I'm presently @ qlife, the people here ain't much yet, if you are in dire need of medicals, you can try gate crashing. Although I can't say if people will still turn up, but the day is kind of looking slow.
Hi, did people eventually gatecrash on that day please? I'm trying to know how to go about it with the slot I have been gifted with.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Distinct777: 10:58am On Nov 09, 2018
Good morning guys. The thread is full of good and encouraging news this morning.
Congrats to all PPR and Ielts victors. God's bless all our hustles.

Please is there anyone who has swapped places for medicals before? How did you go about it?

I called Qlife now and was told the earliest slot is February next year.
However an angel here has blessed me with her slot for November. So do I just show up there on that day and demand for her appointment? She said nothing was given to confirm booking appointments so maybe they just write down people's names.

How does it work please?

I don't think you need tutorials anywhere to max out Ielts. Just learn the basics and foundation from YouTube and do a lot of home practice...lots. Iade sure I did minimum of 2 lessons per day for about a month.

For my writing, I read lots of techniques online but found Ielts Advantage to be the best (for me sha o). By the grace of God, I studies alone and maxed out all my modules at a sitting.

Had to request a remark for writing from BC though cos I was initially given 6.5. But I was so sure of what I did so I got it remarked and it was changed to 7

Bossladyorigina:
Hello,

Did you go for IELTS tutorials? If yes, please where was it?
Your result is near perfect.

Other documents
As applicable to their situation, applicants are required to submit the following documents through their online account as part of their e-APR. The system does not let applicants submit their e-APR until documents have been uploaded into the provided fields.

In contrast to other documents, however, applications will not be rejected as “incomplete” if the documents listed below are not provided to the proper specification.

Applications can, however, be refused if the processing office does not have enough information on file to be satisfied that the applicant meets the requirements of the program to which they are applying.

Proof of relationship to a relative in Canada, status of a relative in Canada and residence status of a relative in Canada (including a brother or sister for the purpose of obtaining additional CRS points)
Purpose
To validate a claim of, and award points associated with, having

a relative in Canada who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (for the Federal Skilled Worker Program adaptability points);
an adult brother or sister who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident residing in Canada (for additional CRS points).
Document requirements
This documentation is required if the applicant indicates that they, or their accompanying spouse or common-law partner, have a family member in Canada who is a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen.
A copy of both sides of the family member's Canadian citizenship document, Canadian birth certificate and/or permanent resident card must be provided.
Evidence that the family member currently resides in Canada must be provided (a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc.).
The documents must show their address in Canada and should be recent (dated within six months prior to submission).
Proof of the relationship of the applicant or the accompanying spouse or common-law partner to the family member must also be provided (e.g., a birth certificate, an official document naming the applicant as a relative, a copy of the inside back cover of the relative’s passport showing the relative’s parents’ marriage certificate, legal adoption documents and any other documents that prove or describe the relationship).
If the applicant claims a stepbrother or stepsister, there should be no evidence in the application that the marriage or common-law relationship between the parents of the stepbrother or stepsister has broken down.
Individuals who must submit this documentation
The principal applicant
Their spouse or common-law partner

Digital photos
Purpose
To confirm identity

Document requirements

In view of this I don't think an application should be rejected on that ground.

Please help.

Distinct777:
Happy Sunday house.

Please help me. I went to take passport photos for the EE profile and I want to be sure about somethings.

I read somewhere that the photos must not be edited in any way and must be taken against a plain white background.

Mine was edited a little, not so much, just a little touch here and there and then the guy put the picture on a whiter background than the original one.

Will this have any negative effect please? Or do I need to go and take another one? Are they very strict with these conditions? Please help

Happy TR to you cheesy
You're the real MVP

igwillions:
It is TR ooooooo! tongue tongue grin . Post long but short shaa sad
Hello fam, finally I am done with TR (Thread Reading) wink grin tongue. Chai! After over 3 months of reading page by page, over 500 screen shots taken, a lot of printouts made; I started from part one, I skipped part 2, continued with 3, just finished part 4 moments ago and it's official I am finally in the part 5 with you all cool cool grin.
Men the read has been worth it, the experiences, encouragements, testimonies, corrections and carrying a long. But I noticed a lot of peeps just refused to go through the thread from scratch even after it was recommended to them. I am an advocate of Do It Yourself, unless when matter don red, I dey go find help. At a certain stage of the thread, @Canadianfly became mute, I kinda missed her approach to answering some 'Lazy Peeps' who wanted to be spoon fed all through. @Newmum0615, it was lovely seeing they (LVO) did let your mata waka las las.

