios in his head. First. They repeat the same stance they did earlier, but this time, she climbs first and she uses his shirt as a cord to pull him up. But there was a problem with this plan. She might not be strong enough to pull him up. Plan 2. They reverse the stance, with her lifting him on her shoulders with him later pulling her up. This also was faulty. She wasn't strong enough to carry out her task in either of the plans. Plan 3. He uses each of their clothing to form a cord to hold on to the opening close to the ceiling. This was the least likely to work because of the material of the clothing they were putting on. By Damien's calculations, it couldn't support both their weights. With the last option, only one person could go.

Damien was in a dilemma. He tried explaining his thoughts to Funmi. 'Don't worry, go. I'll be fine', she said to him. Damien shook his head.

"Just go, you would be able to get help..."

"I can't just leave you here. If I leave, they might torture you..."

"Even if they torture me, you would come back with help, right?"

"I would, definitely. But they wouldn't stay when they know their location has being compromised... And then something bad might happen to you... I wouldn't want that..."

"Just go, I'll take the risk..."

"No, I'm sorry I can't..."

They were still debating whether Damien should escape without Funmi when they suddenly heard the sound of the van drive into the compound.

Damien quickly went towards Funmi and asked her to sit down. He tied back her hands, but not as tight as it was previously. He sat at a corner and placed the ropes on his hands, giving the impression that it was still tied.

After several minutes, they heard the door being unlocked from outside and three men with masks over their faces walked in....

Someone just sent me a mail asking if this happened really like 'Escapades In The North', 'cos it appears I'm using the main character (Damien) to describe myself. I just had to laugh.

To you all, Accidental Victim could be termed 'FICTION', unlike the other I wrote. But the fact is this: I personally don't really believe in 'fiction'. I believe that every reality to/about someone is fiction to someone else, whether you accept it or not. I see every fictional story as real as the imagination of the writer. It exists in his/her mind, hence to the writer, it is reality. To follow along and enjoy a story as it's been told, you need to feel the characters as they emerge and in a way, think like the writer. In so doing you've accepted the story as a reality in your mind and it's stops being fiction. In as much as this didn't happen physically but metaphysically, I'll try to describe scenes that are physically possible. Thanks for reading...
