One of the side effects of AI. Online groups was driven by questions and opinionated responses, but as AI knows everything now, who still asks questions in forum or groups.

Even this thread dey feel am too. If not for AI, by now this thread would be bubbling with ILR discussions.

Be like say no be only this thread sha, Nairaland as a whole feels very quiet nowadays. I'd see a topic on frontpage for minutes and still drop a reply that will be on the first page.

Innovative car designs will be fantastic are NOT those exact Chinese copies and designs.

This one isn't even a copy. He's just basically selling the same Chinese car under his brand, which is fine without the made in Nigeria sticker.

So what you're saying is Google haven't invented anything from the ground up because they didn't create a Google programming language to use and build their products. In the same sense, Innoson will invent their first car when they invent their own metal, fuel and so on.

I have built apps used by thousands of Nigerians, and people in EU. I have also published works viewed by over 5 million people across the world.

Most car companies are assembly plants, they don't manufacture all of their components, in fact that hardly manufacture 50% of it. Same with innoson, he doesn't manufacture the entire car, but just a couple of components and the body of the cars are manufactured here in Nigeria, the leather, plastic parts, glass, fittings and batteries are manufactured here.

Nothing about this particular car was manufactured in Nigeria.

I'm about 40 minutes away from Enugu state. I'm related to Igbo people by blood. I'm not Hausa or Yoruba.

My post was just about how a Chinese can is being sold as made in Nigeria. Innoson can sell the car without putting that made in Nigeria at the back. Even ordinary kitchen utensils are sold with made in China at the back. The vendors for also print stickers say made in Nigeria.

I'm pretty sure I have created more jobs in Nigeria than Innoson without getting anything back in form of any government grants and or share of National cake.

The only way that business model will work for Innoson is if he blocks the Nigerian consumer from buying the car from China directly so they can buy the one he imports, inflate the price and slaps a 50 Naira sticker on the wheel.

Anyways, if you consider what Innoson is doing making made in Naija car, you might want to check out B-lord too. He did it first and his price is very affordable.

Came across a post the official FB page of IVM about their latest G20 all electric vehicle. I did a simple circle to search (image search) and found the car was exactly the same vehicle as 2025 WULING HONGGUANG.

If IVM is reselling Chinese cars, should they do less of the made in Nigeria marketing to sound more honest.

It will be also interesting to see how much they add on top of what WULING sells the same vehicle in China.

You do understand established banks don't store their customer data the same way a few months old app will? Even with that, some young banks have been hacked and had to repay customers.

My concern however is, will your logbook replacement software still be supported after lets say 10 years? Even big companies like Google kill off products.

You have a point. One can continue to use paper, untill there is a security breach and you struggle through pages of the log book to know who and who visited and when, till you search for days, meanwhile there is a system that can make that easy.

It's not that hard to search through a paper logbook. By default everything is ordered by date.
As for the computer system, wait till the drive hosting your database crashes and you have nothing. Or the so called cloud service provider shuts down, gets hacked.

It works. dont fix what aint broke. Paper is better if non-drivers/full-time residents/pre-registered visitors are involved.

And your product has less privacy than paper. Nobody will read and memorize even 3 numbers from a logbook while filling it, unless the book is left un-supervised.

Can't remember the numbers fully, but I think it went up from about £700 to about £1,150. Also, bear in mind I moved to an electric vehicle, which tend out to have higher insurance costs eitherway.

Experienced same when I had a crash.

But I think the company are just trying to wriggle out. If it was an advisory, he can take it up with them especially if he had not driven thousands of miles afterwards.

I remember telling u then when I had to drag with my insurers abt not informing DVLA abt my change of address. Good enough, I had informed the insurance company. They wanted to cut £200 from my payout for something I could do freely online and something that wouldn't have had an impact on my payout. I kept refusing the payout. After some dragging, I got my full payout.

After una claim by how much the cost of una insurance go up.
