The apology feels insincere or incomplete because it lacks direct acknowledgment of the person who was actually harmed—the driver. Apologizing to a broader audience, like Nigerians or the house, come across as deflecting from personal responsibility to the individual affected. A direct apology to the driver would show accountability and recognition of the harm done. An indefinite suspension could be a fair step, especially if the goal is to send a strong message about accountability and ensure that there's a real consequence for this kind of behavior. It might also encourage a more genuine reflection and possibly a more meaningful apology directed toward the person who was assaulted. |

Don't let these politicians fool you. Even if half the cabinet were from one region, it means nothing other than that the members of the cabinet will leave government with a fatter bank account than what they have prior. They keep spewing regional sentiments for their own selfish goal. |

These parties are not democratic at all. A governor should nominate a party chairman. What happens to delegates from the state voting who they want to be the chairman? Why did Abdulsalam and his cohort gave us such a democratic system that's so flawed? |
