Matric, June23rd |
I'm so sorry, No! It's better you don't waste your money and time. |
Well, you should have finished the verification before now because if you don't do that, you won't be able to pay your school fees and do the subsequent registration. It's not mandatory you finish them b/4 the matric but you are STRONGLY advised you do. The school only gives deadline for payment of school fees, not the verification. I hope you know what these verification and registration stuffs are all about- here is a tip to put you and other prospective OOUites through- When you see your name on the admission list, 1. Go to the bank (OOU Microfinance bank, Mini Campus) to pay your acceptance fees (30,000). I heard those their names didn't come out with the Merit list, but appeared in subsequent list payed extra fees, pls verify if it's true. The bank then issues you a receipt (it's on an A4, and you will see something like e-tranzact on it.) You may be told to come back a later date for the receipt. 2. Take this receipt to the Cyber Cafe above the bank (still in Mini Campus) to- a.) print out the school's official receipt (remember the first recepit was from the bank). b.) print out your FIRST & SECOND verification form. Here, the attendant will register you on the school's recordsoft (i.e, you will have to supply details like password, best colour etc.) 3. Take the printed school's official receipt to the Bursary, Main Campus (PS) for stamping. 4. Check your verification forms and see the aspect you will have to fill and your parent. Put together the following documents i.) Official school's recept you printed and stamped ii.) Your verification forms (make sure you fill your part there and your parent fill theirs also.) iii.) ORIGINAL Jamb result (not result checker or whatever) Coloured is preferrable. iv.) Birth Certificate v.) Local Government attestation, vi.) O'Level Result vii.) Post UME Screening Result They should all total to 9 documents. Put them together. 5. Go to your faculty office (Biochem, Computer Science, Microbiology, Plant Science TO Faculty of Science) (Biz Admin, to PS) (Medicine, Pharmacy, Basic Medical Science THIS SET OF PEOPLE HAVE TO ASK THE OFFICIALS IN THE FACULTY OF SCIENCE WHERE THEY WILL DO THEIRS COS' THE MAN THAT DOES IT SOMETIMES COME TO PS AND SOMETIMES TO SAGAMU) with those credentials and do your first and second verifications. 6. Then you can now pay your school fees in any of the banks in the school (PS and Mini Campus) 7. Go to the Cyber Cafe again and print out forms for your REGISTRATION (or 3rd Verification as some will call it)The password you supplied the first time will be the one you will still be using) 8. Follow the directives on the form (i.e go to the health centre in PS for medical examination, sport center, guidance & Counselling center, ) Good News- you will see ur collegues going through this, so they will be putting you through. 9. You will submit some document to an official after doing all these and you will hold some. 10. You are done. Definitely, you will enjoy OOU. Welcome! Remmy06, Call this number for info- 07030604262. Remember, THE SCHOOL HAS RESUMED, LECTURES AND PRACTICALS CAN START ANYTIME FROM NOW- That's one good thing about OOU. |
You are right. The resumption date was post-poned as a result of the lecturer's two-weeks off work. It was later shifted to 4th, May. |
This is to inform all freshers that the school (OOU) has finally resumed (Monday, 4th May, 2009). Thank you! |
So what have they done to them? |
63, 000 naira. (2008/2009) |
This is what OOU does 1. Divide your Jamb score by 8 2. Add it to your p-ume scores (graded over 50) Then you have your aggregate! I think the cut-off for pharmacy last year was app. 57 Note that cut-oof of indigenes is different from those of non-indigenes. Slight different though. God Luck, the pharmacist! |
Known yet? Resumption date- 4th, May 2009 |
I think the thing we should be saying now is the resumption date- 4th, May 2009 |
Hi guys, I wanna know if truly to study any engineering courses in Unilag, further mathematics is a pre-requisite. I really need to get this info for someone real soon. Thank you. |
All verifications are on! |
There is a protest going on in school now because of the school fees. |
I heard those ther names came out on the supplementary list will have to pay additional 20k as acceptance. First Verification starts next week. acceptance receipt is to be stamped at bursary (P.S) |
Maybe March. Do your registration for acceptance first, then pay the school fess, |
I will see if I can b/4 2 days time. |
Well guys i think what we shoul be discussing now is the schooll fees. The highest- N205,308 for non-indigene medicine. Others are also galloping. A govt. university! |
Go stamp your acceptance receipt at Mini-Campus (at the bursar's place in the faculty office). Se fini ANOTHER NEWS- The school fees is out. So free! N205,308 (Non-indigene medicine) |
Flora22, the problem is getting the newspaper. Pls do you know if the list for Nursing was also released? |
Are you trying to say u think OOU is the univ. anybody can enter with any result. Pls change this mindset to secure admission for yourself. Pray hard too. |
thank you all for you replies. but the site is not loading. Do you know if the p-ume result came out before the list? |
Not much. I think It is specially for the engineering students. It runs for 2 years and is a lil bit expensive, say 80k. And one MUST pass to be admitted or else "basketery is inevitable- kidding". |
Paid your acceptance fee in the bank? then go to the school cafe to print the school receip this is just 150naira. Then go to oou.recordsoft.org/RecordsoftAdmission to login with your pasword and fill your detail. You will print out about 6 pages form. |
1st or 2nd list? 1st- out, 2nd- pending |
The 1st list is out in the school. 2nd list is coming out soon. |
Oh my God! Why should we run away from getting First class. Anything worth doing at all is worth doing well. During a screening lately in a big firm, all applicants were asked to leave except those with first class. |
Please if I may ask, did you school in London? |
Preferential treatment of indigenes and candidates from catchment states is general and legal (both in federal and state institutions) but alas, as a non-indigene if you pass the stipulated cut-off mark (for non-indigenes) which is usually higher, you are in for your course. Some of my course mates are non-indigenes, including me. Just as bosunk said, applying in one's state may also give one an edge. U know. |
You guys should be more compassionate here. Those youths had parents who laboured on them. Only for their life to end up like that. I pray may our own time not be like that. |
Good one shawonlese, but plz shed more light. |
Japro, u can call me up or mail djkunect@yahoo.com. Added you to my messenger list. |
Thanks all, I restored the system and installed the bitdefender as u said. I'm ok now. |
