In his book Leading former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed the seven stars he regrets not bringing to Old Trafford during his reign at the club. From former Brazil star Ronaldo to current Arsenal keeper Petr Cech, the longest serving and most decorated British Coach has laid it bare for all to see. The Red Devil fans will not enjoy these kind of news but it is all over for Fergie and therefore he has the right to say the truth. Let us take a look at his list; 7. Lucas Moura- PSG ‘Right towards the end of my time at United we were pursuing Lucas Moura, the immensely talented right winger who, at the time, was playing in his native Brazil for Sao Paulo. We offered £24million for him, which was upped to £30m and again to £35m, but Paris Saint-Germain signed him for £45m. David and I were just not prepared to go to those sorts of levels.’ Says Ferguson 6. Raphael Varane- Real Madrid ‘In 2011, I hurtled down on the train from Euston to Lille to sign the young French defender Raphael Varane. David Gill was getting into the finer points of the contract with Lens, Varane’s club, when Zinedine Zidane got wind of this and somehow scooped him up for Real Madrid from under our noses. I don’t think Jose Mourinho, who was managing Real Madrid, had even seen Varane play.’ Ferguson said. 5. Sergio Aguero- Manchester City Sergio Aguero is one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe at the moment. Manchester United have struggled to score goals in the last few seasons and many Red Devils fans will be disappointed that Ferguson did not take the chance to sign him. aguero-award ‘We had a chance to buy Sergio Aguero before he went to Manchester City, but eventually his agent was demanding a price we were not prepared to pay.’ Ferguson continued. 4. Petr Cech- Arsenal. Former Chelsea keeper Petr Cech won 4 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League trophy, 4 FA Cups, 3 League cups and 1 Europa League crown. ‘In 2003 I went to see Petr Cech in goal for Rennes in a game against Auxerre. We thought Petr was a bit young for the bruisers in the Premier League, but Petr went to Chelsea and in the subsequent decade kept 220 clean sheets for the club.’ Fergie said. Now what is surprising is that, it happens even in football when players failed to accordingly manage their salary and other revenues. It is a really shock to see someone earning more than £30,000-a-week, but at the end you hear him that was declared bankrupt. Now let’s take a look at four Premier League footballers who ever went bankrupt after they earned good money, but lost it after a certain time. 4. Six months on and the man appointed by the courts to oversee his bankruptcy has been instructed to sell off a whole host of David’s sports memorabilia and other personal items including exercise machines, DJ equipment and even a Vauxhall Astra van. Played for: Liverpool, Manchester City, Aston Villa, West Ham, Portsmouth, Watford, Bournemouth and Bristol City. 3. Lee Hendrie – English (midfielder) Hengrie started his senior career at Aston Villa before joining other 16 clubs ahead of his retirement. He has been earning more than £30,000-a-week at the height of his career, but in January 2012 faced spiralling debts and repossessions he was declared bankrupt after twice trying to take his own life. He himself told BBC Radio 4: “If I was to say I wasted my money gambling or that I just didn’t care about my money, that wouldn’t be true.” Read more: http://www.istylmagazine.com/news/sports/four-premier-league-footballers-who-ever-went-bankrupt/ |

Just weeks after the messaging firm upset its users by sharing their details with Facebook it's now added another annoying feature. WhatsApp quietly rolled-out an update which now lets users tag individual friends in group chats. This instantly sends them a notification, even if they’ve muted the conversation. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS To tag someone, open an existing group conversation – or start a new one – and then simply start typing an @ symbol. This will summon up a list of the members of the group. You can tag multiple contacts in a single message by tapping on multiple names at once. About 50 million people around the world suffer from epilepsy - a condition where sufferers experience violent seizures that sometimes lead to physical injuries. Those seizures are difficult to predict in advance, so it's often hard to diagnose sufferers as they often occur when medical staff aren't present. But now a pair of French startups named Dataiku and Bioserenity have partnered to create a wearable device that can monitor patients at home in real-time. In The Brain The system, which is called "Neuronaute", combines smart clothing equipped with biometric sensors, a mobile app that processes the data, and a cloud platform called Medata.lab for analysing that data and sharing it with doctors. It allows for continuous EEG