AutosRe: Car Prices ?!?! Help! by Diplenty(m): 4:45pm On Feb 26, 2007
You can get a Kia ( Rio, Picanto & possibly Cerato) for that price

A peugeot 206 can also be acquired around that price. If you are experimental type you can try Cherry Cowill or Hyundai as well

For online leads you can try

FashionRe: Lose Your Virginity To Be A Top Model? by Diplenty(m): 10:10am On Feb 25, 2007
Think about this:

What determines a top model? The agent or the skills you've got?

If you start it sleeping, Be sure there are more beds to warm ahead with no guarantees!!!
IslamRe: Islamic Talk: by Diplenty(m): 4:52pm On Feb 20, 2007
I want to believe this thread was spawned by a Muslim for Muslims why all the side talks

@ Mukina,
My village people say: its the people you trade with that you haggle with not third parties

They equally say: One who is at the centre of attention does not watch others

So ride on!!
FashionRe: Are Tailors In Nigeria Competent? by Diplenty(m): 4:11pm On Feb 19, 2007
If you want the real best in office wear in Naija, I think you should try the Aba tailors. They are the bomb. The quality of their sewing is comparable to Saville Row.

Alternatively in Lagos,I think you should try male garment makers

They understand the nitty gritty of office wear design, not the so called 'Obioma' that turn any error into design
CareerRe: Self-employment Tips by Diplenty(m): 11:19am On Feb 14, 2007
Its great to see folks here discussing the REAL DEAL

To be on your own, there's joy in mumbers! Dont insist on owning your own business if you can get partners with funds. It makes no sense to own 100% of a N200,000 naira business when you can own 10% of a multimillion naira business. If you have a bankable idea sell it to people who dont have the time but have the funds!!!

or those with Funds but no ideas, that way its a win-win!!

Also, to survive; understand the rule of Turnover : There's fortune in serving a multitude

InvestmentRe: How Good Is Transcorp IPO? by Diplenty(m): 3:29pm On Jan 24, 2007
As for Transcorp this is my opinion

They have 3 investments at the moment 1.Oil & gas 2. Nitel 3. Transcorp Hilton

Now lets address d investments one at a time

1. Oil & gas: they must have a huge loan to be able to acquire the oil blocks and it will take another round of huge investment to get the block to produce and eventually break-even

2. Nitel / Mtel - With the present state of Nitel / Mtel services, its going to take a lot of funds to be able to turn around the fortunes of these companies

3 Transcorp Hilton - The only viable investment at the moment but that cannot generate the kind of loans these moguls have taken

Summary: it will take a very long time for this shares to mature & that is if another govt does not wake up to say NO!! to privatization. D patient investors can try but the street-wise ones have moved on to Dangote. It is possible that another IPO will come out for Nitel / Mtel as a spin-off later in the year. Then you can buy
