Some scientist are changing the way we cool our bodies when we sweat. MIT bio-engineer, Wen Wang, teamed up with her colleagues to use shape-shifting bacteria on fabrics to make it moisture sensitive. The result is a cloth that can ventilates whenever it senses sweat.

A team from Purdue University has developed a technique to convert the white fat (e.g. beer belly fat) into brown which is more easily burned.

The word fat is a familiar word, it is the stuff that all too easily accumulates around our bellies and thighs. However there is the white fat and the brown fat with the brown one considered healthier. A research that has been ongoing for about four years has seen the crew from Purdue University, Indiana U.S.A. develop a technique to convert white fat to the healthier brown fat which the body can burn easily. Their technique involves loading nano-particles with an existing drug like Dibenzazepine and injecting them into white fat deposits in the body.

Launched in 2013, the award is an international platform to identify and recognize the next generation of global creators and designers. Every year, thousands of young creative talent from around the world aspire to be selected for the final round. Those twelve finalists and their works will be introduced to the design community and beyond at Milan Design Week 2018, four of which will be mentored by established global designers and given a production budget of up to $30,000 USD to create actual prototypes.

Motorola is working on a new technology for self-healing screens that could see cracks on your phone fixed on the spot. It recently applied for a patent on a phone screen whose shape memory polymer heals damage when you subject it to rapid changes in heat.

In a patent filed February 2017, Motorola explains how a phone screen made out of shape memory polymer could heal itself. The self-healing screens would be able to detect deformations and heat would be applied to the cracked areas to reverse the damage that has been done.
In what seems like a dream for anyone who has ever smashed a phone screen, this could pave the way for an inexpensive fix for your problems. However, according to the patent, the heat reaction on the screen can't promise to fix all of the damages.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is delighted to announce a third cycle for the IOC Young Reporters Programme, a sports journalism training programme that will be run during the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018.

The Young Reporters initiative will bring 30 young reporters from five continents to the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires (Argentina), 6 – 18 October 2018, with the programme running from 30 September to 19 October 2018. Young Reporters will be accredited as “E” press, have access to all the sports, work and train in the Main Press Centre with all other accredited media, and receive specialised and intensive media training from senior Olympic journalists.

Concerning IPOB I think they need to reevaluate their maps... The Igbo state am looking at is one whose homogeneity is 99% Igbo, whose official language is standard Igbo and whose integrity would be defended by an Igbo army.

Even if we've to admit or give space to a non Igboid tribe to join us...the only one I'd support is the Igoni, not even the Mmoŋo or the Rukwo. They are the only ethnicity I'd support giving whatever benefits in order to have them join us. And unlike the Mmoŋo whose population run in millions(~4M) according to last estimate, the Igoni are just 500K in number and their territories connect us directly to our coastline at Igwenga.. Which means with railways from Igweocha and Afam,we can connect directly to eleme and bori onwards to our ports at ubani and opobo.
The other SS minorities claiming rubbish with Igbos should simply find their square root
