As Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho prepares to come up against his old enemy Pep Guardiola of Manchester City on Saturday in what could be one of the most hyped-up Premier League games of all time, we take a look at what the pair have said about each other over the years. Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola worked together at Barcelona between 1996-2000, when Mourinho was a coach and Guardiola was a player. 15. After Chelsea’s match with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Super Cup final… ‘‘The best team clearly lost. They just scored one more penalty.’’ 14. Mourinho’s analysis of the infamous semi-final between Barcelona and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which saw referee Tom Henning Ovrebo reject a number of penalty claims from the Blues. ‘‘A year ago Chelsea were crying and Barca were laughing with the referee. They laughed because he denied my Chelsea boys their rightful place.’ 13. After his Inter Milan side booked their place in the Champions League final at the expense of Pep’s Barcelona despite 1-0 defeat at Camp Nou. “It is the most beautiful defeat of my life,” he said. “It is a style of blood not skill. We were a team of heroes. It’s a pity I could not play because I have got the same blood. I have already won a Champions League but today was even better. We made huge sacrifices.” 12. After Guardiola complained about Pedro’s goal being ruled out for offside in a Copa del Rey tie… ‘‘Up until now there was a very small group of coaches who didn’t talk about referees and a larger group who did. Now, with Pep’s comments, we have started a new era with a third group, featuring only one person, a man who criticises [the referee] when he makes good decisions. This is completely new to me.’ 11. After Barca beat Real 2-0 in the Champions League semi-final in 2011… ‘‘One day, I would like Josep Guardiola to win this competition properly. If I tell UEFA what I really think and feel, my career would end now. Instead I will just ask a question to which I hope one day to get a response: Why? Why Ovrebo? Why Busacca? Why De Bleeckere? Why Stark? Why? Because every semi-final the same things happen. We are talking about an absolutely fantastic football team, so why do they need that? Why? ”Why does a team as good as they are need something [extra] that is so obvious that everyone sees it? I don’t know if it is the UNICEF sponsorship or if it is because they are nice guys. I don’t understand. They have power and we have no chance. All I can do is leave that question here in the air and hope that one day I will get the response. They have to get to the final, and they’ll get there, full stop. Josep Guardiola is a fantastic coach. But I have won two Champions Leagues and he has won [only] one Champions League – and that is one that would embarrass me. ”I would be ashamed to have won it with the scandal of Stamford Bridge. If he wins it this year, it will be with the scandal of the Bernabeu. Deep down, if they are good people, it cannot taste right for them. I hope one day Guardiola has the chance of winning a brilliant, clean championship with no scandal.’’ 10. Mourinho on Barcelona’s playing style after the Spanish Super Cup final in 2011… ‘‘I’m not going to say we’re happy because we didn’t win the Spanish Super Cup, that would be hypocritical of me. But we intended to play like men and not fall on the ground at the slightest touch. I have been taught to play like a man and not to fall first.’’ 9. His thoughts on Guardiola’s one-year sabbatical… ‘It’s his life, but for me it’s unthinkable to take a sabbatical. He is younger than me, but I’m not tired. In normal sense, nobody could be bigger than the football club, but when you try to look deeply in today’s football, there are some players who look to be too good for their current clubs. Some may argue that bigger clubs would always overshadow a player, no matter how big he is. However, modern football has taken the football world by storm, and is one of the reasons why players have a similar space compared to the clubs. 10. Julian Draxler – Wolfsburg 9. Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have spent small fortunes since arriving in Manchester - but who will field the most expensive side at Old Trafford? Both are perfectionists. Both hate losing. And both are willing to spend big at their respective clubs in order to build formidable sides. It's why on Saturday at Old Trafford the value of the two teams who will compete in the Manchester derby exceeds over £500 million. The figures are mind boggling, but who has assembled the Premier League's most expensive side? We've crunched the numbers to see how much each side is worth - and just how much the combined sides are worth. Manchester United David De Gea - £17.8million David De Gea warms up David De Gea was snapped up by Sir Alex Ferguson In the summer of 2011 Sir Alex Ferguson needed a replacement for the retiring Edwin van der Sar. The legendary Manchester United boss didn't always have a great eye for goalkeepers (Massimo Taibi, anyone?) but identified the 20-year-old Atletico Madrid stopper as the Dutchman's long-term replacement. Ferguson spent £17.8 million on de Gea, which remains at British transfer record for a goalkeeper. It took a season for the Man United keeper to settle in English football but he has blossomed into the Premier League's best goalkeeper. Antonio Valencia - £16million Sir Alex was never afraid of raiding Premier League sides for their star performers and that is what he did in the summer of 2009 to bring the Ecuadorian to Old Trafford. Valencia signed from Wigan Athletic for around £16million. Who was he replacing? Cristiano Ronaldo. No pressure then. While Valencia didn't fill the void left by Ronaldo - quite frankly, who could? - he has proven to be a consistent performer who in recent seasons has been used at full-back to good effect. Eric Bailly - £30million Bailly has impressed in his early performances Shortly after taking charge at Manchester United this summer Mourinho admitted he wanted "specialists" in every position. So the new United spent £30million on Eric Bailly following his breakthrough season at Villarreal. And if the 22-year-old's first four appearances in a Man United shirt are anything to go by, then it looks money well spent. Daley Blind - £13.8million Daley Blind in action Daley Blind followed Louis van Gaal to Old Trafford Louis van Gaal included the the Dutchman in his 2014 World Cup squad and then brought him to Old Trafford for £13.8million after replacing David Moyes Blind's versatility has and continues to serve Man United well. During his two years at the club has played in midfield, at left-back and in the heart of the United defence. There were question marks over his future following Mourinho's appointment but the 26-year-old has excelled alongside Bailly this season. Luke Shaw - £30million Luke Shaw has returned from his gruesome injury in style With an aging Patrice Evra occupying the left-back spot at Manchester United, van Gaal reinforced the position by signing Luke Shaw from Southampton. Chelsea, the side Shaw supported, were also interested in the then 19-year-old but the Red Devils won the race for his signature and completed a £30million deal - making Shaw the most expensive teenager in world football at that time. Evra would move on to Juventus later that summer but Shaw's first season at Old Trafford was difficult while his second was ruined by a broken leg. But he has started well under Mourinho this term. Paul Pogba - £89million Paul Pogba reacts United broke the world transfer record to bring Paul Pogba back Unless you've spent the last few months marooned on a desert island then you'll know how the French midfielder's return to Man United came about. Jose Mourinho wanted Pogba. Pogba wanted a return to Man United. Juventus were willing to sell for a world record fee. Yet what should've been a fairly straightforward move became a long drawn out transfer saga. Eventually Mourinho got his man with United spending £89million on the 23-year-old. Marouane Fellaini - £27.5million Marouane Fellaini in action United dithering meant they had to up their fee for Fellaini The marquee signing of David Moyes' first and only summer in charge of Manchester United. The deal itself was somewhat farcial. Man United could've triggered a release clause of £23.5million in the Belgian midfielder's Everton contract but waited too long to lodge their bid. That clause expired on July 31. Come transfer deadline day Moyes and United were desperate for a signing. So they offered Everton £27.5million for Fellaini and Moyes and the midfielder were finally reunited at Old Trafford. Juan Mata - £37.5million Juan Mata of Manchester United turns away after scoring the opening goal as Simon Francis Mourinho sold Mata at Chelsea With United stuttering under Moyes, the 2014 January transfer window offered the Scot a chance to add some much needed creativity to his side. Elsewhere in the Premier League, Mourinho had decided Juan Mata wasn't what he wanted at Chelsea. The Red Devils made their move. They offered Chelsea £37.5million for the diminutive Spaniard. The Blues accepted and Mata sealed a switch to Old Trafford... only to be reunited with Mourinho two and a half years later. Wayne Rooney - £25.6million Wayne Rooney celebrates scoring against Newcastle in 2005 Rooney moved to Old Trafford as a teenager It was the summer of 2004. Kevin Lyttle's Turn Me On was top of the charts. Mourinho was about to lead Chelsea to back-to-back Premier Leeague titles. And Wayne Rooney was the most sought after teenager in world football. The then 18-year-old striker had starred for England are Euro 2004 and Everton were doing all they could to keep him at Goodison Park. But Sir Alex had other ideas. He persuaded Rooney to leave his boyhood club and spent £25.6million to bring him to Old Trafford. Rooney scored a hat-trick on his United debut and has gone on to become one of United's greatest players. Anthony Martial - £57.6million Manchester United's French striker Anthony Martial runs with the ball Martial arrived last summer Man United's attacking options, having let Angel Di Maria and Javier Hernandez depart, looked threadbare as the 2015 summer transfer window was coming to a close. So the Red Devils launched an astonishing bid for an exciting young forward at Monaco. Martial had earned comparisons to a young Thierry Henry but had scored just 15 senior goals. That didn't stop United offering Monaco deal that could be worth up to £57.6 million. The French side unsurprisingly accepted and Martial made an instant impression at United, scoring on his debut against rivals Liverpool. Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Free Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic celebrates scoring their second goal Ibrahimovic is the only freebie in United's XI Zlatan goes where he wants. So after he decided to leave PSG this summer on a free transfer the striker had his pick of clubs. The 34-year-old opted to reunite with Mourinho at Man United and has made an instant impression at Old Trafford, scoring two goals in his first three games. United total: £344.8million Manchester City Claudio Bravo - £17million Read more: http://www.istylmagazine.com/news/sports/is-this-footballs-most-expensive-game-ever-the-half-a-billion-pound-manchester-derby/ |

New Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is regarded by many of the fans and pundits as one of the best managers in football history, but not all of his former players have enjoyed his managerial tactics, Here are 9 world class footballers who think Pep Guardiola is a very bad manager, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Samuel Eto’o, Cesc Fabregas and the others on this list: 9. Pep Guardiola ‘lacks experience’ – Franck Ribery guza The French forward Franck Ribery hit out at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola for his failure to win the Champions League during his time at Bayern Munich. “Pep didn’t have a long career as manager,” he told Bild. “He is a young coach. He lacks experience. Sometimes he talks too much. Football is very simple.” 8. Cesc Fabregas was not aware of Pep’s system Cesc Fabregas “With Guardiola I ended up not understanding the system,” he admitted after the promotion of Tito Vilanova in the summer of 2012. “I came from another type of football and to take in everything that he wanted so quickly was difficult because the others already understood it.” 7. Samuel Eto’o blast Pep Guardiola after being sold to Inter Milan Samuel Eto'o blast Pep Guardiola Samuel Eto’o once accused Pep Guardiola of being a coward and disrespecting him in his final season at Barcelona. Despite scoring 30 goals in 36 league matches, Eto’o was sold to Inter Milan where he won another treble, lifting the Champions League again after helping to dispatch Guardiola’s Barcelona in the semi-finals. “I first of all reminded Guardiola that he’d never been a great player,” Eto’o told BeIN Sports. “He was a good player, that’s true. I told him. As a coach, he had proven nothing. He came in and didn’t even know the story of the dressing room. “Guardiola has never had the courage to say things in front of me. He passed by the players. Xavi told me they wanted me to stay but I had to talk to Pep. I say ‘never, if you do not respect me, I do not respect you’. “Pep told me how to move like a striker. I told him: ‘You’re not normal!’ The true story is that Pep didn’t respect the things in football. “What hurt me is that they invent things that the press relayed. They wanted to send me to Uzbekistan. I stayed at my place and I told him that he will apologise for that in the future.” 6. Pep Guardiola is not good on a human level – Dante DANTE Brazilian central defender Boafim Dante has criticised his ex-coach at Bayern Munich, Pep Guardiola, saying the current Manchester City manager is not good on a human level. “He doesn’t speak to you so as a player you don’t know where you stand,” he told German newspaper Bild. “There are coaches who are world-class from a tactical point of view, but who aren’t good on a human level and this is the case with Guardiola.” Read more: http://www.istylmagazine.com/news/sports/nine-world-class-players-who-think-pep-guardiola-is-a-very-bad-manager/

