25 Killed As Bandits Sack Three Communities In Zamfara
Suspected armed bandits on Wednesday sacked three communities in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State, killing at least 25 residents.
Some of those killed were said to be working on their farms when they were attacked.
Sources said the heavily armed bandits opened fire on the farmers who were harvesting sweet potatoes at Garin Haladu community.
A resident said, “The armed bandits came around 1p.m. and opened fire on some youths harvesting sweet potatoes at Garin Haladu community and killed ten people.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he has taken advice from "mentor" Sir Alex Ferguson since taking over as Manchester United caretaker manager.

The former United striker, who replaced Jose Mourinho on Wednesday, was given a position in Ferguson's coaching staff in 2007 after he retired as a player and became reserve team boss before departing for Norwegian side Molde.

Solskjaer plans to use years of studying Ferguson's management style to remind the squad to once again "play without fear".

"He's influenced me with everything," Solskjaer said in his first press conference at United, ahead of facing Cardiff on Saturday.

Stop spreading misinformation on Badeh – NAF

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has called on those spreading the misinformation about the unfortunate incident that led to the death of former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, to stop. NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, made the call in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.
He said spreading of erroneous reports and comments in the media on the incident could have adverse effects on the conduct of ongoing operations.
Daramola said some of the reports erroneously stated that the driver of the late former CDS, who was also shot during the incident, was dead.
” Other reports allege that adequate security was not provided for the deceased Air Chief Marshal.

132 children die of malnutrition ---- Kaduna State
The Kaduna State Nutrition Officer, Hajiya Hauwa Usman has said that no fewer than 132 children have died of severe acute malnutrition out of the 12,858 hospitalised between January and October 2018 in the state.
Usman spoke while giving an update on the nutrition situation in the state at a two-day meeting in Kaduna, also said that 10,604 out of the 12,858 have been cured. The meeting was organised by Save the Children International (SCI) to support Kaduna State Chapter of the Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) to develop two-year Nutrition Advocacy Strategy.