My highest pick from all threads is the act of patience, ranging from Transcript wahala, to ECA wait, to passing IELTS/EOR/re-attempting IELTS several times (I became emotional for some peeps but their resilience marvelled me), then waiting to get invited and PPR aaaah!
My advice to those whom have been following but are lacking in one or more requirements, start from somewhere. They say naa from clap dance dey start. I am struggling with POF, I decided to do the clappings that I can and allow God help me do the dancing. I just applied for a PGD class, not when POF now shows up, it'll now be I am the one lacking in other minor parts.

Before I end, I wont forget to acknowledge all ladies/women in this hustle, at the cause of reading, I noticed most contributors are females o, omo una try scatter.
Not forgetting to say thank you to @Ferdimako(your guidance naa 1st class upper e carry, a realest Brother you are), @Zandora, @40manlappy, @Justwise, @GlitteringStar, @Mcstan18, @Yakay who suggested NACETEM's PGD to me and @all whom have being helpful in one way or the other, God bless you all with Jara plenty because I have benefited even if I am about making commitments to this journey.

Neweeees them make una try dey read o, pason wey no no, no fit no. Selah.
Make una no vex if this post long o, if you folo me read all these parts, you go understand why.

All in all, I pray the roads rise up to meet us soonest in our respective grinding cum hustle. Chiayi-Amanda, Ikon Allah.
I am off to part 5, page 1. E goo bee naa. E Kisses and hugs

The names of the parents of bride and groom is usually written on marriage caertificate. That was why he asked if the other sibling is married, the marriage certificate will show they have the same parents.

CRS 421 will not take you anywhere except you go the PNP route.

The draws have been in the 440s region for several months. You need to boost that score

Oluwadoromi:
Dear Canada hopefuls,

Thanks for the details on this thread, such a meticulous work from various contributors. Thanks for all you do here. We will profit by getting our PR in Jesus' Name.

I am working on my documents before ITA, My CRS is 421, any hope?

I just entered the pool and I need direction regarding reference letter from former employer.

My employer would not do a 'To whom it may concern' letter. In this case, who should the letter be addressed to?

Another question: my transcripts were processed by ETX, how do I get a copy ready for ITA without paying any additional fees to ETX?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Distinct777: 4:46pm On Nov 02, 2018
You are right o. I have no idea yet. Like I said, I just entered the pool and trying to gather documents before ITA. I'll appreciate if you enlighten me though.

Obi1conte:
Yeah God bless you too

Lol at his " sibling being a man " response. It seems to me like you don't quite understand why or what the birth or marriage certs are for..BUT i could be TOTALLY WRONG. Anyhow good luck
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Distinct777: 3:59pm On Nov 02, 2018
Thanks. I already checked the NPC website but it's been down since morning. But your response is very fine for me. Spouse has the NPC cert, and his sibling is a man so no need for marriage cert.

God bless you.

Obi1conte:
Yes if your spouse does not already have a birth cert an attestation from NPC should do. And I THINK the affidavit from the customary court should do, u can check their web page or search this or related thread for info. Just type ATTESTATION OF BIRTH on d search tool and see what comes up.
A marriage certificate should work too if you spouse's sibling is married.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Distinct777: 3:20pm On Nov 02, 2018
Thanks for the quick response.

I'm not claiming sibling point. It's my spouse that has a sibling over there. I just read somewhere that I needed to get both PCC and NPC cert.

So since it's my spouse that has a sibling in Canny, he should get the npc cert, right?

Obi1conte:
Are you claiming sibling points under FSW program? If yes, then i understand why you are going through this hassle. If not then pls there is not need for an attestation of birth from NPC.
Except maybe there's another reason you need the document.
Am trying not to give an emotion response here, you've kind of not given ALL/ENOUGH reasons why you need the document.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Distinct777: 3:04pm On Nov 02, 2018
Please house, I'm gathering my documents for ITA. And I read somewhere that since I was born in the '80s, I need attestation at the NPC. So here goes -

My mum swore an affidavit for me years ago attesting to my date of birth and all but she did that at a Customary Court registry. Is that acceptable at the NPC or do I have to get her to swear another one at the high court?

If yes, was what exact details must be in the affidavit and what is the process like at the NPC?

Anyone else with a contact who can help?

He collects 6k. He usually hangs around Lagos Island but you can call him to come to your office or meet you somewhere. He will bring the form to you. He doesn't work at Alagbon but he is well known there.

You can also contact this guy, Mr. Patrick ( 0809 924 0129, 0803 474 1420). He did for me and my spouse and I already have COPR. He does vehicle papers for everyone in my office and does PCC for all of us EE folks and international students too.

Thanks so much.

Fiona111:
I know PCC can only be done at alagbon so any other station you go to will still have to take your application to alagbon for processing. If you're in Lagos then better go to alagbon at once. Concerning contact there I think someone dropped the number of another officer on this thread sometime ago so if you search well you should be able to find it.