EA Sports has taken the controversial decision to relegate the Barcelona star behind his Real Madrid rival in the new game Cristiano Ronaldo has been revealed as the best player on FIFA 17, with Lionel Messi relegated to second and taking a knock to his player ratings. Messi was rated a 94 on FIFA 16 but, despite many players' stats being boosted this year, the Barcelona forward has been downgraded by one point to 93 for the new release. The Barcelona star is no longer the cover star of the game, having swapped his allegiances to Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, FIFA's rival, which could have played a part in his statistical demotion. The Real Madrid star will now be the most coveted player on the game... Unless you're a Barcelona fan! The third-best player on FIFA 17 - and probably the best candidate to be third place in the Ballon d'Or come January due to his La Liga performances and coming-of-age Olympics win - is Neymar with a rating of 92. The ability to convert images to text is technically referred to as Optical Character Recognition (OCR). It can be really useful whenever you need to convert a paper document into an editable, digital form. There aren’t many OCR apps on android. Of the few that are available, Google Goggles is the most popular one. It’s entirely free and does exactly what it promises – copy text from a picture and paste it elsewhere. Main features Google Goggles converts an image of text to actual text that you can copy, paste and manipulate in any other way.It can translate the resulting text into many different languages. It can recognize business cards and add them to your Android device as contacts. This whole process just takes a single tap. Google Goggles cannot precisely be described as a perfect OCR app, but it delivers quite well. It converts any image into copyable text. You can then paste this text into a document editor, your email app, your note-taking app, SMS, or just about anything else. It easily recognizes business cards and automatically adds the details to your contacts. It’s also able to translate text into tons of languages. This is Amazing, I think this is the next technology in building houses. Artificial Intelligence is really making our world much easier to live in. A Company Fastbrick Robotics based in Australia, released a time-lapse video of its commercial brick-laying robotic arm building the shell for a house in just two days — without ever needing to stop for breaks — and it’s something to behold. The Hadrian X is a 30-meter (98-foot) 3D robotic crane located atop a truck. The machine works fast, really fast, cutting, routing and placing bricks following a 3D computer-aided design model. The navigation system is so precise it allows for accuracy within less than half a millimeter, according to the company. Before you even think about it , no, you can’t swap this engine into your dad’s old Volvo 240. Volvo Trucks aren’t often built for outright speed. But the Volvo Iron Knight is not your typical truck. It was built for just one purpose — breaking speed records. And, what do you know, Volvo’s got some new world records to its name. Then again, what do you expect when you shove 2,400 horsepower under the hood? Nearly every piece on the Iron Knight is a one-off affair, built just for this application. The only parts that aren’t entirely bespoke are the engine and the dual-clutch transmission, the latter of which is the same unit used in Volvo’s normal truck lineup. The engine, mounted midship, packs four turbochargers and puts out 2,400 hp and an unbelievable 4,425 pound-feet of torque. Ford has said it will mass-produce a fully autonomous self-driving car without a steering wheel by 2021. The bold ambition was outlined by the company’s president, Mark Fields, at an event in Palo Alto, California. Ford said it would double its investment in its research centre in the city, as well as making sizable investments in technology companies in the autonomy industry. The firm said the car would be in use by customers by 2021. It said this was most likely as part of an Uber-like ride-sharing service – but one that doesn’t require a human driver. “As you can imagine, the experience inside a vehicle where you don’t have to take control changes everything,” said Mr Fields, in an interview with the BBC.
