Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Is Pork Forbidden In Islam? by dm1(m): 4:50pm On Mar 06, 2009
@Bilms
Thank you brother may Allah bless your effort.

Most at times when muslims talk about a ruling in islam, the christians take it as though it is only islam that forbids such. But quoting them their own holy book should put them to silence which is why we quote the bible. for example someone was aguing with me that pork is allowed in christainity and i said no. so I forwarded the above piece he became enlightened and confess to me that he didnt know that. i was not at all mad with him because i knew its ignorance for him and but for some they just want to deny what is in the bible in order to live their lives the way they want. You see today so many acts that are forbidden in the bible are the way of life of today's christians world wide and they do them without even acknowledging they are not right but rather as a legal way of life. Sometimes you wonder if they ever use the bible in their churches anymore. This is not to say they are not good christians around just like you have bad eggs in islam but atleast whatever happens the muslims still acknowledge what is wrong from right and christians just go about as if its normal.
May God help us all. ameen
Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Is Pork Forbidden In Islam? by dm1(m): 6:05pm On Mar 05, 2009
What point are u trying to ague here?

Only God knows why he forbids human from taking blood because his the all knowing. But he had set knowledge as blessing for mankind and he that seek shall find. Scientific discoveries are still being made each day but is not because they do not exist but because of people seeking for answers to why and how such and such was so. I will tell you most scientific discoveries have explation in either Quran or Bible.

About Muslim citing the bible is not a new thing because on most occations we try to show that it is not only Islam that prohibits certain things but same in christanity but christians just go about blaming islam for being a harsh religion where as similar doctering applies in christanity. for you information muslim believe in the message of Jesus christ and we have similar stories in the Quran as in the Bible and thats why I make an effort to read the bible just to familiarise myself with its teachings. Your should also try to seek knowledge of the Quran and know what it says before u come here and start throwing your hatred. Thats why for us to understand each other, comparative religion is always very important. This has been successful in many countries including uk where I live but with nigerians its always a problem. Funny enough some of this nigerians dont even know the bible that well.

WHY IS PORK FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM??

Music/Radio / Re: Why Do Igbo Artistes Sing In Yoruba? by dm1(m): 2:02pm On Mar 03, 2009
@IBOBOY
thats an ignorant comment, which says a lot about you

SORRY I DIDNT INTRODUCE MESELF AM NOT YORUBA

Of course yoruba has more appeal. That is why an act like King Sunny Ade will play in any Igbo,Yoruba or Hausa event.

And another thing you will rarely hear is a Yoruba Artiste singing in Igbo. .You will rarely hear 9ice sing in Igbo. Hwever Dbanj did sing in Igbo in his iigwe Track and it was nice but Singing in Yoruba has a Broader and Better Appeal than Igbo or any other Nigerian Language and You have to go with the winning formula to be successful

Just Imagine singing GONGO ASO or Yahoozee in Igbo or any other naija Language.Even MI's Anoti track had yoruba in it and it had nice appeal.

Lagos is where it is and Lagos is a Yoruba State

CORRECT!!! BUT THOSE SONGS U MENTIONED CAN BE SANG IN OTHER LANGUAGE DEPENDING ON THE ARTIST. ZULUZO HAVE THE SEXIEST LANGUAGE AND DANCE AND AM SURE WILL DO IF NOT BETTER WITH YAHOZEEEEEEE. I LIKE THE VOICE OF THAT YORUBA RAPPER THO VERY CRISPY.LOL

Music/Radio / Re: Why Do Igbo Artistes Sing In Yoruba? by dm1(m): 12:07pm On Mar 03, 2009
i think yoruba is more pleasing to hear in songs than igbo. yoruba rhymes with the modern day music and has been long used in the history of nigerian musicians from shino peters, fela and them them. but its all about production if the igbo musicians can come up with some form of unique talent by using the language in mordern music, who knows they can become a hit too just like the yorubas.

Politics / Re: Hausa As Petroleum Minister! by dm1(m): 4:51pm On Jan 29, 2009
Most response here are typical of Nigerians who are lazy,  dont want to work hard, uneducated, possibly poses furged or bought certifactes and dont want the country to move forward. Do you think with your attitudes even if the country is divided North and South, will you be able to make your side better? I dont think so. Not taking sides but I think the North will prosper better because there is no much sentiments amongs the majority of the people. Majority of the states take themselve as one, e.g persons from Kano, Jigawa, Zamfara, Katsina, Borno, Sokoto, Adamawa etc are all the same unlike the South where you have Calabar feeling different from Imo people and so on and so forth.
Like the saying goes 'neccesity is the mother of invention', North without oil will definately survive devising other means such as better Agriculture to feed themselves and are good in world politics to attain foreign help. The Northern people are the smartest Nigerians when it comes to politics and legitimate undertakens and would be proudly acknowledged for keeping the country together and running in the international eyes. I bet if the South is a country, there will be a Hotel Rwanda scenes shotting live from the first day. There is so much trouble in there resources than they can imagine. It is 1000% better for the majority of the to have the federal governement or rather the HAUSAS managing it than their own people doing it. This is because of the fear of losing innocent souls with them having control over the resources which is very obvious. And so called HAUSA NORTH will serve as assylum for majority of them.
In conclusion I would say the North is not spared of trouble itself and suffering at the beginning but could be better in a small time. So therefore, if you think splitting the country in two will solve the problem, then do it and we will be watching from here saying oh thats country in crisis. Though, thats not what I wish for dear motherland but hey destiny cannot be avoided and if so be it. You can write whatever in here but it wont make Nigeria a better place unless you keep all sentiments aside and work hard as patrotic citizens and create that better life you think we all deserve as one nation and not as a faction based on Geographic location of our resources.

Long Live Our President,

Long Live Nigerians,

Long Live Crude Oil,