recording, giving neurologists a glimpse into what's going on in the patient's brain. "Data shared through the cloud can be accessed at any time by the doctor in charge of the patient," writes Bioserenity on its website. "The doctor can use the data for an optimized diagnosis and can view the response to a medical treatment and adjust it accordingly in real time." Atletico Madrid – 40 Points If there is unlucky team in the Champions League this season, it’s Atletico Madrid, losing two finals against their City rivals Real Madrid over the past three seasons was too painful, but an addition of Kevin Gameiro in the summer transfer will bolster the Spanish giants in front side, maybe there will be no repetition of penalties as their goalkeeper Jan Oblak proved to be the worst penalty kick stopper in Europe on the evidence of the 2015-16 European campaign. Tesla will update its cars' Autopilot function with new safety features designed to prevent collisions, the company has announced. Chief executive Elon Musk told reporters on Sunday that his cars would soon make greater use of the on-board radar to detect obstacles ahead. The car will also do more to make sure drivers are paying attention while in self-driving mode. A Tesla driver died earlier this year when the technology missed a lorry. As part of the update to self-driving mode, if repeated warnings to hold the steering wheel are ignored, the vehicle will need to be parked before the autonomous functions can be re-engaged. When drivers activate Autopilot, the car takes control - keeping pace with traffic and even changing lanes. The 200-plus additions to the software come as it is being investigated by the US road safety regulator. A Tesla driver was killed in May when the car he was driving hit a lorry that had been turning left - Autopilot was unable to spot the white trailer against the bright sky. No date has been announced for the conclusion of the investigation, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration told the BBC. Cristiano Ronaldo struck 16 goals in the Champions League last season as Real Madrid claimed the title - but none of the teams he scored against have qualified for this season's competition. The Portuguese forward hit a hat-trick (which included two penalties) in the 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk as Madrid kicked off their campaign with a resounding result in September at the Santiago Bernabeu. He then scored both as Rafa Benitez's side won 2-0 away to Malmo at the end of the same month, but was unable to hit the target home or away against Paris Saint-Germain in a goalless game at the Parc des Princes and a fortuitous 1-0 win at the Bernabeu in which Nacho netted the only goal. The 31-year-old scored twice as Madrid beat Shakhtar 4-3 in Ukraine, before bagging four in an 8-0 victory at home to Malmo. In the knockout stages under Zinedine Zidane, he converted a goal in both legs against Roma (2-0 each time), before hitting a hat-trick against Wolfsburg to turn the tie in Real's favour following a shock 2-0 loss in Germany. Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reiterated his ambition to win the title this season, playing down suggestions that Saturday’s Manchester derby against Manchester City will be decisive in terms of the race for the Premier League title. Manchester United head into the Manchester derby in great form; winning all four of their competitive matches this season, including the one they beat Leicester City 2-1 to win the Community Shield. Many Football fans think that tomorrow’s 172nd Manchester derby will be all about of Mourinho and nemesis Pep Guardiola, But despite the sub-plot of their history, Mourinho insists that the decisive factors will be the personnel on the pitch. “I am normal. For us, it is a game and for me especially it is a game. We are playing to try and win the title. When you do this there is no match more important than another one when it comes to this stage of the season,” Mourinho told reporters. “I know what a derby means for everyone; I’ve played derbies everywhere, in every country, in so many cities. I always want to be in the position of emotional control because for me it is just a game against a very good opponent. If you want to be successful and you want to win the game then we have to be at the top of our qualities. ”We have a good family group. We’re together and enjoy the responsibility to work for a club with a history like this.’ “When you arrive at a club like Manchester United, you cannot have defensive words. “You have to go direct to the target and say that we want to win the title.” Manchester United are now without injury problems after the international break, with Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini and Henrikh Mkhitarayan all recovered this week. visit: http://www.istylmagazine.com/news/sports/jose-mourinho-reveals-manchester-uniteds-title-ambition/ for more updates |
