People find it difficult to seek the truth by themselves, and even when the eventually hear it, they refuse to act upon it. To the offended: The poster has sought the truth by himself and is simply sharing it with all those who care to know. Surprisingly , none of you doubted the veracity of him being there physically and seeing the things he claims he saw, which means you all know there's some element of truth in it.I'm just saying. ![]() |

sayso:I think the thread's still on track. Hi guys, just joining in. |
Haven't u guys noticed, Maduekwe isn't Nigeria's foreign affairs minister. I mean, he's even stated publicly that he owes no allegiance to Yar'adua but rather his state, so I'm not surprised at how Fool-ish he is. Just like he stated in his job description, he's not concerned about Yar'Adua. On the contrary, the minister's are going to thank the Saudi King for a good job in keeping Yar'Adua from returning home. |
WHAT'S THE SCREEN SIZE? |

" In what looks like reading the riot act to all favour seekers and fair weather friends, the Acting President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, yesterday said all congratulatory and solidarity visits to his office must stop. He said Nigerians should be more concerned with moving the country forward rather than plying him with dubious advice and requests. He also warned ministers and other members of the cabinet who have not delivered on their mandates since President Umaru Yar’Adua left for medical treatment on November 23, 2009 to do so or get sacked. Mr Jonathan had, since becoming Acting President, put the cabinet members on their toes and shown some example by increasing his own working hours. He seemed determined to maximised the impact of his tenure and already, he has added Saturdays and Sundays to his work days and increased his working hours to begin from 7.30am to 11.30pm, sometimes conducting official duties from his residence. An aide to the Acting President who prefers not to be named said Mr. Jonathan had become disgusted with the tardiness of some ministers and presidential aides and intends to put an end to such lackadaisical attitude. Thank you but stop Mr Jonathan, in a statement signed by his Senior Special Adviser on media, Ima Niboro, also said Nigerians should stop placing congratulatory messages in the media over his recent elevation to Acting President. “The nation is at a critical juncture where we must begin to focus on solutions to the overwhelming challenges that confront us,” he said. Since last week when he became Acting President by resolutions of both houses of the National Assembly, there have been countless numbers of congratulatory messages in both electronic and print media across the country. The Acting President, however, described as invaluable, the counsel and suggestions of Nigerians from all walks of life on the ways to move the nation forward. He said, “Their advice continue to bring value to governance in our country, and such counsel remains indispensable as we forge ahead to attaining the Nigeria we have all wished for.” Mr Jonathan restated the commitment of the administration to place Nigeria on the path to greatness and guarantee its place among the most influential nations of the world in the shortest possible time. The tenure of the present administration ends next year but the ill-health of Mr Yar’Adua slowed down government activities over the past three months. During this period, the nation had been preoccupied with the call on the National Assembly to act and ensure that the Vice President assumes power according to the dictates of the constitution. However, a cabal close to Mr. Yar’Adua had blocked every effort to achieve that until last week. Still they come The reaction of Mr. Jonathan comes on the heels of the incessant visits to his office of all kinds of people ranging from state governors to different classes of politicians. Last week, the presidential villa recorded an extraordinary number of visitors who came mostly to congratulate the acting president and tender one request or another. Shortly after the announcement, however, the governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was seen at the presidential villa yesterday during a visit to Mr Jonathan. A source close to the villa says the Acting President may have given this charge to discourage people who have begun to lobby to be appointed as ministers or aides. " source: http://234next.com I hope this evil men'll allow him keep focus. |

It is actually not easier to make a good life overseas than in Nigeria, it's only easier to "survive" there, even on low incomes. But the question is why would you go overseas just to "survive"? I say good luck to those who seek greener pastures overseas due to unemployment, low incomes and related issues. Problem is a lot of people who leave here in these circumstances with high anticipation and often with no clearly set goals often reach there and get distracted. First of all, they have to get a recognized certificate to be able to fit in the corporate environ(many didn't think they'd be going back to school). Some people take up courses and obtain whatever necessary qualifications, some drop out during the programme due to lazyness, or the low but stress-free life that the little income they earn from menial jobs provide and then the survival till eternity begins. At the same time a lot of Nigerians who are focused and sound in what they do, live very comfortably overseas but trust me, they are good at what they do and have worked hard to get to that level. The bottom line is that you have first got to empower yourself brain-wise. In naija, combine that with networking and a lot of information and you'll go places as far as Sydney and Rio just for holidays. |
@bidemi12 E no mean say u go live pass those wey dey naija. If everybody think lyk u who go remain for naija (ur papa and mama and gramma and granpy)Na dem go dey suffer dey go. |
Did he/could he even read it talk less of signing it. Dem don play us wayo again oooooo. |
Come back home bro. I.T companies pay fairly well, definitely not as much as banks, telecomms and ultimately oil companies. It all boils down to your competence (including cerifications), experience (foreign work experience is a lil' bit of an advantage), and negotiating power. Another thing, as Ajanlekoko pointed is that the Multinationals are king, so that should be your target if you are all about the doe. I think u should also consider coming back to contribute to the development of whatever sector you are in especially if u left for the sole purpose of a better education. Naija Breed!!! |

Yesterday at Detroit Metro Airport, the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) responded to a report from an incoming flight from Amsterdam where a passenger spent a lengthy time in the restroom. This raised concerns so an alert was raised. A law enforcement official said the man removed from a Sunday flight to Detroit posed no security risk to the plane. The passenger was taken into custody after becoming verbally disruptive on landing. Subsequent interviews by investigators determined he was a businessman who became ill during the flight. A source confirmed this report to Fox News, saying the passenger was indeed sick and that the incident appears to be "a non-event at this point." Authorities did not find any sign of explosives. A federal law enforcement official said the man, who was from Nigeria, was interviewed by authorities and the aircraft was swept. But the official said the incident was all an incredible coincidence. DHS Press Secretary Sara Kuban issued a statement on the incident: "A passenger on today's Northwest flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit spent an unusually long time in the aircraft lavatory. Due to this unusual behavior, the airline notified TSA and the agency directed the flight to taxi to a remote area upon landing to be met by law enforcement and DHS." "The passenger in question, a Nigerian national, was removed from the flight and interviewed by the FBI; indications at this time are that the individual's behavior is due to legitimate illness, and no other suspicious behavior or materials have been found." "Though this does not appear at this time to be a security incident, in an abundance of caution, the aircraft was fully screened, with negative results, and all baggage is being rescreened before the aircraft taxis to the gate." Several police vehicles and a police command unit had surrounded a Northwest Airlines plane at Detroit's Metro Airport Sunday after the pilot on the flight requested emergency help. The passenger reportedly became verbally disruptive and barricaded himself in the bathroom for an hour. Two sources tell Fox News that the suspect boarded a plan in Lagos, Nigeria, with no baggage, and said the FBI has already sent an e-mail alert to other federal agencies notifying them of the incident. A source told Fox News that the man taken into custody at the Detroit airport was a Nigerian national in his 30s. Federal officials know who the suspect is, but won't provide any more details. Detroit's Metro Airport spokesman John Wintner said there was a report of suspicious activity on the Delta/Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam Sunday. That is the same flight that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian man, was suspected of attempting to blow up over Detroit on Christmas Day. |
